Beautiful Cemetery and Temple. You should book a bus tour beforehand. My tour guide was very informative and I had enough time to see everything. Very peaceful memorial site.

Loved the location. You can spend 30 min in this location to enjoy the nature and the temple architecture. There is a tiny lake full of fish around the temple, and worth your time.

This well-manicured memorial park is breathtaking! It’s worth the extra time and energy to drive around and take in the different views/perspectives of the various memorials. The Buddhist temple in the back is beautiful! Get out of the car, walk around the grounds, meditate, ring the bell, feed the koi fish and birds and watch the graceful black swan mesmerize guests. Truly. You won’t regret it; it’s good for the soul.

Temple is in the back and parking can be troublesome, $5 entry per person, the line to go inside the temple is ~30 mins. The area around the temple is more enjoyable! There's ~100 koi fish in the pond, $2 to feed the fish/birds (very worth it), area is so scenic.

Seriously one of the most beautiful places on earth! I’m so glad we stopped here! It was kind of a last minute stop as we were figuring out things to do before heading to the airport. We loved it!

HORRIBLE experience. My wife was very excited to visit this temple and after paying respects inside, we walked out and headed toward the gift shop. A young local woman hurried up behind my wife (who was enjoying the scenery). Apparently my wife wasn’t moving fast enough and this woman started waving her arms and making a fuss. I called to my wife, “Honey, let this lady pass, she’s impatient.” At which point the woman turned and yelled at me for daring to point out the obvious, then stomped off to the bathroom. As we rounded the “serenity pound,” this lunatic came out of the restroom and walked along the opposite side, maddogging me, making faces and motioning me to “come at her.” I laughed and turned to my wife, “That crazy moron wants me to fight her! I guess the Temple has to honor ticket entry to the mentally stable and unstable alike!” Then, much to my amazement, we watched as this nut job walked up the stairs and into the business office… SHE. WAS. AN. EMPLOYEE!!! I reported to the gentleman at the ticket booth that a “young local female employee wearing all black was trying to start fistfights with guests who aren’t walking fast enough” but I doubt anything was done. All this to say, if this is their idea of “Zen and Aloha” we’ll pass! 🤣😂🤣

The staff was rude. I went there today with my wife to meditate, the staff kick us out, just when we were about to reach the heart. He guy came to us and raise his voice to tell us the park is close, this was at 5:30pm, and is suppose to be a 24hr park. We apologize saying that we didn’t know that because of the hours on google maps. He then said with attitude, that he was waiting on us to go home. And it wasn’t even sunset; sunset today is at 7:18pm. The website says the open hours are from sunrise-sunset.

This was one of my favorite stops. It was sooooo peaceful and scenic. Very clean and serene. We were Pleasantly impressed with the surrounding beauty & their history. We paid our respects and lit insence to honor Buddha. What a treat to venture into another world.

The drive up is very scenic. The actual statues in the temple are quite fantastic. There's also many cats as well roaming the premises. It was a very exhilarating and spiritual experience.

Absolutely beautiful. I spent about 20 minutes here during a tour, and it was blissful. So beautiful, pictures looked fake and it was more gorgeous in person. Definitely a must see if you’re here in Oahu.

In fact, it’s a cemetery, and if you don’t want to go visit the fancy temple, I’m not sure what it is, I didn’t go see it, you can just go inside and walk around for free. A pretty, peaceful place with a lot of cultural history and interesting architectural designs. Different religious creeds have different sections in the cemetery.

A beautiful temple located minutes away from windward mall. There is a koi pond in the front of the temple and with mountains as backdrop. It's not a place where you can spend a whole day at but spend at least half an hour to enjoy the tranquil, serene environment.

Lovely place but price is a bit steep for the attraction. The temple itself is a showpiece and not quiet for prayer or contemplation. Fish in the ponds are oversized and being fed to death due to commercialization of selling fish food by the temple. Drive around the other areas and take dramatic photos of the Jurassic park like Mountains.

My family and I have visited this memorial park several times. It's located at the base of the Ko'olau mountains. There is a small parking lot before you enter the grounds. There is an entrance fee of $5 a person upon entering. Be prepared to pay in cash. You are then able to walk around the park area. There is a sacred bell, which you can ring. It is said to bring you good health and happiness. Inside the temple there is a golden Buddha. It is over 9 feet tall. In front of the temple there is a pond that contains koi fish, turtles and black swans. You can buy little bags of food in the gift shop to feed them. My girls always enjoy doing this no matter how many times we've visited.

I absolutely love this place, the physical structure and just the feeling of being present was calming. It's like a physical and mental calming, you become one with yourself if only for that moment! I truly recommend taking a few moments out of your day and relax, but please be mindful this wonderful place is on burial grounds. Also check out all the stray cats that hang out around the Pet Cemetery.

Must visit! This is such a great experience. When you drive into this place you get a sense of how important family and love mean to the Hawaiian people. I've never seen families come together at the loved ones' gravesite to have a picnic and fellowship. As you drive further into the Memorial Park you see every a representation of every faith. It is so beautiful to see them all in one place. It's not common in the mainland (states)
