Amazing experience! The crew was very friendly and helpful. It was one of my friends first time snorkeling and she doesn’t not know how to swim so the crew stayed behind to help and make sure she and everyone in the boat had a great time and was able to see some sea life. They were very knowledgeable of the site and the turtle schedule. They also had snack for us to enjoy after the excursion. This was one of the best excursions my husband and I have been on and would definitely return and recommend to all.

The experience was awesome! The crew made us feel safe. They informed us of everything we needed to do to see the turtles. The crew was very informative pertaining to the equipment and they were cool people. We saw about 6 sea turtles getting cleaned by the fish. Turtle Canyon is beautiful!!

Captain Nate and his crew took us out today and it was a BLAST! From start to finish everyone was super friendly and energetic! We felt SAFE with this crew! They made sure everyone felt comfortable at all times! This was one excursion we were really looking forward to this trip and it did not disappoint. They also do sunset cruises at a discounted rate for returning customers! Looking forward to our next tour with Living Ocean!

This was by far the best part of our trip in Hawaii! All staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming before, during, and after our trip! CJ was out in the water with us and was so well versed in all the different sea life we saw! The captain was great, and the girls were super helpful! (Katie, Abby) We will definitely be recommending this company to all of our friends and families as a must do when they are here! We saw LOTS (15 or more) turtles, schools of fish, and reef life. We cannot thank y’all enough for making this so memorable for us!

We had an incredible time! we ended up booking living ocean tours twice within the same trip! Once for snorkeling with turtles I'd highly recommend to do the early tour if possible, we were the first boat to arrive at the turtle caves. We even had the pleasure of seeing dolphins there wasn’t a big crowd until the end when we were heading out. It was a beautiful experience. The 2nd booking was for the sunset cruise, most people were dressed up but I'd recommend to wear flats... if you want to take pictures at the end of the boat (likely you will want the iconic Titanic photo op) its a boat, so wearing appropriate shoes helps:). Both were awesome a definite must do if you are visiting Hawaii! Captain Kevin thank you!!

Went on Turtle Canyon snorkel tour. It was really great. We saw about 15 turtles during our 1 hour snorkel. We were the first group in the area, so wasn't crowded and saw many turtles. Captain and crews were wonderful. Two of them stayed in the water for the whole time, guiding us and looking for turtles and other marine lives. Definitely recommend. There is a reason why the reviews are so good for this company

We went on two tours: the turtle snorkeling and the sunset cruise. They were totally different vibes but both very good and professionally run. They provide drinks (water, cans of juice and soda) and snacks (little packets of mini crackers and cookies) on both. Both tours use the same vessel, which has 10 seats on the upper deck, 6 up front, and a lot on the main deck. It's probably worth getting there early enough to go up top, which we did on both tours, though it does require climbing a ladder which can be a little daunting on a moving vessel. The staff on the snorkeling tour were a well-oiled machine, all of them working together to get everyone their equipment, explain everything well, get everyone in the water, lead everyone around to where the turtles would be (we saw plenty!), and keep everyone feeling safe and happy. You simply cannot fault their hard work, diligence, and friendliness. They were super dedicated to getting us to see the turtles! I will say the actual snorkeling was a bit more stressful than expected. The water wasn't rough per se, but choppy enough with just enough current to keep you on your toes. And not only was our boat crowded but there were lots of boats out there with their own customers, so staying away from people was impossible and I definitely took a flipper or two to the face. The sunset cruise was a totally different experience altogether, as it's really just relaxing. The staff were there to provide the vibes, and they did it well. It was chill and beautiful, and it made us happy. It was also less crowded, which made it more pleasant. Altogether, you cannot go wrong choosing Living Ocean!

Alex, Joe, Lexi, & Captain Nate were great. I have anxiety about things on my face and breathing restrictions. They let me acclimate to the water, suggested I hang out on the Lilly pad, and let me know I didn't need to breathe thru the tube. They were super patient and helpful throughout. This is a family owned business, so I'm glad to support them. We had a wonderful experience snorkeling, saw a bunch of sea turtles and fish and even a whale! I highly recommend.

Took the first turtle tour on 7/9. While my family thoroughly enjoyed every minute with the turtles in the clear water for quite some time before any other tours came out, I unfortunately became very seasick. All of the staff took care of me making sure I got fins I could use, getting my exhausted and vomiting self back to the boat safely, and offering me Sprite and a barf bag. They checked in on me while we waited for everyone to return. I'm sorry I missed the turtles, but I was so grateful the staff went out of their way to make sure I was doing okay. P.S. Take anti-nausea meds the day before if you intend to go early.

Turtely Awesome time! This was my wife’s first time snorkeling and our first time in Hawaii. We sailed with Capt. Liz and her crew ( Brandon, Ella, Chase and Kyle). Such a fun group, took great care of us on land, on boat and in the water. Saw tons of fish, one after another turtle sightings, and even a white tip reef shark! Very cool experience! 10/10

My family had a great time on the turtle canyon snorkeling excursion. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a pretty big group we went out with, which made it a little hard keeping track of both kids. There were plenty of staff for the amount of people, I would just have preferred a smaller group. We plan on being scuba certified before coming back to Hawaii, but we would not hesitate at all to use Living Ocean Tours again.

I went on the turtle canyon 7am snorkel with my 8 year old. It was great. It was worth getting up early! We both had a great time. he kept up with the group and no issues with the snorkel, mask, and fins they provided. They also require you to wear an inflatable vest, but you don't have to inflate it. Turned out well though because I was easily able to add some air to my son's when he got tired part way in. We saw dolphins, flying fish, a monk seal, tons of fish, and of course turtles. Just FYI we were staying on North shore and the wave energy was SO high (sand washing up on the road high), I was expecting a cancellation but it was completely calm on this side, so don't let that deter you.

