We took the morning tour on a Monday. Plenty of parking at the harbor with two bathrooms. The check in process was quick and once the boat was loaded, it was a quick 15 min boat ride to the sandbar. The boat has plastic bins to keep your belongings dry and the staff provided lifejackets to anyone under 12 for the boat ride. Once we got to the sandbar, the crew (Z and Jamie) gave great instructions and guidance. They were clear with when we needed to be back at the boat - I think we got to the sandbar around 9:30-9:45 and they asked us to return at 12:10. Z suggested we snorkel first as it's more likely to be clear and the turtles will be around. Snorkel gear is provided but not fins. They also require and provide life jackets for anyone snorkeling. Jamie took us out to snorkel and gave clear directions in where to snorkel. We saw many turtles while snorkeling! Once you are tired of snorkeling, you can swim or walk back to the boat. The barge also has floaties and SUPs to use. The experience out on the sandbar was amazing. The view of Kanahoe from the water was spectacular and it was fun to walk in the middle of the ocean. I would highly recommend taking this tour with Captain Bruce. Z and Jamie made sure we were safe and were very friendly and the experience is so unique. Would recommend a wet suit for snorkeling since the water isn't that warm.

The best experience- every staff member was absolutely lovely from the bus driver to the boat crew. I’m not an experienced swimmer and they accommodated me and gave me my own swim buddy crew member who pulled me along on a lifeguard floaty. She also pointed out the sea creatures - including Gil and Crush from Finding Nemo and a sea cucumber Very safe - we received life jackets and snorkels - during booking you can request prescription snorkels. Bring a beach towel, water shoes, baseball cap, rash guard, swimsuit, wear sunblock, if you have any dietary restrictions (vegan/veg/gf- buy and bring your own lunch) they provide fried chicken and spam musubi, chips , Hawaiian cookies and provide snacks, fruit, cold/hot drinks ( coffee tea cocoa) onboard. After snorkeling you can paddle board or grab a donut and float on the sandbar! There’s also a bathroom on the boat 😅 So nice and everyone is so sweet. Highly recommend this! 🤗 Our bus driver gave us local food and restaurant recommendations and pointed out landmarks on our trips - his shining moment was taking us to Leonard’s bakery for Malasadas - get the haupla/coconut one :) Had the best time!

First time at the sandbar, and I lived here all my life. My 13 year old and I arrived at 9am, which was great because about 10 minutes later there was no parking and people had to park on the street - so go early. Our boat was leaving at 9:30am, so at 9:15am sharp they checked our temperatures, checked our names and we were onboard and off within minutes. It took (literally) 10 minutes to get to the sandbar, it was that close. We walked off the boat and wandered the sandbar for awhile and even saw an octopus swimming off and away from us. The views of the Koolau are spectacular as we sat and enjoyed the view from the water. I got to snorkel and saw so many reef fish and turtles (honu) down below. The water was clear and just beautiful for snorkeling. The boat is clean and they were very careful to explain the rules of the sandbar (ie: don’t harass the turtles, stand or kick the reef and social distance when you’re on the boat. Drinks were stocked, and they had paddle boards and floaties for the kids. Thankfully the sandbar tide was low 10am, it started getting higher when we were leaving 12:30pm. 2 1/2 hours were enough to get me sunburned that weekend. Thank you for a wonderful tour, I’ll be back soon... very soon!

From beginning to end this tour was AMAZING! We caught the shuttle out to the bay where we get on the boat. Before getting on the boat we checked out what we could see from land, FISH! Right there in the little rose pools were ANGEL FISH! Our boat was captained by Zan(or "Z"), the crew was Dawn and Chris. All of them treated us like we had been friends forever. It felt like a group of buddies going out for a day on the water. As we headed out we stopped and they pointed out Turtles we could see from the boat. This got us even more excited and hyped up! When we got to the sandbar we got our snorkels and life vests and were ready to go... almost, my daughter and I had never gone before so we really had no idea what we were doing. No worries, Chris was very helpful and everytime he saw me come up he asked if I was OK. Once he was confident I was comfortable he brought the fish to me! It was so cool to see all these amazing fish swimming around my legs! We saw some turtles swimming and some napping. At one point I was all by myself and I was just floating there and all of a sudden I heard a flap, I turned around and there was a turtle! It was right there, no more than a foot and a half away from me!!! I couldn't believe it, my very own turtle moment! Remember, don't touch, as tempting as it is when they are that close, it's a $10,000 fine! There were sodas, juices, and chips on the boat and even 1 homemade musubi for each person! If you haven't tried Spam musubi, try it! It is LIFE! I want to go again, but my daughter wants to scuba dive, next time, instead!

We had a very memorable and fun experience on the boat cruise to the Kaneohe sand bar with Captain Bruce. It was our first time there and we’re so glad we went. The crew was so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. My 13 year old daughter went snorkeling and enjoyed it a lot. She was actually the last one in the water, all by herself but the staff still remained in the water and continued to watch and monitor her to ensure she was safe. I thought that was excellent customer service! I would love to go back again and recommend all of my family and friends to check it out.

This sandbar tour was so much fun! The shuttle service from Waikiki was super convenient. Boat ride to the sandbar was beautiful. We saw a large turtle and lots of fish while snorkeling. They had lots of tubes and paddle boards to use in addition to snorkel gear. The crew was fantastic! So welcoming and went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great experience. Would definitely recommend this tour!!!

