We rented a double and single kayak from Hawaii Beach Time during our vacation. On the day of our rental, the kayaks did not arrive on time. They were approximately 45 minutes late. In spite of that, their employee (sorry, didn’t get a name) was very communicative by text. There was a bad traffic accident resulting in a late delivery. The employee offered (without us having to ask) to discount our rental. He followed through and was more generous with the refund that I expected. Although we were disappointed the kayaks were delivered late, Hawaii Beach Time did everything possible to make it right.

A huge shout out to Drew! He delivered our snorkel sets to our resort. Fantastic communication! All sets were in fantastic shape- I was surprised by the quality of gear we received for such a reasonable price. We enjoyed snorkeling at Shark’s Cove. Because we couldn’t get reservations to Hanauma Bay until the morning of our departure, Drew graciously accommodated us. Drew had an enormous amount of patience for me and for our situation. I can’t say enough good things about Drew and about this company. I will recommend them to anyone I know visiting Oahu, and I look forward to renting gear from them in the future. True Aloha spirit!

I’ve rented beach equipment from Hawaii Beach Time for the past 2 years and have had excellent experiences. They made the rental process so easy. The delivery/pick up at my hotel was super convenient, the chairs & umbrellas in great shape and the price was a good value. The team is super easy to work with & had great communication. We were in Waikiki for a week and rented beach chairs and umbrellas from Hawaii Beach Time for the entire time. It is a much better deal than renting from the hotel. Moreover we could take the chairs and umbrellas to other beaches any time we wanted. Love chairs and umbrellas, made by Tommy Bahamas, high quality, light weight, very functional with large pockets for personal stuff and insulated liner pockets for foods and cold drinks, also having straps for back carrying. We put beach towels and other stuff in the folded chairs and carried everything on our back, super convenient. The umbrellas have cork screws which bite into the sand much easier, but have plastic spikes which could break when the high wind flips them, a design weakness by manufacturer, but Hawaii Beach Time replaced them same day. They are on time, responsive and most communications are over text. Overall a positive experience and I would rent from them again.

Had a great experience with our beach chairs & umbrella rental. The chairs and umbrellas were good quality and at an affordable price. Andrew provided great communication/customer service and delivered on time. I will definitely be using Hawaii Beach Time again and recommend to others!

HORRIBLE communication. I've rented from them 2-3 times before and had a great experience so I understand the good reviews here but I'm incredibly offended by their lack of communication this time. I wanted so badly to support a small business during COVID but wow this was a level of unprofessionalism I have never experienced. My boyfriend and I have been trying to rent one board since Sunday and today it is Friday and we have STILL been unable to confirm our rental. I called Sunday and received a text in response to my call. They told me to text at this number for questions and reservations. I have been trying to set up my reservation ever since via text but the responses have been little to none. On Wednesday my boyfriend even e-mailed them, but it's been two days and still no response. Their main phone number just goes to voicemail, so then we tried to call the phone number we had been texting but someone answered saying "you have the wrong person", even though hours later they would respond to my text with the same number. We were really excited to stand up paddle board this week but now we won't be doing it anymore. I'm very disappointed. The communication was seriously the most unprofessional I've ever experienced. All I wanted was to rent one board. I don't know why they're not interested in doing so, or it's fine if they are not able to but they should have communicated that to me instead of leaving me on read on and off for the last 5 days.

Worked with Drew and was absolutely fantastic. I called a day before (not recommended) and was able to call/text back and forth (due to flights) to get what I needed. I rented 2 beach folding chairs and a umbrella. The chairs folded back and we're easy to carry on you back (backpack straps). Delivery and pickup were on time as promised. I will definitely use Hawaii Beach Time again on my next trip.

I rented last minute from them and they delivered them the same day. The price was great for a weeks rental and saves us loads of money. We rented 4 chairs, an umbrella and a cooler . The chairs were good quality Tommy Bahama brand as was the umbrella The cooler was larger then we thought so we had limited use but that was not the companies fault. The only think I felt they could of done better was rinsing the cooler, which had a good amount of sand in it. I would use them again if I return to Oahu without hesitation.

Tried over a few days to place an order with them. No storefront, they have a self storage listed as their address. They don't answer the phone. Their message when you call is to text them. If you get a response, they will take hours to follow up on messages. After 2 days of trying I just gave up. Try another company, I am pretty sure they are just a scam.

Rented chairs from them during a week long stay in Waikiki. I love that they came right to my hotel for drop off and pick up. Easy to work with, chairs were perfect for carrying to the beach.

Just finished our time at Ala Moana Beach Park and we were so impressed with Hawaii Beach Time that we had to write a review right away. The stand up paddle boards we rented were great and Drew provided wonderful customer service. The value that you get for your money is awesome, other vendors charge you to deliver to your preferred location. And the fact that we got to use the boards all day for a great price was awesome! This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Honolulu! Thanks Drew and the other Hawaii Beach Time staff!