This tour was excellent. We saw lots of turtles swimming and on the surface. Many reef fish were ubiquitous. The staff was awesome. Great views of Waikiki too.

Even though it was cloudy, it was still a great trip. You get a good view of waikiki and the Diamond Head Crater from the water and the perfect spot to see the sunset. We liked that the business is family owned; the whole crew was wonderful. If you want a quieter spot (in case of a big drinking party like we had on our tour), just head up to the front of the boat. Best views are from there anyway!

Booked very last minute and was glad I did! Crew was phenomenal and very friendly. They also provide water, soda, hawaiin juice, and snacks. We saw about 10 turtles in the hour of swimming. It was a great investment. The waters were choppy but the boat cut them well and no one onboard got sick.!

Did a snorkel ride with Living Ocean yesterday to see the sea turtles and we had a great time!! The captain & crew were super fun, energetic, attentive, and knowledgeable! The boat and snorkel gear was clean/sanitized and in great condition as well. We took a nice boat ride from the Ala Moana piers to a large coral reef area just off Waikiki, where the turtles like to hangout and get themselves cleaned up. We saw a ton of fish and a handful of sea turtles, and the crew that was in the water with us were super engaging and had a ton of cool facts and info about all the sea life around us! Overall a great experience that exceeded my expectations— I would definitely recommend them and plan to book a scrub excursion with them next time we’re in town! 10/10👍🏽

Awesome experience. The crew was super laid back and helpful. My wife and I went with our 12 year old son. It was the first time we had gone snorkeling and felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time. We saw several turtles, a ray and a bunch of fish. Very cool and worth the money and time. The boat and gear are clean and well maintained and the crew was exceptional. Thanks for a great time.

The crew was great about informing us what to do and making sure our gear fit right. When it came time to go snorkeling with the turtle's they took us in 3 different groups and make sure we knew what we were doing while in the ocean. The staff made sure to keep us safe and to help us see sea life! After returning to the boat they took us out to look for whales! Success.... there she blows.... got to see a gray humpback whale. Highly recommend these guys over other companies. Very organized and run their business right!!!

We went on sunset cruise recomended by my travel agent at Jones Journeys. Living Ocean was awesome. The crew was fun, funny, with just the right amount of information. Smooth ride, loved the price and the BYOB!!!

The tour and crew were phenomenal. They certainly deserve the several five-star reviews posted here. The crew was very friendly, informative, and patient. The boat was nearly full but still had plenty of room to where it didn't feel crowded. We saw several sea turtles as promised and the adventure was well worth the cost. Be sure to read their informative pre-tour email to get all the details. Thank you for the great time!

My husband and I went snorkeling, this was my first time. The crew was great, very friendly and made us feel confident, and we had so much fun! We were sad to return to land and would definitely do this again... like, tomorrow, after a nap 😂

The staff was very timely getting started. We did the 9:30 tour and when we got out to the snorkel spot there were a few boats but not many swimmers in yet so we got prime reef spot and probably saw 10-15 turtles during our time out. Multiple staff in the water and on the boat to help with equipment, and one staff member gave extra attention to those who were not confident swimmers and helped them to learn so they could also get to the area of main attraction. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

  • 5/5 Jonovan O. 1 year ago on Google
Wonderful! Our guides pointed out multiple turtles and also explained many of the other fish in the area. We especially liked how they split us into two groups: more experienced snorkelers and beginners. That way the people who had snorkeled before didn't get slowed down by the novices, and the people who were new to snorkeling didn't get left behind / feel like they had to try to keep up with the faster swimmers.

The snorkeling experience was really awesome. There’s snacks, cold water and drinks so you don’t need to bring any of that with you. The crew(Alex, Nate and Nyle) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend for first timer like me. (Here’s a pic of the turtle we saw.)

  • 5/5 Libby L. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely amazing! The crew is so nice and welcoming. They made sure to check that everyone was feeling comfortable and having a good time, which was much appreciated for a couple of nervous first timers like us. We saw dozens of turtles and got some amazing pictures. Plenty of time in the water for a very reasonable price. Would 100% recommend and do again!

HAND DOWN THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF OUR WHOLE TRIP! The boat is clean and beautiful! The whole crew gets ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - They make sure your comfortable with your surrounding and make you feel safe. The reef and turtles were breathtaking! 100/10 would recommend this! When we come back to Hawaii we will be using them again!

First time snorkeling!!! They made our trip a total success. Thank you to all of the crew snorkeling w the little ones isn’t as easy but you guys made it so much better. We loved it so much we’re hoping they have room for us to try again before our Hawaii vacay is over! They’re super professional and so friendly! Definitely book it !!! It was our favorite experience!!! We saw 4 turtles and tons of fish. We will always cherish the memories!

I had the best time cruising off into the sunset with the whole crew at Living Ocean! 🌅🛥 The views of Waikiki and beyond are truly breathtaking! Especially to see the skyline at golden hour and then after the sun sets when all the stars and city lights are twinkling. It's the perfect opportunity and occasion to take photos. I was having too much fun and forgot so I just have screenshots from a video I took. The boat is new and the crew is top notch! You will have the time of your life! Highly recommend you don't miss this when you come to Oahu. I'm dying to do their snorkel tour next and hopefully see Hawaiian sea turtles (from a respectful distance) because that is always so special. Thank you Living Ocean team!

Worth every penny! The guides were friendly and they taught beginners how to do snorkeling the right way. They took all of us inner side of the ocean and we saw turtles and many other kinds of fishes. It was a great experience.
