Excellent, intense, brief fireworks! The hotel says it is at 7:45 but that is only the suggested time that you get there. The viewing location near the cantina gets full of beach blankets, so that is right. The prime viewing is along the orange cones blocking off the end of the Rainbow Tower, which prevents inconsiderate oafs from standing when the show starts and blocking your photo-taking. . The fireworks are lit from the coned area, so you are quite close. That means a great show, but it also means it is loud and you feel the concussion when the rockets launch and explode. It's like the subwoofer you wish you could afford! It could also frighten children, so please consider that. . The show lasted 4 minutes in our experience, beginning at 8:06. That was plenty of time to enjoy the excellent variety of shells and effects. The whole of the experience is wonderful and a must-do if you stay at the village. . Be aware that when it is over, the crowd jams the departure routes. Be patient, and make your way over to the WikiWiki store for shave ice. That's an exclamation point on the evening.

No fireworks until further notice due to pandemic. Staff said it had to do with the fireworks license. Sad, but still great night beach atmosphere.

Pretty neat having the chance to view "free" fireworks from anywhere on the amazing Waikiki beach. Find a spot and sit down and watch the show. Best to get down there early take some food and drinks and your camera and its a great night out. A must do if you down there.

The fireworks were nothing special. We were there in march and the start was 7:45 pm. Also it written the duration is 10 minutes, it was just 5 minutes. According to me it was nothing special. Good place for watching was near the US Military Museum

You do not have to fight for a spot! The fireworks are in the sky. There was fighting over spots on the sand closest to the water but the fireworks are in the sky. We arrived a little before 8 and it was perfect timing. Don’t change your plans to catch it because it only lasts about 5 minutes but if you’re in the area on a Friday night or are taking a nighttime cruise, it’s a good little show.

Pyrotec setup is right on the beach near the end of Kahanamoku Beach, 30 min before it starts security will guard the area and tell off people who are too close. Depending on wind they may rope off quite a bit of the beach. When the show starts you will be glad they did lol. Also beware of falling ash and debris. Stay safe.

Although, it’s not high tech and lasts for 5 minutes only but it was very nice with people on all areas of Waikiki beach sitting, waiting and enjoying the fireworks.

This was a surprise! I could see them from my hotel balcony. They were launched from the beach area behind Hilton Village. Beautiful display with music.

Fireworks are terrific! Thank you, Hilton … however, if you might shoot them up a few hundred feet more, the whole city could see these beautiful fireworks above all the 45 story condos. Good for the local people, and good for Hilton publicity, too! Let’s do it! Aloha, Mike

Plenty of room up and down the beach for a spot to view the fireworks. Nice fireworks and we always come and view them when we are in Waikiki. Show lasts about 5-10 minutes.

A spectacular show every Friday evening, after Luau, from the ground of Hilton Hawaiian Village. It is such a view to be able to watch the fireworks from a high floor of Lagoon Tower without much of blocking. The other building, Rainbow Tower, also provides an excellent view of fireworks.

Best fireworks show in Hawaii; lasts ~5 minutes beginning at 19:45 (7:45pm). Recommend heading to the Waikiki Walkway across the street from the Zoo. You'll have a better view of the fireworks and its less crowded. You will not be able to see the fireworks from anywhere on Waikiki Beach as they're blocked from view by one of the hotels.

Nice way to start Friday night . The show was short and finished in 10 minutes . Pretty crowded on the beach but easy to get there and out when it finished .

Short but good show. They were not super high end fireworks shot higher into the air, but was dull fun for a free show.

An amazing fireworks experience. Even better now it has returned from a covid break. A must see every Friday night.

Fireworks are decent, but short lived. As a tourist from Ohio, it was sort of appalling the type of behavior accepted here though. Parents smoking pot and using the F word in every sentence while speaking to their kids. Some guy in a Mazda Miata doing donuts in a crowded parking lot, and almost striking a child. Then I got screamed at by some homeless lady for walking too fast to make the walk sign, "maybe I should paint myself white, and I can walk however I want, f'ing tourists."

Make sure to be there before 8pm because there are no announcements and it will start with no countdown, bring something to sit on

It lasted 3 minutes!! Also the fireworks were not special in any kind of way. My neighbor does a better fireworks show.

Greatest way of celebrating the weekend ! Lots of people smoking lots of varieties!! If you don’t like that smell, find a windy location to avoid. People and local families start arriving almost from the evening.
