Decided
to
try
this
restaurant
out
for
father's
day
and
I
was
pleasantly
surprised
at
the
offerings
and
service.
The
place
is
a
bit
dim,
almost
reminds
me
of
Hy's
steakhouse
in
terms
of
lighting
so
it
was
a
bit
hard
for
my
dad
to
see
(He
doesn't
have
the
greatest
eyesight).
Luckily
they
had
these
amazing
light-up
menus
which
was
a
delight
when
I
opened
them
up,
first
time
I've
seen
something
like
that.
The
menu
is
definitely
pricey
for
dinner,
so
expect
to
spend
around
$100
a
head
for
a
full
course
meal.
Our
waitress
(Marilyn
if
I
remember
correctly)
Was
extremely
polite
and
friendly.
That
alone
made
the
experience
so
much
better.
Now
onto
the
food,
we
started
with
the
TAB
(Thick
a**
bacon,
fun
play
on
words)
Foie
gras,
wagyu
fat
fried
rice,
tomato
bisque,
and
the
seafood
tower.
The
soup
was
creamy,
fresh
and
delicious.
The
TAB
was
pretty
good,
just
a
thick
smoked
pork
belly
with
an
oddly
addicting
barbecue
sauce.
The
Foie
gras
was
fatty
and
cooked
perfectly,
although
abit
on
the
small
side,
and
the
crostini
was
perfectly
thin,
buttery
and
crispy.
The
"Wagyu
fat
fried
rice"
was
OK,
abit
soggy
but
definitely
felt
the
heaviness
of
the
wagyu
fat.
The
seafood
tower
was
the
somewhat
disappointing
dish
of
the
night.
The
oysters
and
ceviche
w/wonton
chips
were
fresh
and
tasty.
The
Ahi
poke
did
not
seem
fresh,
you
know
how
you
get
the
pre-frozen
poke
from
foodland
etc.?
It
had
about
the
same
texture
along
with
the
color.
The
shrimp
and
lobster
were,
in
my
book,
over
cooked
and
tasteless.
They
were
both
rubbery,
and
the
lobster
was
extremely
disappointing.
The
lobster
had
an
odd
taste,
not
the
usual
"Fresh,
buttery,
juicy
and
flavorful"
taste
you
get
when
cooked
properly.
The
presentation
was
great
though,
and
they
cut
it
very
nicely
to
have
it
eaten
easily.
It
did
seem
though
like
every
other
table
had
one,
so
they
were
possibly
pressed
for
time
or
something.
As
for
the
Entree's
I
got
the
porterhouse
and
my
brother
got
the
ribeye.
We
also
got
a
side
of
broccolini,
and
my
dad
ordered
the
mushroom
medley
that
sadly
didn't
get
punched
in
to
the
kitchen
but
I
won't
dock
them
for
that.
The
Manager
on
duty
and
waitress
were
both
very
apologetic
about
it,
we
really
didn't
mind
because
that
would've
been
too
much
food
so
we
all
sort
of
laughed
it
off.
Both
steaks
were
cooked
perfectly,
and
the
aged
beef
was
just
downright
amazing.
They
weren't
extremely
seasoned,
they
really
let
the
aged
beef
be
the
star
of
the
show.
I
can't
stress
how
perfect
the
steaks
were,
I
was
just
sad
that
I
filled
myself
on
apps
that
I
could
only
take
down
1/3rd
of
my
porterhouse.
For
dessert
we
went
for
the
beignet's
and
espresso
creme
brulee.
The
manager
personally
delivered
the
beignet's
and
let
us
know
it
was
on
the
house
for
the
mushroom
medley
mistake,
which
was
an
extremely
kind
gesture.
The
beignet's
were
fluffy
and
delicious,
and
the
ice
cream
of
course
was
creamy
and
a
nice
compliment
to
them.
The
creme
brulee
slightly
disappointed
due
to
the
slight
curdling
of
the
custard,
so
it
had
kind
of
a
rough
texture
but
the
flavor
was
good.
Overall
the
service
is
fantastic
and
the
ambience
is
nice
and
quaint.
I
can't
stress
how
much
I
loved
the
attentiveness
of
the
staff.
My
only
complaint
overall
was
the
seafood,
I
was
just
expecting
a
bit
more
quality
and
freshness.
Will
definitely
try
this
place
again
though!
