Me and my wife came to Hawaii for our honey moon and we both have always wanted to surf. Our Surf instructor was the owner Ron for a private lesson and he was awesome!! Me and my wife got up the first time and actually got up like 5 times each. Ron was super friendly and knew a lot about surfing. He took us where all the waves were and even gave us a push each time to get us going. He also gave us recommendation on some great places to eat around the area. if you're coming to Waikiki beach and want to take surf lessons I wouldn't go anywhere else than beach boy hale. Prices are the best in town for lessons and pictures and Ron and his staff are the best!

These guys were positioned on the beach near Outrigger Reef Hotel, they sell Maui Jim sunglasses as well as book surf lessons, the booth is run by a surly South American type just so you don't confuse booths selling lessons. I booked a group lesson for $65 and to my surprise was walked all the way up to the Duke Statue part of the beach. The instructor did not look impressed when he saw me (I am over 40 female), I was placed in a class with three kids. Things went ok until on my second wave my board flipped over, the boards are very large and very heavy and it took me ages to flip it back over. Meantime the instructor was nowhere to be seen, I am quite a good swimmer but someone less able could have become exhausted and been in serious trouble as there was no one around for a full 15 minutes. On my next attempt I actually managed to stand up so that was good and gave me some confidence. Soon after another learner surfed right over my head, lucky I ducked in time or would have lost my head. I decided at that point to leave the water as I did not feel that we were being safely supervised. Next time I would book a private with another company and with a female, I later saw an African American or possibly Brazilian girl from another school instructing some nervous Japanese girls and she was doing an amazing job keeping them under her close supervision, she even got them standing up. I'll be looking for her. Forget these guys if you are want a safe experience.

Asked them where another outfit was we had reserved with, they said they didn't know where it was, (turned out they were neighbors by 150ft), and that we should just book with them...when we weren't interested they pointed us up the beach in the opposite direction of where the outfit we reserved with was located...the wild goose chase cost us 15 minutes in lesson time. Shady characters, I'm sure the character flaws will show in other areas...I'd recommend avoiding at any cost. I'll be sharing my experience with the HVCB and BBB.

Paid $50 for a great surf lesson for my girlfriend. The crew guide you well with their tips and instructions and will even help you get into waves at gentle Waikiki. I couldn't ask for a better lesson.

Easily located at the entrance to the beach off Kalia Road, these guys are friendly and knowledgable. Seen as they were cheaper than most for more time out there I signed up for surf lessons for the first time and had an instructor named Serge. Cool and laid back he took me through the basics and away we went. He made me feel fully confident and I got up first time. Managed to squeeze in quite a few runs and he even pushed back time a little as well. His enthusiastic attitude made the experience. Kaylenn was the photographer and got some awesome shots which are affordable as well. 5 Stars and I would highly recommend them to anyone! Adam

THE BEST $110 I EVER SPENT!!! My 19-yr-old daughter and I (age 55 old lady!) learned to surf! Up the first time, and several times afterwards! Kini is the BEST!! Put me on a paddle surf board so more stable: IT WORKED!! Ask for Kini!

Great rates and service! We stayed in Oahu for 10 days, and we were able to arrange to rent chairs and an umbrella for the whole time at a reasonable cost. We accidentally took our umbrella out at the North Shore, only for the winds to decimate the base. They did not charge us for the damage. Incredibly nice employees. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to borrow beach equipment while on vacation!

Excellent service, great equipment, even a little cart to tote our rented inflatable SUP’s to Ala Moana. The web site worked perfectly, the equipment was in good condition, the shop is neat and tidy. We had a wonderful day paddle boarding. Thank you!!

We rented a 2 chairs and umbrella for 5 days through their website. The price was super affordable and the service was very convenient! We were provided a cart and took our rental back to our hotel on the Waikiki beach front. It was about a 25-minute walk from the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel, but the being able to keep the chairs and umbrella in our room and use it as pleased made up for the decent walk. Andi gave us a call on our last day to make sure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back!

This is the best money that I've spent in Hawaii. I rented two chairs and an umbrella for a week and it was great. My previous trip I did not have any chairs or umbrella and it really made a difference this year enjoying the beaches. The pickup and drop off was super easy and flexible done via text. I will definitely use beach boy hale the next time I am in Hawaii. The chairs and umbrella were very high quality as well.

Ron was awesome. Went out of his way to accommodate our chair, umbrella and boogieboard rental. Good quality equipment and super easy pickup and return. I would definitely use this service again.
