Kai Coffee possesses the tastiest latte in Waikiki. Just go for the Kai Latte which has macadamia nut milk mixed in perfectly. The location is at the center of foot traffic with fabulous views and has a wooden upscale "shack" feel. And yes, the line tends to build up quickly. But the Kai Latte is seriously one of the best. Do not miss!

Super cute coffee shop right across the street from Kuhio Beach park. The location and ambiance alone drew me in. I enjoy the open air and the chill vibe this place provides. I asked the barista what their most popular drink was and he said their signature drink was the Kai Latte; it was pretty good but just a tad too sweet for my palate. It does taste better iced than hot, imho. The chocolate croissant was ok, but the Chai Latte, now that was stellar! It was soooo good (I wished I ordered a larger size). The staff is super chill at Kai Coffee. They are very knowledgeable about coffee and I appreciate that they always ask my preferred milk (whole, 2% milk, oat, etc.) prior to putting in the order. Overall, I think Kai is a great place to get your Cuppa-joe or Chai Latte caffeine fix and love the fact that it's by the beach with a great view.

Best coffee! Kai Coffee is amazing and both locations were great. Very friendly staff and nice seating to enjoy the beach view. I love that they offer 12oz iced drinks with 2 shots which can be hard to find at other nearby coffee establishments.

A well placed non-Starbucks coffee shop. They roast their coffee in the back of the shop. The breakfast options taste great. The barista was friendly and decorated the coffee with latte art. It's a very pretty shop with natural woods everywhere.

Friendly staff, great coffee! Busy and often has a line but worth it. Great soy lattes and breakfast items.

This coffee is simply the best. I’m addicted to the Kai Macadamia Latte. I wish had one of these stores back home.

Open early coffee shop. Got a kai latte and iced version, a bit sweet with the Mac nut. The açaí bowl (more like cup, but convenient for to go as it fits into a to-go tray with coffee) was good, but not freshly made on the spot so it’s a little iced over and I found the honey to be a little too overpowering. Decent but not my top açaí bowl in Waikiki.

Worth the wait! The coffee here was outstanding (beans weren’t burnt) & the milk was steamed perfectly! The crepe was also super tasty :) The staff, despite being insanely busy, were so welcoming and friendly! Absolutely loved this place

I walked down to Kai Coffee from the Hayatt because the shop at my hotel had a line out the door and it didn't look inspiring. So I enjoyed the 2 blocks strolling past the shops and the people, and was greeted by a coffee shop with a line out the door. Oh well, I guess I have to wait for my coffee today. The (black eagle?) espresso machine is GORGEOUS. They use it as a workhorse and they keep it in tip top shape. I spoke with the barista about it for a minute, and they knew a lot about it. Smart folks! The latte they made for me was INCREDIBLE! I was not ready for how good it was. Smooth, creamy, but not too bitter. A well balanced cup. I'll return tomorrow to find out what beans they use and to enjoy another cup!

Absolutely love this coffee shop! It is my favorite in Honolulu. The coffee is amazing and the service is great as well. Try their egg sandwich with garlic aioli sauce it’s amazing!

The Acai bowl was so delicious and refreshing! Not very sweet and just good. The turnover had crunchy crust with eggs and bacon inside. The Kai latte had some slight macadamia nut flavor and was kind of sweet.

I got the medium cappuccino and a sweet crepe with Nutella, strawberry and bananas. It was good but the crepe was $13 and they give it to you in a box (see picture ), that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars because it’s expensive in my opinion. Also no restrooms… However the location is great and the seating area is nice. Worth a try

Kai latte was really good! My mom loved their home coffee though she didn’t like the other coffees she had In Hawaii. The Kai sandwich was tasty too. The cashier was nice :)

I loved the Acai bowl here. and the coffee is great also. It did lose one star for the long wait times.

Really great coffee and yummy açaí bowl. Expensive but really great customer service! I forgot to order something and remembered after I picked up my order and they let me add to it without waiting in the long line all over again. Really stood out in customer service for that. Very kind staff! Went back again.

Delicious coffee and friendly staff. Always busy in the morning with a long line and doesn’t seem the like the staff is motivated to make the line move any faster. It’s also annoying that they charge $1 for non-dairy milk, especially in a cortado that uses about 1.5 oz of milk.

Their iced frappés are incredible. Have been addicted to them all vacation!! This coffee is also served outside, across the street, at a super cute little location on the beach where we have been going in the early morning for our lattes. Highly recommend!

The best coffee in Hawaii! We saw 2 of Kai cafes were very busy on our walk every morning. Always long queue. So thought to give it a try and glad we did. From then on we stopped at Kai Coffee on the beach side for coffee every morning while in Waikiki. They know what really coffee is all about. Oat latte was perfect. It was creamy and had the right amount of sweetness. Delicious! I vouch for Kai Coffee anytime. They also have life music on Saturday and this place is very popular with beach goers because it’s right on the beach.

This is our second visit to the island and we love walking around Waikiki. We were heading to another place to have breakfast on kuhio avenue but this cafe caught our attention and we immediately changed our minds. You had to know this place. The interior has mirrors combined with wood, a giant fan on the ceiling. We sat at a huge table, my husband loves kona, he ordered a mocha with a ham cheese sandwich on focaccia bread, I drink little coffee but I love matcha green tea, I ordered a large one and a bowl of acai. There are also tables on the terrace. A stylish place that we will return to more times on our vacation. Update: We come back today and I'm a little disappoint. We bring the computer for work online and we discover they don't have wifi =( and I need to use the bath room and they don't have that also. Such nice place don't offer two important services. It was 5, but now my review go down to 3 stars.

Super cute place, everything made fresh. friendly staff. I ordered a vege wrap , meat wrap. acai bowl sans granola, and two small frappes, and a coffee. food was good, nice vibe. a little pricey but its oahu total was $58.

Small, upscale looking coffee shop. A few tables inside & out. Long lines (for good reason). Roasting room where they roast all their own beans. 1st day: Flat white hot coffee with vanilla & chocolate croissant. Chocolate croissant was heated & divine. Coffee was smooth, w/o bitterness & perfect hot. Staff was friendly & busy. 2nd day: meat wrap, acai bowl, iced latte with coconut milk. All were good. FreeSurf magazines on table. Great cafe..

Great coffee shop to stop into if you're staying in Waikik! The interior is gorgeous. The Kai Latte is delicious, you can get it hot or iced. For iced lattes, you could only get small or large, no medium which was strange to me. There's also no bathroom inside.

The coffee is great, right down the middle but the Crepe’s? Fabulous and you can watch the guy make them. 👍 to the Crepe guy. Put this place in your schedule, main drag on the beach Waikiki.

We got some coffee and light breakfast before heading to the Diamond head. If you're looking for good coffee then I would recommend here! I tried kai latte but my goodness it was way too sweet for me xD hub's normal latte was fine. The breakfast wrap though.. I don't know if it's a Hawaiian way of eggs but I don't like it. The scrambled eggs inside the wrap was thick and dense and dry- just can't get used to the texture! But coffee, good.

Don’t get me wrong, the taste of the food was really good, and the blt was great! But I got an açaí bowl and there was like nothing in it. I hate paying for a bowl half full of air.

We love Kai Coffee and always went to the cafe located near us in the Hyatt Regency. We were walking by and wanted a coffee. This cafe is just as good. The staff are friendly. The coffee and food comes out quickly even when it gets really busy. Great food and excellent coffee.
