Outdated!! Although clean & comfortable bed the room is a flashback to the late 60s early 70s. NOT the style we wwere expecting for the ridiculous price we paid per night. Also the resort fees are astronomical due to us travelling as a couple & NOT needing most of the facilities . NOT value for money!!!!!!!

Great location at the HHV. ABC store directly below. Service is always a hit here, never seen any of the hard workers without a smile on their face, or a willingness to help. Self parking is not even worth it, so if you have a car, Valet it. Valet? Expensive AF. No escaping it if you need a car. Tapa tower itself is aging, but still very clean and well kept. I think all the older towers are going to need a huge renovation soon. Would still, hands down, stay again.

Very bad value. For the very large price you pay, you get offered a stay in a very old building, with noisy AC, outdated furniture, small rooms, with very old carpets which feel dirty, and thin walls that make you hear the noises from four adjacent rooms (top, left, right, opposite) like they were there with you. In the morning, you feel trolleys from room upstairs. You hear people sneeze from the adjacent communicating room, which share a "permanently closed" door. Not worth $50, let alone the ~$400 you end up paying. With no brekfast, a large crowd, and no amenities. Avoid at all costs.

I had been travelling both domestic and international and this hotel is NOT what Hilton stands for. The room we was given was a partial view instead of full ocean view that I booked. I discussed this with rhe front desk and I was told I have to pay an additional $95 PER NIGHT to get and ocean view. Resort fee - $130 for two nights regardless if you use the amenities or not. Parking is NOT free. You have to pay an additional $65 per night if you self park and $75 per night for valet parking. Now to the most exciting part, the ROOM! Well, I have stayed in a lot of Hilton hotels travelling and this is by far the most outrageous, dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. The lights at our bathroom was flickering. Vents to the bathroom is nasty dirty I feel like it haven't been cleaned in ages. The bathroom itself smelled like mildew and piss. The room is VERY outdated. Everything was rusty. Carpets? Very dirty. I am allergic to mold and mildew and this place is mold and mildew heaven. My family was sick the first day we stayed here. Again, if you want a nice relaxing vacation where you will be greeted with a clean, comfortable room, this place is not for you. All it had is inconvenience. We paid $645 for two nights and wished we could have spent our money elsewhere. The pictures you see on the internet is misleading. This place is a tourist trap. DO NOT BE FOOLED!

The Tapa Tower (floors 20-35) within the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort The help and front end staff here are excellent. I feel the hotel should offer more amenities for the price. A breakfast option would make this a much better stay. There was no microwave in our room which meant no left overs to be warmed up. It is super close to the beach, the lagoon and centrally located within the resort. The Tapa Bar had some great singers at night. We upgrades to an ocean view room and it was a great upgrade as you can see.

One of 7 towers located at the Hawaiian Hilton Village, the Tapa Tower was very nice, room was sizable with a nice bathroom and refrigerator in the room for drinks etc. I would recommend for sure.

Recently renovated tower, but still an older building compared to the other towers. Found a roach crawling on the wall. Called housekeeping to report the sighting but was disappointed when told "they're all over the island... they're like our pets." The lady was dismissive and never addressed the problem. I doubt it was ever reported as I requested. Also, the bed linens smelled like mildew. I reported the issue during the same call, advising that I believe housekeeping left the linens wet too long before putting into the dryer. No apologies or concessions for either issue. On the brighter side, the room had amazing views of the ocean. ⛱️ 🌊

Part of the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Rooms are spacious and clean. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed in a recently renovated junior suite on the 25th floor. It was spacious and quite nice. The staff was friendly, and everything worked the way that it should. The couch even folds out so the room holds more than the advertised 5 people. My only real disappointments here were the ocean view being obstructed by the other towers and the lack of microwave in the suite. Ice machines on several floors were broken, and we had to make trips upstairs to find working machines. There's a window in the bathtub, although it doesn't open. That seemed odd, but it did provide some natural sunlight. It could have used a cleaning, though.

Awesome Luau and great entertainment. The food was good and different. Drinks are flowing and included.

Overall great location if you don't need to leave the resort. Cleaning service was really good and always had us supplied with necessities. Food options were varied and of course the beach is the best part.

Whether you'll like this place probably very much depends on what you're there for. I stayed at the Hilton Waikiki Village for a work conference, at the Mid-Pacific Conference Center and had a room in Tapa Tower. This was the hotel recommended by the conference organisation. The room was nice and clean and offered a partial view of the ocean from the balcony. There are also plenty of dining options and small stores around, which was very convenient. However, the place is like a holiday factory: crowded, impersonal and with a constant racket till late at night. If you're on a holiday with your family, you like everything in one place and want to be close to the beach, this place is probably great. For me, as a business traveller, it was all just a bit much.

Had a nice stay there. The staff did a wonderful job every day in maintaining our room for comfort. The room was cleaned every day and always left plenty of extra towels. Had a lovely view of the ocean and Diamond head.

