Yum!! Best mocha and caramel frappe Ive had in Hawaii. Didnt skimp on the sauces or whipped cream. The gentleman that took my order and made the drinks was so kind and helpful. I would highly recommend the coffee here. Not sure what the parking situation is because my friend dropped me off and waited in the car for me.

Had Kona freeze. I don't like my drinks too sweet so Fred suggested that I get only one push of syrup and it was indeed good. Fred was very friendly and attentive. I'd go back there again for sure.

Let me preface this review by saying that I come here pretty often because I like their coffee. It tastes fresh with a good balance of bitter and smooth, with a nice roasted flavor overlay. The employees here are pretty friendly and they usually take my order pretty promptly, with some delay depending on how busy they are. I also tried the matcha latte once, but that one was just so-so. The real problem is perhaps too much aloha spirit, or too little, depending on how you view the issue: On my most recent visit, there were a few people waiting for their drinks on the side, but I was the only person in line. There were two people working. One of them was pretty busy making drinks, but the other one was talking with a few customers who had already ordered. He looked over at me so he knew I was there, but then went back to talking with these customers. No big deal, right? Wrong. I waited 6-7 minutes for him to finish his conversation so that I could order. Conservatively 6-7 minutes. He could've taken my order, and helped his friend finish making all of the drinks with time to spare in that 6-7 minutes, but he just kept talking story. Left a slightly more bitter taste in my mouth than usual. A few other things that bothered me this particular visit include that the diligent worker was wearing a mask, but the chatty one had no mask to be seen. He was the one taking orders too. They try to work as quickly as possible (when they're actually preparing drinks), but it gave me some pause as well when I saw them picking up cups and grasping them by two fingers, one inside the cup and one outside. Doesn't seem very hygienic. Finally, their new straws are terrible (last time I came, they were different). They look like candy canes and are essentially 2 strips of paper raveled together. My straw unraveled after about 2 minutes. I have no problems with paper straws at other businesses, so the quality of these straws makes me think that it's less about being eco-friendly and more about cost-cutting. Overall, I think I'll have to take a break from this place and get my fix from somewhere else for a while.

Great authentic coffee shop for purists. The owner, Fred, is a true coffee aficionado. If you love fresh-roasted coffee, made to order, to your roasting preference, then this is for you. If you want over-roasted, burnt charcoal-like coffee, or surgery "unicorn flavored" junk, head to Starbucks. The shop has a unique, made-in-Japan air roaster, one of only two in the entire US. It was a joy to discover the shop, and even more of a joy to "talk coffee" with Fred. Also, there is plenty of parking outside the cannery, and a large, peaceful food court in which the coffee shop is located. Support your local businesses, and stop sending your money to corporate mainland behemoths like Starbucks.

Nice owner who was helpful in giving me a quote for whole bean purchase, and boy is there a huge variety in the beans. Neat-looking Japanese coffee equipment, of course the blended beverage rock too. Prices are fair and reasonable.

Best coffee place in honolulu. Frank here is a true coffee connoisseur and will help you find the coffee you want to drink. He has a selection of fresh roasted beans to use and various methods including drip and siphon. He claims that the coffee is not bitter, and he is right! I could drink this stuff black, although I prefer it with cream and sugar.

Just another level of coffee!! Simply the best and won’t be able to find this level of finesse anywhere else. The owner is very passionate about coffee and beans. He also explained how Japanese Syphon coffee works, which was very kind of him (we got Japanese Syphon and Mocha Kona Freeze and both were awesome). Will fly here from NJ for this coffee alone.

I had some issue finding this place. It's located in the building across from Regal Cinemas. It looks like an office building, but it's there. Park in the Regal Cinemas structure and walk across. Wonderful little cafe. I really hope the owner gets the recognition he deserves. Great service. If you want to support local business, please come here and you won't be disappointed. There's coffee beans roasted based on how you want it, and it's an interesting experience watching the air roaster do its thing.

Real knowledgeable about coffee. Went with the siphon coffee since its such a rare process to find. Roast their own coffee in small batches. Can't find anyone else that makes coffee like them.

My favorite coffee spot in all of Oahu. Upon entering the Dole Cannery, I am instantly greeted with the aromatics of their freshly roast coffee and smiling faces of the friendly staff. I recommend getting some coffee beans (Maui Peaberry is my fave). Thanks Fred!

The second best barista on Oahu. Great coffee made fresh. Not busy at all. The quality of this coffee makes Starbucks taste like a kids lemonade stand by comparison.

Such a great spot! Excellent espresso and a great place to buy freshly roasted coffee. Choose your beans on their website and they will roast them to your liking, so you can pick them up there fresh. 😍

Overall, this place is a good spot. I ordered a mocha freeze and an iced espresso with a splash of whole milk. The mocha freeze was good, but was lacking “body” and was on the thinner side to the drink. The espresso was Kona Peaberry and that was delightful to sip on. It really packs a punch and the flavors were bright and fruity. Neil and Sung were of great service and provided the good recommendations. The atmosphere is chill and inviting. You walk up and then wait for your drink. The location is inside the Dole building to the right.

This whole mall has been closed for a while and it is about to be demolished, judging from all the pigeon droppings at the entrance. What a shame! The business really should update its address.

Fred brews the best cup of coffee you will ever have, especially if you like a mellow, not burnt cup. He is an artist with a roaster, and uses a steam siphon method to coax out all the flavor with no bitterness at all. Yes, he may take awhile to get yours done. Deal with it. It is well worth the wait.

I am completely blown away how delicious my Kona Freeze coffee was. I am currently here on vacation and often travel around the world and love trying local random coffee spots like this. Well, I struck gold as this place made the best drink of this category I have ever enjoyed (lightly sweet with a great coffee taste). If you are on vacation or a wonderful local, please give it a try!

While I was being turned away for entering the supermarket during closing hour (6 pm), Fred the coffee shop owner caught me right before exiting and generously offered me a free cup of coffee. I highly recommend checking this place out. Not only for reasons that the coffee is super smooth or that the coffee beans can be roasted-to-order, but also because you’ll have a fun time getting to know Fred. He is kind, generous, teeming with engaging stories, and passionate about his uniquely prepared coffee. We ended up buying a bag of Ku’a coffee beans and not regretting visiting the supermarket late. Thanks Fred!

Richest tasting coffee I’ve ever had. They literally have a chemistry set that somehow gets the most taste out of every bean. I don’t understand how it works, but you have to try it.

Awesome place to get your caffeine fix. This is inside a flea market. I know the coffee is pretty much same across but the service is not the same. Barista patiently explained the process of roasting and getting the right flavor out of that addictive silly bean. The cold brew looks dangerously potent, I’ll try it next time. They offer only takeout., but a must place to visit.