A great, fun and easy way to spend a few hours at the Kaneohe sand bar. Super cool crew on the boat. We snorkeled with lots of fish and turtles. Safe and highly recommended. I am a local resident and I’ll go again. Guaranteed.

All I can say is wow—we had an awesome time on our snorkeling trip to the sandbar. This experience is very beginner-friendly. My husband and I are not great swimmers and also wear prescription glasses, so I booked this trip with the idea that if we weren’t able to snorkel for one of those reasons, there would still be other fun water activities for us to do and we wouldn’t have to just stay on the boat. To our surprise, they had prescription snorkel goggles available and the guides get in the water with you to help guide you safely across the reef while snorkeling and point out any turtles along the way. Our guides (Josanna, Jamie, and others!) were SO helpful and friendly and made snorkeling very accessible for us with not great swimming skills and poor eyesight. We saw beautiful coral, fish, and turtles and got to hang around the shallow sandbar in inner tubes afterwards. While snorkeling they require you wear life jackets but can take them off when hanging around the sandbar. The boats have ladders to get on and off and the guides are great at keeping an eye on guests to make sure you’re safe. We are in our 20s but this is perfect for all ages. Highly recommend. This was my husband’s favorite part of our trip and I have to agree. 10/10. Also the bus driver was super cool too and snacks/drinks/places to keep your bags dry are provided. Will be rebooking next time we visit.

Absolutely a highlight to my trip. Grateful to have Captain Robin, KC and Karen guide us through our Sandbar Snorkel Tour. They’re fun, high energy and very informative and helpful. Can’t rave about these 3 enough. They are THE best? The boat itself was comfortable, fully stocked with drinks and snacks. The ride was smooth sailing, the sandbar was BEAUTIFUL. There was SUPs, floaties and other fun stuff to use while chilling at the sandbar. During snorkel time, we saw turtles and lots of fishes. Definitely a must when you’re on the island. Thank you captain Robin, KC and Karen!

I was here for a solo trip and did some research and landed on this tour. It was super fun and relaxing! Really enjoyed the free stuff we could use such as the paddle boards and inflatable tubes! A nice perk was that they offered me prescription goggles for the snorkeling portion. I’m blind as a bat so having this option was amazing because I never knew it existed. Definitely changed the snorkeling game for me! Also thanks to Captain Robin, Karen, and Irving. Got a chance to talk to them for a few minutes and they were all super friendly, helpful, and funny! Thank you for the fun experience!

Amazing experience snorkeling with the Sea turtles and seeing the reef and tropical fish, we saw angel fish, puffers, so many gorgeous fish and some large schools of them. We had fun hanging out on the sandbar, plus our crew had so many cool floats and boards for us to use too. The life guards there were great, one even helped show my dad how to snorkel bc he had never been. Everyone was so helpful, I'd recommend to anyone who wants to make some great memories.

We held the second part of a celebration of life for my son on the catamaran. Everyone involved with Captain Bruce, our boat captain Jason and crew were so kind responsive and wonderful. It was a sad, joyous, wonderful experience for all of on board and I am so grateful to all the staff.

The best excursion we have ever done. Communication regarding reservations were excellent from start to finish. Very responsive to questions sent via their website. Robin and crew were top notch! They were friendly explained everything in detail and gave special attention to first timers. Snorkeling around the reef and literally swimming with the sea turtles was amazing and the sandbar is absolutely beautiful.. Highly recommended

My wife and I loved this excursion to the Sandbar. The crew was amazing. The shuttle service was also very convenient as they picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back off. The shuttle driver even stopped by Leonard’s food truck so we could get some malasadas. On the boat itself, the crew provided snacks and drinks. You could even help yourself to some coffee and hot water which was great since we felt chilly after swimming. (Don’t forget to bring your own towels.) We went snorkeling by the reef and spotted several sea turtles that were huge! They provided all the equipment, and I loved the life jackets because these were the good kinds that don’t smack you in the face. We also got to use paddle boards which was fun but requires a good deal of balance (at least for me!). In total, do not miss out on this beautiful experience! Just book it already!!

Great trip to the Sandbar. The team was great and very cordial. They have activities at the same bar including snorkeling, paddle boarding, rubber tubing. All equipment are provided free of charge. They have snacks and drinks on the boat for when you get hungry. The overall time for the trip was 3-4 hours. Would go again and recommend to anyone.

What an incredible time with Captain Bruce! We had a wonderful experience with Captain Robin and Kevin - relaxed, fun, and safe snorkeling at the Sandbar. We saw tons of fish, turtles, and did a little paddle boarding towards the end. Drinks and snacks are also available on the boat. They have life jackets for everyone and make sure it’s a good time for all! Thank you Captain Bruce!! Highly recommend this tour if you want to snorkel with turtles and just looking to have a great time in Oahu.

I had always wanted to go to the Sea of Heaven, and I was so happy that I finally got to go. We also met a lot of turtles and saw some fish swimming around. We also enjoyed activities on paddle boats and floats. All the staff were also nice people. I thought that such a beautiful sand beach was a blessing of Hawaii. I'm glad my daughter enjoyed it too. MAHALO
