ATTN: Military Folks I don't suggest a membership at this gym. They aren't as military friendly, as they advertise, and they clearly aren't willing to work around the unpredictable aspects of the lifestyle. Well, unless you want to volunteer to donate hundreds of dollars to a gym without receiving services, I don't suggest getting a membership here. I prepaid for 8 months of membership in February and planned on using it until the end of 2020, when we were scheduled to move. However, my husband received surprise orders in May and we had to move at the end of June. I attempted to contact Island Club & Spa on May 10th, when we received the orders because I was hoping for a refund for the rest of my membership. They never responded. I attempted to contact them again in June and I was ignored again. I attempted to contact them again today and don't expect a response so that led me to reviews. In all of my attempts to contact, I have offered to provide official documents to confirm the move. It's just hard to work with a company that is completely ignoring you.

Horrible massage, rude parking attendant. I purchased a couples massage on Groupon. My husband never had his skin touched, the woman massaged over the sheet. Not kidding! Yes the gym is nice and the facilities such as the locker room are nice, but the parking and the massage therapist my husband had made us decide to not return. They also need to improve their management. We were supposed to get a tour of the gym, but they forgot about is, so we left. If you're thinking of joining try a day pass first or use Class Pass to make sure you like this place before you sign a contract.

By far one of the best gyms on the island. The facility is clean and you don't have to wait too long for any machine or cardio equipment. The membership price is a little on the higher side for Oahu gyms but it's worth it since they have a great spa, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, gym, personal training, monthly wine down Wednesday (pau hana pupus and wine), and occasional holiday parties. Plus theres ample parking for the gym members in the Koolani parking structure.

As intimidating as the price may seem, it's worth it if you utilize what they have to offer and go to the gym on a consistent basis. Extremely clean equipment and locker rooms. The reason for 4 stars is because they recently removed the towel supply from the locker rooms and placed them all at the front desk which can be inconvenient if you don't plan accordingly.

This company refuses to honor paid Groupon value! Not good and seems others in the reviews starting to feel the same.

I joined this club after moving to this area. Small enough to make it more personal and given it an upscale atmosphere. Clean, well managed and maintained by the owner and his team, never overcrowded. Whirlpool jacuzzi and sauna, but could be modernized a little. Clean filtered drinking water, a small refreshment cafe, and a nice staff always happy to help. I hired a personal trainer and he is not cheap. It is doing a great job. Member rates are unclear and a little confusing. It appears the friendly sales staff is always trying to upsell and deal. A typical stock market approach, and after all it’s not an inexpensive place to join. The most I ever paid for a gym membership but it’s worth the convenience and quality.

A very nice luxury Club. The workout areas, lounge, bathrooms, saunas, even the showers are always clean and well supplied. It's not the typical 'people every where, constantly waiting for equipment' type of workout place. You can get a great workout in, have a nice hot sauna, take a hot shower and all you need to bring is your clothes. They have everything from towels to toiletries to cold water for members. I love this club and my fitness results have been proof of what they can provide.

I try to never do negotiate reviews and I have debated this one for over a month because I love this facility and the amenities however they are limited in the ability to provide lower body work with free weights. They have one power/squat rack and one smith machine. Two months ago the bar racks broke on the squat rack. It is an older piece so replacement options are limited so they have tried to have it wielded twice now but should have know that wouldn’t work as it needs to be forged to be safe. Nevertheless that piece of highly used/popular equipment has been down for almost two months. I understand equipment is not cheap but If it can’t be repaired it should have already been replaced. If you are looking for a great gym this is it. If you need a good squat/deadlifting area there are several better option at a faction of the membership cost within a few blocks.

Love it. Just set my daughter to with a member ship. GM Mike has history with my other fav club, Honolulu Club that COVID took down. Mike is a great guy. Super accommodating.

Membership is expensive but if you prepay for the year they give you 3 months free. The second person is also cheaper if you enroll two people at the same time. Parking is never a problem here. If the top level directly outside the gym is full, there are plenty of reserved spots for them in the parking garage a floor below. Crowds are also never an issue. I never have to wait for machinery for very long and everything is well maintained. Machines that are broken are fixed quickly. The gym is also very clean. As someone who has caught ringworm at one of the bigger gyms on the island, I’m a bit paranoid about cleanliness. But I never have to worry about that here. Other members are also more courteous and I see them wiping down equipment after they are done with it. The locker rooms also have a steam room and hot tub which is nice. Shower area is large and also very clean. Overall, the membership here is worth the premium. I can be in and out of my workout fast since I never have to look for parking or wait for machines. Everything is clean and the amenities are great.

One of the best gyms in Kakaako/Waikiki area, with studio classes, well equipped machines, and cafe. The staff is professional and courteous. The facility is clean and is located inside Koolani building. Convenient parking and easy access.

Nice gym. Never too packed. I live one floor above it, so if you read this; please be courteous and don't drop your weights all the time. It feels like an earthquake...

Absolutely love this place! The staff is so nice & helpful. Geri is great, she always keeps in touch with members to let us know the latest deals going on regarding memberships/training sessions. They have a lot of equipment and are very clean. I love the locker rooms, steam room & sauna. They offer fitness classes and personal training which I have had a great experience with. They also have a small cafe in there, the girls there are extremely nice & make the best protein smoothies! I recommend Island Club & Spa to everyone! Definitely worth every penny.

Beautiful spa and gym. Not over crowded. Equipment is state of the art and clean.

I've been coming here for just a little over 2 months. I love the fitness center, there is always parking, they have spa services, the steam room, sauna, and that they provide towels. However, there are some things I don't think enough attention is put into. Women's locker room and showers for instance need a facelift ;)

Fitness class music is way too loud when class is outside.

I hope they are enforcing masks at this location better than Waikiki. This was one of MANY guests that were not wearing a mask correctly or at all. Absolutely unacceptable.

Clean, spacious, multiple group classes, free weights, & machines to choose from. Great instructors too!
