Super Hawaiian with some American and Asian influenced food. Must try if you want to have authentic local food. Would be great to cater party or event. Great value for high quality and simple dishes.

This is one the defining Hawaiian cuisine stops in the city. If you're down for tasting local dishes but maybe want some American fare too, Kuhio is THE option. They're very friendly, polite, and made to order. The dishes were fantastic, from saimin and loco moco, to chicken and cheesecake. Deserts are different each day. Absolutely worth the stop. Parking is an issue, however. Enter off of the main road just past the light post, drive all the way back, there's room to turn around, and just a few waiting stalls.

A cute restaurant located at the corner of St Louis Hgts and Waialae Ave. Parking is limited but there's a paid parking area across the street next to City Mill. Kuhio Grille is a branch of the Kuhio Grille Hilo, the home of the 1lbs lau lau . We had the Hawaiian plate which came with lau lau and I loved it because it wasn't salty and it was huge. The poi was just right and very smooth, love the lomi salmon with chunks of salmon (it's not like other places where you have to hunt for the salmon) , pickled onions which my hobby likes (sorry, I'm not an onion fan) , and haupia. I forgot to take a photo of our food but did take my friend's order. It's a great place to go for one Hawaiian food and friendly service!

This is one of their golden combo, ribeye steak AND Keto custard bread pudding. Steak is tender, juicy, and very tasty. It is 8oz, some may need one more dish(?). So let the desert fill the space. Carb watchers can choose other sides rather than rice and mac potato salad (but their mac potato salad is also yummy!). Food is really good with very nice & friendly staff. This is the hidden gem in Kaimuki!

I'm glad they opened this location on Oahu since I no longer travel for work and missed this place. One of many favorites!

I'm so sorry, did not remember to take photos because we were STARVING. Ordered online and food was ready for pick up in 10 min! We had fried saimin(tasty) with katsu (standard) plate, loco moco(hamb was good but gravy was very tasty) mac choco pie, and haupia cake. Everything was really good, we will come back again to try the specials next time!

Great little Hawaiian restaurant in a small strip mall across the street from the City Mill in Kaimuki. They only have about four or five tables, but they do a lot of takeout. We shared the crispy ginger chicken with fried rice and the yakitori chicken. Food was awesome and portions very generous. Check out their Facebook or Instagram page for their daily dessert specials.

Learning lesson. Go to Instagram to follow their specials and desserts. Saw it. Ate and then ordered dessert, but sold out. Lol All good. We didn’t even finish our ginger chicken 🤪🤣 You KNOW you hit the right spot when there’s constant orders being picked up! 😉 We’ll be back… AND we’ll check out Instagram before going. Definite recommend.

Just as good as the one in Hilo. Good local food and service. The Laulau was so moist and juicy. Definitely a must try if you’re in Honolulu. A little hole in the wall. Look for Von’s and they are on the other end of that building.

The best breakfast place ever! Super nice staff! Everything was perfect! We ate Belgian waffles, veggie omelet and pork cutlet, going back tomorrow 😋

Sat down for a meal in the smallish dining area. Clean & tables well spread out so I felt very comfortable dining in, especially in these (COVID) times. Down Home style cooking with fantastic service. Order was taken promptly, it came out fast and my water glass was never empty (something I personally judge service on). Food is "delish" and portions are more than generous. I had the fried rice & crispy ginger chicken special with a side of potato Mac salad. I loved everything but could barely finish half of my meal. Go only if you're hungry or be prepared to ask for a doggie bag for the other half of your meal!

The food was soo ono!!... I had the kanak attack plate, the kalua pig was my favorite, the flavor was spot on to how I like umm... The LauLau was fresh and has plenty of meat in it... Very much worth the $21.00, would definitely come back for more ono food!
