Fun and educational submarine tour from Waikiki. The tour starts with the boat ride from Waikiki Hilton pier to the dive site, transfer to the submarine and then diving below. A lot of effort has been made to seed the reefs with a sunk tanker and a couple of sunk airplanes. The narrator gives a good overview of the natural history of the ecosystem and how they are trying to conserve it.

Amazing experience, worth the price! A boat takes about 10 min to get to the submarine, during that time you get to enjoy the incredible view of the bay and all hotels. Crew members were nice, funny and polite. You may get sea sick while waiting to board the submarine so be prepared. There are paper bags handy in case you need them. Saw about 5 sea turtles and tons of fish, natural and artificial reefs, most of them artificial.

We had high hopes for this tour based on all the stellar reviews. Perhaps we got unlucky today, but we didn't see much. You spend as much time on the ferry to and from sub as you do on it. It's neat to be 100 feet down and see the plane, boat, and artificial reefs, but we anticipated seeing much more marine life. Saw a few fish here and there. Not worth the nearly $500 we spent for 4 of us. 4 stars because they offered a partial refund, but make sure your expectations are set accordingly.

Holy smokes what a rush! Being that far down in the ocean was crazy! We seen sharks, big sea turtles, so many different types of fish, and the wreckage was so cool that we went scuba diving afterwards. This is the item to add to your bucket list if you have not done so yet. The staff will feed you with so much history and knowledge that it blows your mind. Plus they are funny while giving you the story. The submarine was comfortable and you didn’t feel closed in. The water was so clear you had amazing views. Coming up out of the water was also neat. You got to see how they released all the air so we could rise to the top. Hands down a cool experience.

What a memorable experience! Never thought I'd end up in a submarine, but I'm glad to have done it in Hawaii. We got our tickets outside of the Hilton hotel near the Fort DeRussy Beach and waited at the dock for the boat to take us in the middle of the water where the submarine from the previous tour came out of the water. You basically switch turns with the people from the tour right before yours. We got on the top of the submarine and went down some more narrow stairs to enter the inside of it (watch your head and the person's head below you). Before going down, make sure you're with your party because it's pretty much a one-way walk down the single seats facing one of the two sides of the submarine. We saw some interesting things down there from many years ago including old boats and airplanes! We also saw a few sea turtles and of course, fish. They make a u-turn so that people sitting on the other side can see what you saw first, which is nice because no one misses anything. We went down more than 100 ft. I was nervous at first, but then it felt normal. When we finished the tour, we went back up the stairs and back onto the same boat that took us to the submarine to get back to shore. They had a mini snack/drink area for purchase and free water in a cooler upstairs. Definitely recommend for the experience!

Holy smokes! This was just amazingly awesome! Never been on a sub before and this was the best ever! The staff are super helpful and the trip to the bottom of the ocean was so cool. We saw so much, however as it's the wide ocean who knows what you will see, could be a few fish or a pod of dolphins or a shiver of shakes, but only you will know once you have done it. Totally recommend, it's not every day you go on a submarine! Thank you so much! Was the best!

It took us about 45 minutes to drive to Honolulu from our hotel and to check in at the Atlantis kiosk. From there, it was a short walk to the dock where pictures were taken and where we waited for our boat. During the wait, we enjoyed the beautiful ocean views and quick sightings of sea turtles. The boat ride out to the submarine took about 20 minutes and at the time, was quite choppy. If you are someone who gets seasick…this may not be the adventure for you. The coolest part of this tour, for me, was standing on top of the submarine as we ready to board. How often can people say they’ve been on top of a submarine! Besides that though, the ocean and skyline was breathtaking. The submarine descended to about 100 feet. We were able to see artificial reefs and the many aquatic life it supported. Our guide was informative and we loved learning some island history. This tour makes you appreciate their conservation efforts. A portion of your ticket price goes towards this effort which makes it worth while.

My 5 year old son loved it! We dove 112ft into the ocean; saw variety of fishes, a shark, a big starfish on the bottom of the floor and a sea turtle. Our guide person was so informative and knowledgeable and also had a great sense of humor. We enjoyed the entire trip. Definitely worth the $$$$!

Wonderful experience. The submarine take 100 meters deep in to the see and great view of sea life. Got a chance to see a turtle and stingray along with many type of fishes and corol reefs. This tour starts with a transport in small ship taking passengers to mid sea where the passengers are transferred to submarine after the previous passengers get out into ship. The tour is good for toddlers but they must meet the 36 inch height requirements but not sure if they consider below that. Over all a great experience in Hawaii.

Booking this excursion cost a pretty penny for our family of 3 but heck, it was our epic vacation in Hawaii for a first time and for many milestones so why not?! Had to calm a few nerves, seeing that it was so soon after the Titan submersible tragedy, but I was always reassured that we were in good hands in the world’s largest commercial submarine. Our toddler is obsessed with sea creatures and he had a ball! We were ecstatic too. We cherish that we did this and in Hawaii. Totally worth the experience.

