My husband works at the base there so I drive down there pretty frequently. It is a beautiful view of Honolulu, but there are some sketchy people at the beach, and if you walk far enough out, people are naked so heads up!

Sand Island has a lot of industrial businesses, but it also has a softball field, camping, two very nice beaches, lots of places to fish, etc. most of the time it is nice and quiet but once in a while a wave coming ashore might disturb your nap time.

Was a good beach take the kids Swimming, until a few people started to ier their dogs run around unleased,

The island was a great place for our forces to stay in this island is the reason why we won against yuktobania now it’s out of commission, at least for now

One of the hidden gems of surfing on the island.

I was at Sand Island for Matson. I have been to the beach as well. Sea glass is plentiful or you could put in you kayak at the canoe club and go fishing. Sand Island is diverse.

Sweet spot away from the "Grind" but oh so convenient. Beautiful Sunsets and views of Diamond Head. Nice little getaway spot..bring the entire family, pets included.. but so you know, the entire island has a high population of felines.. otherwise, no worries!
