Like riding a wave; yoga with Tedd will leave you with wanting more. With his instruction, using the yoga breathing technique, along with movement focused specifically for the parts of my body which ails me, not only was I able to find relief, but I was able to have a sense of being present..., find peace. Just like surfing, yoga with Tedd will put a smile on your face. Aloha

I highly recommend Yoga Awareness as a studio for anyone interested in discovering how Yoga can positively change your life. Tedd and Masumi are not in this business to make money, they are teachers that care about your wellness. When you practice here there is no doubt you are experiencing Yoga as it is intended; to connect mind, body, and inner self. To achieve a friendly, compassionate and honest understanding within yourself, of what obstacles lay before you. If you are further intrigued the opportunity will always exist at Yoga Awareness to discover an achievable means to overcoming those obstacles.

I have good energy and am more alert following my Ayurveda treatments with Tedd. I was having ingestion issues and now feel great after years of searching for something to work. Tedd’s yoga instruction is very insightful and corrected my alignment…Tedd has the ability to see the detail and has the knowledge to help his students create the change. Tedd is a gifted Ayurveda therapist as well as yoga instructor.

I appreciate the fact that Tedd actually corrected me when there were ways for me to improve my posture. I am new to yoga, and I would like to know if I was doing something improper to my body, but it was rare at other studios. I also enjoyed the calmness of the class. While he gave detailed and clear instructions, he did not talk the whole time. There were abundant moments of silence that allowed me to absorb and integrate each practice.

I highly recommend Yoga Awareness! I have done yoga in a lot of studios around the world and finally I found an authentic yoga! Tedd's work is excellent; he is very talented to design a class to each need of the students. Starting yoga awareness has been one of the best decision I made for myself improvement.

I love Saturday morning yoga at the Temple of Peace in Haiku. Jessica is a fantastic teacher and really tailors the class to the students needs and requests. My practice has really improved since I started going and have such good energy the rest of the day!

Tedd is an excellent Ayurvedic therapist who is knowledgeable and compassionate. His treatments have helped my longstanding knee, back and neck pain. He has taken the time to craft yoga exercises personally for me that are also extremely helpful for relieving pain and strengthening my knee, back and neck. I highly recommend Tedd and Yoga Awareness.

It was a fresh experience: I could feel and tell which part of the body was difficult to stretch and comfortable. Surprised that I got sweat a lot! Very focused during the practice. My breathing deepened and my mind got clear.

I arrived at my training with no expectations. I got there not really knowing if I was good enough to be a yoga teacher, if I could move properly, if I was really the right role model for a class of students! I arrived with fear, and left with a new found sense of self love and self confidence in myself. I can say from my heart that this training has helped to change my life. Before attending the training and after, I have been through some of the hardest things I have experienced. If it was not for the teachings that Tedd has passed on to me, I don't think I would have come out of those experiences with a smile on my face and positive energy, just as I am now. I owe my happiness, self belief and self worth to Yoga Awareness and the teachings I have learned. This isn't just a teacher training. It is a journey, and one where you feel a part of something incredible along the way, and beyond. After my trainings, despite everything else that life has thrown at me, I continue to want to persevere on this journey with Yoga Awareness. I am evolving as a human and as a soul, as my studies evolve with me. Tedd is the best teacher I have ever come across, and Masumi is absolutely wonderful, they both have light, bright spirits and hearts, and they will help you to feel forever faithful to your self and your own belief in your abilities. These trainings were the best decision I have ever made. I have made a lifelong connection and I am so proud to be a part of this journey.

