Beautiful views! However, there are hundreds of ignorant dog owners that trespass and bring their dogs into the park. My family and I tried to use the park on a few occasions, however, the smell and the dog feces made it impossible for us to enjoy it. The facilities are in a horrible state of neglect; most filthy, smelly and unattended restrooms! It is very apparent that no one is in charge of this park and that incompetence is King here! Perhaps, for the ignorant, dogs are more important than kids! It is such a shame that the homeless problem is being addressed so much more vigorously in HI, while the dogs and the cats are being treated way better than most humans. The way that we neglect such a priceless location and the way that we ignore its true potential generously reveals about our "quality" as humans. Thus, accordingly, perhaps dogs do deserve to be treated way better than our kids! Just remember that upon our very own kids' shoulders, our future decisions and planing will be placed. Is this the example we want to give them?

Nice view of the city and bay from here. Public restrooms available, though not the cleanest. Lots of chickens and other birds all around.

Gorgeous view of Waikiki with basketball and tennis courts. High fences help keep the balls in play. Park sits at the summit of Wilhelmina Rise. Limited parking of about 4 stalls with one reserved for handicapped.

Nice big park, and not crowded since it's tucked away in the neighborhood. Great views of Diamond Head and Waikiki too.

Beautiful view of honolulu and the surrounding area. Very high up and dog friendly. The road to get there may be troubling for those who drive manual or aren't great at driving uphill. Roads are very steep.

No parking. This is a neighborhood park. Great views. Tennis courts.

It's a beautiful park if you go out of your way to get there. But it can be hit and miss with some people that think that the basketball and tennis courts are for riding their electric motorcycles and skateboards, or think it's a good place to let dogs run free. Read the rules, they're posted at every public park.

My wife and happened to be in the area and decided to drive up the mountain in search of a community or neighborhood park. We happened to find this one, and we're jealous of this park. It doesn't have ample parking, but it definitely does have a lot of charm and space to play. We took our son to the playground/jungle gym and he had a blast. The slides are actually quite clean and he had no problem climbing his way up and down the slide (he's almost 2 years old). The basketball courts are nice and enclosed with a beautiful view the city down below. Also surprising was how clean the bathrooms were, I don't like using public bathrooms all to often - because they stink and always lack paper towels to dry your hands. This one was very well kept and had paper towels. We were super lucky to have the park to ourselves for about 1.5 hours before another family stopped by. This park is perfect for family picnics, had about 2 picnic tables and two benches for sitting. We definitely will come back to play here, if we find ourselves in that part of town again.
