I would like to share my first impressions of my time at your facility. Two days ago(July-7-2016), I purchased a membership at the YMCA 1441 Pali Hwy #3, Honolulu, HI 96813 location. Was very pleased that I could join a family friendly facility where my nephew could join me in exercise activities, and have some fun. The next day(July-8-2016), I brought my nephew with me to show him some of the activities such as basketball, racquetball, that we could participate together with. Upon our arrival around 4pm, we started with cardio to warm up by using the jogging machine. Three minutes later an Asian male in his 20's approached my nephew and told him he could not use the machine because he was 10. Nowhere in the room was a sign stating an age restriction. Since he could not join me, we decided to use the basketball court, and the racquetball, and he had a great time. Before we left I decided to use the elliptical machine to end our day. Five minutes later the same gentleman walked up to us and said to me "I thought I told you not to use the machine." I explained to the individual that this was our first time at your location, and we were checking out the facility. I'am very disappointed at the reception received at your facility. As a place where families come in to exercise and have fun, this individual did not make me feel welcome to your YMCA at all.

I'm new to the YMCA and so far I really like it. It's really female friendly and clean. There aren't crazy meat heads grunting and ruining the vibe. I will say it didn't get 5 stars because it's only open till 7 on Saturdays and 5 on Sunday's. I really like having the flexibility of hours when it comes to the gym and this limits me a lot. They should consider having a set 4:30 am - 10:00 pm schedule. Other than that the staff seem to be really nice and welcoming.

The staff aren't really friendly. I useto go to 24 hr fitness. Ymca doesn't take the time to show you how to use the machines. Plus they didn't show you around when u first come in. 24 hr fitness is so much friendlier. Ymca just doesn't get you in the mood to do a workout.

This is my favorite place to go. I really enjoy working out at the Y! I lose a lot of weight although I eat a lot also. But it's nice to see the scale go down and to feel like my metabolism is speeding up.

Good equipment, weights and not to crowded. Great to get all your workout quick and nice to not be waiting.

I like going to this YMCA? The facility is nice and clean. Members and staff are friendly. There is a Subway inside to get food and drink. Lots of classes to choose from their group classes. I am now taking zumba and yoga from them. Good teachers!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. New equipment. Clean locker rooms and exercise areas. Pretty big pool. It gets kind of busy though since Central being renovated. Good experience all around ☺

Popular and active community center with lots of recreational and health classes and a lap-swimming pool. Entrance on the corner with Vineyard

Awesome staff and facility. My only complaint is the nasty, dirty ,restroom. Stained uririnal and floor needs a good scrubbing

Joined today, the staff at front desk was so welcoming and helpful! And , he helped me set up ymca app! Loved yoga class and instructor was terrific! Feeling good about my new routine!

The Nuʻuanu YMCA Branch is a welcoming place where itʻs a pleasure to meet friends and enjoy exercise.

Ample parking, plenty workout classes to choose from, friendly staff, gym facilities are great and clean. This branch has sauna.

Terrible customer service from the old short lady in front, I left for about a year due to her terrible treatment of me and my girlfriend when we tried to come for a 3 day pass. Makes it so hard for me to just work out, never look forward to seeing her at the front desk. The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Great daily gym. Offers a variety of group classes and has a multitude of spaces to find the workout you’re looking for. Some of the equipment is showing its age but the Y is replacing various machines periodically. Not perfect, but good enough. Hoping they will open on Sundays soon.

Old and dilapidated lockers, dirty bathrooms, calcified showers. There is a strange restriction for breath holding in the pool so if you are practicing advanced water survival or military selection prep forget about it. There’s four lanes so sharing is inevitable at this pool. Like any other place in Hawaii it closes incredibly early and since the local culture seems to abhor work you will get an earful if you leave even a minute after the closing time.

Please improve your phone service and cancellation procedure.

Signed my child up for cooking, and he was excited to cook at least 3 foods that the leaders said they would cook. In the end they only cooked one day out of the entire week. Not what he not i expected.

Good place to relax in sauna, steamroom, and a heated large pool with lanes to swim. There are gyms, and more

not good staffs are not good and i go to school right across the street and WE HAD TO READ FOR 15 MINUTES then have fun and i had to wait 2 hours for it to start which was almost my time to go home and when i had to read for 15 minutes i get to lose 15 minutes of fun to read which i joined to have fun but it was never fun not worth going there