Tedd has been practicing yoga for ~25 years, and for the past decade or more, and for more than a decade, he's been traveling to India annually receiving in-depth continual training in the traditional Ayurveda. He is very well-learned and dedicated to this path...the results speak for themselves. When I arrived my blood pressure was racing and my energies were very far out of balance. My hair was falling out in fist fulls... I was diagnosed with Graves disease and a host of other auto-immune disorders. Nearly every part of my body was out of whack (due to 12 surgeries). After just a week of yoga, chanting and Ayurvedic oil baths, the mobility in my joints improved dramatically, my hair stopped falling out and for the first time in 20 years, I slept the whole night.... I had several nights of uninterrupted sleep, I can remember my dreams... I feel so much more at peace and in tune with the universe. Tedd gave me a practice to take home, so I can build on this momentum. He and his wife Masumi (also a yoga instructor) are yogis who practice Shanti in their daily lives...it was a delight to attend their clinic. Tedd is a genuine keeper of this sacred tradition. If you're a dedicated student of Ayurveda or if you are at your wits end and just want to heal, visit Yoga Awareness...I'm certain you will find the help you need on your path.

Yoga Awareness is like a hidden gem among yoga studios. Here, I finally feel like i’m practicing ‘authentic’ yoga. They follow a lineage where yoga is more one-on-one, where the group classes are small and there’s more individual attention. They continuously stress awareness of the breath and movement, which makes the asanas more enjoyable and interesting to do. Without this awareness, we’re just going through the motions! Now, my chronically stiff neck is looser and my back is feeling sturdier. After years of both fatigue and frazzled nerves, I’m now having more days of calm energy. My friends and I each have had “aha” moments in class, and we leave class energized, centered, and grateful. The trainings bring you to another level of awareness and understanding of what yoga can do for you. And you don’t have to be flexible or young to do these trainings! You are taught to recognize where your limits are and then learn how to safely go deeper from there. I’m learning to let go of some of the habits and concepts picked up from previous yoga classes, and I’m experiencing a new stability, ease and grace of movement. Even with challenging poses where I feel stiff, they teach how to go deeper and experience the subtle movements. Tedd is a sincere, dedicated yoga teacher and Ayurvedic practitioner and his treatments are effective and deep. I now see what Ayurveda can do, beyond diet and herbal supplements. With Ayurveda and yoga, my fatigue has been greatly reduced and I have a new sense of well-being. Masumi is a bright spirit and a beautiful, caring yoga teacher. I learn a lot just from watching her graceful movements. They both are dedicated to living the principles of yoga and Ayurveda and sharing these teachings. Mahalo and arigato to Tedd and Masumi!

In Yoga Awareness I found a special quality of instruction and a deep understanding of the vast heart of Yoga. Going far beyond the surface level of Asana practice, the instructors at Yoga Awareness have committed themselves to the traditions and purpose of a well-rounded practice. They share these teachings and the wisdom gained through first hand experience with their students in an intelligent, patient, and kind manner. If I could practice there each day I would. What a beautiful community of dedicated Yogis!

I just completed 13 days of continuous 1-on-1 yoga & Ayurveda therapy with Tedd and Matsumi san. I previously tried many different types of treatment for my chronic pain. Tedd emphasizes on the important basics which are correct alignment of body and peaceful mind which we so easily neglect and he patiently guides through them. I really enjoyed peaceful, happy practices and vibe at the studio. Will definitely continue my daily yoga regimen. Five stars indeed.

Yoga Awareness devotedly offers fine, high-standards teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda. Their Teacher Trainings and Self Trainings are a rare opportunity in the Western World to connect with the lineage of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, and to sincerely commit to one's practice, enriching through self-awareness. My experience has been of deep transformation and inspiration, ever enlightened in this path of yoga. Infinite is my apprenticeship, and so is my gratitude!

I’ve had a lower back pain for half a year and I needed to do something with it. I wanted to find out the cause and decided to take the Wellness program of YA. During the program, I took seven yoga classes of Ted’s and Peggy’s. They knew what was causing my pain at the glimpse of my asana movement and instructed me very carefully. They guided me what I should be careful about and how to move without hurting my lower back. I’ve adopted what I learned during my yoga practice and now I’m free from pain. I really appreciate their careful teaching. With asana practice and pranayama, I could focus on myself and meditate deeply. Yogaawareness yoga has led me to the right path and helped me step forward to deepen my Yoga.

😠 Well for starters, the membership price is way to high. I have a membership at other gyms across the entire United States, with better machines and more to offer, at a lower price. Compared to other gyms like LVAC in las vegas. 24 hour is just appallingly disappointing. You get less for a higher pri...