Checked in yesterday and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement!!! We had booked a room for our family of five in the supposed “newly renovated” Tapas tower. We were told the Tapas Family Rooms were newly remodeled… what a lie! The hotel may be in the very slow process of renovating but these rooms are NOT remodeled and renovated! They are old and filthy! This is by far the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever been in! Room 1 had chip crumbs on the sitting chair as well as the floor, it clearly wasn’t vacuumed. The walls were filthy, smudges all over the furniture, it was ridiculous. My husband went down to the front desk and they told him they’d move us to a better and nicer room. Well, we get to the second room and there are multiple hairs all over the two bathroom counters, hair on the toilet, another dirty floor (tile and carpet), a crack in the corner on the entryway door and trim. Uneven floors. And top it off the view sucks looking at a torn down bldg! I called the front desk yet again and they offered to try another room or have house cleaning come up. How many times will we have to move with 3 children to get a clean and acceptable room? How about move us to a different building that’s actually renovated and clean. Even after house cleaning came it’s still dirty, this is not ok! We’re here for a week and I already want to leave and it’s only day one. When we got back from a swim and entered the room the lights didn’t turn on when flipping the switch. I had to search for the lamps in the dark. This is absolutely absurd!!! I’d think twice about coming here, and stay far away from the Tapas tower! I’ve been a fan of Hilton and have stayed at many… not anymore and certainly not here! Don’t waste your money!!!

Relatively over-priced. You'd expect to get good value for the price tag but that not the case. Right above my room there was some construction ongoing for a whole day. (The front desk did agree to change the room) No complimentary breakfast, no complimentary drinking water, no late checkout (it will cost you about 150 dollars without tax)

We stayed on the 35th floor! Endless views and room was spotless! All staff were very helpful, hotels prices pretty steep, just plan accordingly.

At the heart of Waikiki. Part of a historic hotel complex with a few pools, oceanfront views and a great beach. Many shopping and food options available within a 5-minute walk.

Very outdated. Terribly hard beds. Chair ridiculously stained. No microwave. Had to get new sheets—they smelled sour. Hair in tub (great water pressure though!) Love Hawaii. Here due to Hilton timeshare presentation. 2nd time here. Resort itself is nice. Will not ever stay at Tapa again. #TappedOutAtTapa

We were on the 22nd floor in a newly renovated suite. The room was clean with a spacious layout. The ice machine was easy to find and the water quality felt good on my skin. From our room we had a view of the ocean

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!!! The furniture looks like it is still in the 90’s, and the bed are so thin you can hear it squeaking every time you make the slightest movement! It feels like you’re staying in a motel in the middle of nowhere for 100x the price! There are so many better hotels in Waikiki for half of the price!!.

How can you be unhappy at a place like this. Good safe place for kids with lots of options for food and drink and relaxation. I would give this a 5 star but with a place like this the lines for things and the personal touch is lost. Nothing bad to write about at all. We had a good time and I would come back.

Nice place, full of fees. Good location for those that like to shop and have the ocean close. But if you like the country done stay in Honolulu.

This Tower is so old. It looks like a very cheap looking motel 6. It so dated. Just throw this whole tower away! Rooms are really ugly with stained carpet. Bathroom smell bad like mildew and urine. Service is just as bad.

Okay, 1st off the room service we had was amazing! They came in every day to clean the room. I will say there seems to be some inconsistencies though. We had three rooms two on the 33rd floor and one on the 16th. The rooms on the 33rd floor got great service and updated decor, plus a great view. The one on the 16th had a slightly dated look and room service was not every day. So it seems like the more you pay here the more you get, like most of these resort hotels. However, there seemed to be a larger difference here. Lower rooms got less of a beach view, older furniture, less service and were closer to the loud music playing pretty much every night at the outdoor bar. The elevator situation could get annoying too. One set went up to the top 35th or something floor and went down to 19th or the lobby. The other only went up to about 19 and went down to all the others. When it gets busy, you can be stopping 20 times since there seem to be the only elevators for this tower. The overall location was nice, the Hilton Hawaiian Village is beautiful and very walkable. It's very close to the beach and has pools as well. It's a nice place to stay, it's just the best location for rooms is the top floors which cost way more.

It was great having everything you needed in one place - excursions, ABC stores, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, access to the other hotels in the resort - all in walking distance. Super close to plenty of other things to do. If you plan on doing things nearby, I recommend not renting a car, but walking/taxi everywhere bc parking is difficult to find and expensive. PS. The submarine tour is right off of the resort and was an awesome experience!

The Tapa tower is great. Centrally located in the Hawiian village it is an excellent location for getting to all activities quickly. I only wish the tower had its own gym. There is a nice gym on the premises but just not convenient. Overall great place to stay.

Room was great. A little old and a remodel on the Tapa Tower is needed Called 3 times to get ice machine plugged in. House keeping was fantastic. I would come back for sure! The view from our room and the fire works.

Well if you like the air conditioning only working 60% of the time, broken door hardware, refrigerators that don't work this is your place. Hard beds the worst pillows I've ever used. First time to Hawaii and I can promise if I come back I'll never stay here again. Pretty pathetic when the hotels I get from work are better than the ones that cost three times as much on the beach in Hawaii. Pretty pathetic if you ask me

Too many people, not enough staff to handle it. Long waits for food 1+ hour waits for fast food. No restaurant reservations available. The room is clean, but has seen far better days. The room looks like 2004 and does not match the prices that this property demands.great location, but be prepared for loud crowds.