This was an incredible experience! The trip consists of a ten-minute boat ride to the submarine itself. Once aboard, you are seated, and the adventure begins. You can see a variety of wildlife including turtles, fish and we saw a shark. Overall, the ride was incredible, and our teenage kids loved it. I would highly recommend it. Issues: The location to check in is a little confusing due to its location. If able, I would suggest a few more signs directing customers to the check-in stand. Not a huge deal, but a consideration. Also, on the boat to the submarine, I would suggest those going to the submarine be seated on one floor, and those who got off go to the adjacent floor. I only recommend this because many customers got in the way of those trying to board the submarine. Again, not a huge deal and didn’t cause any significant issues. Great job to the crew!

I personally wanted to thank Beau at the kiosk on the beach! He was super helpful and without his assistance we would have never figured out what and how everything needed to be to get on the last trip of the day! Thank you Beau!!! Beau started the trip off on the right foot, the rest of the team was very friendly and funny! Everyone was very professional and made my nervous family feel at ease! The boat ride to and from the submarine was an awesome opportunity to get some beautiful photos. We also had a very entertaining speaker on the submarine ride and she was awesome at locating some cool highlights while touring the ocean floor. I would recommend this company to all my family and friends!!!!

We saw lots of fish, one shark, and several turtles. We booked this tour since my parents are not comfortable with snorkeling, and we all liked it! It is definitely a different experience from snorkeling. We didn't see many fish until we went near those old ships and artificial corals though. Great tour for those never tried submarine or not good with snorkeling

Amazing adventure by Atlantis Submarine Tour. Incredible experience with a dive in to the sea 100 feet deep. Once in a lifetime experience. Good narration given by the staff throughout the tour. Excellent seating arrangements and awesome view of ocean bottom with various species of plants and fish varieties. Worth visiting. Enjoyed a lot.

My husband and I were so happy we took this tour. We love the funny narration and stories of the underwaterlandscape, the different sites(shipwrecks/ downed airplanes), all the different beautiful fish, sharks. It actually felt as if we were inside of a fish tank! Lol I highly recommend it. It's great for kids too!

Great Experience ! The crew is excellent, they make jokes all the time, they try to explain everything about the island, local fish … they are great ! First you board the ship, sail for about 15 minutes to the submarine, sailing is great because you experience the whole panorama of the city and a great view ! You can see a large number of different fish, turtles, sharks if you are lucky If you want to try ride first time with submarine , this will be great experience for you !

The submarine tour was super cool. It got down to over 100 feet in depth and took us around several wrecks on the ocean floor. You are pretty much guaranteed to see sharks and all sorts of fish. This was a super cool experience and the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the fish and about Hawaii in general. The tour did not take that long. It was a good length.

This is an awesome experience. The sub was spacious inside. We saw so many cool things; sea turtles, reef shark, many different fish. It was like scuba diving and staying dry. The boat ride to and from the sub was also a fun ride in itself. We would absolutely do this again.

Awesome adventure. Great opportunity to see undersea life without having to get wet. Watch sea turtles relaxing on sunk ships that are now reefs teaming with wildlife.

I was thrilled with this ride. Such an amazing thing also my daughter loved it. It’s a unique experience can’t express my words, you need to try it out yourself. It’s worth trying to get that experience of going under water in a submarine.

What a Fantastic experience it was. Operator was very punctual, courteous and helpful. First a boat takes you from Hilton Village Waikiki to the rendezvous point to meet up with the submarine., then they Offload the passengers. There are two pilots and two captains to make sure that you are seated and secured before descending in to the depths of Pacific Ocean. The submarine takes you down About 115 feet before returns to surface. Tiffany was our captain, she was entertaining and informative. Had a fantastic view of sea creatures including huge sea turtles and yellow tails. A school of dolphins were cruising along the boat which was entertaining. A must visit when in Hawaii.

Highly recommend indulging in this unique experience if you have the time! We didn't get to see too much marine life the day we went but the submarine itself was worth the time and money! All of the staff was extremely pleasant!

This was a wonderful experience. It's very family friendly. We enjoyed the views. We saw a spotted sting ray, 2 sea Turtles, a green eel, and a barracuda. Very neat. I'd recommend it simply for the experience even without the wildlife. It's neat to say you've been in and ridden in a submarine. We went down about 105 feet.

Just went today and it was awesome! The boat ride there had so many pretty views and you could see the submarine coming out of the water which was awesome. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful too!! The submarine itself was pretty spacious and was pretty comfortable. The staff also narrated the whole experience to us which was awesome! We saw so many different fish and even a sea turtle! There were 2 sunken ships they took us to and also showed us an airplane. Best experience so far on our trip!! Many people say it’s bad, however it could just be that there aren’t many fish out that day. IT IS WORTH THE MONEY!! Great tour. Highly recommend!
