So clean & modern. This hotel was just perfect, as it is just a short walk to Waikiki Beach (2-3 blocks) and we could borrow beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and even toy sets from the front desk. This was super convenient. The breakfast was good, and included fresh fruits as well as eggs/ham/sausages in a small buffet style. The room with beach view is quite large and the huge shower was so nice to return to after a day of swimming. Would return for the excellent service, rooms, and amenities.

A great stay in Waikiki! Excellent location & staff was so friendly. Clean room and quiet. My wife and I stayed for a week and weโ€™re so impressed by how courteous the staff and valet were. Free beach umbrellas and chairs to take to the beach, which is a very short walk away. We had a nice view of the ocean from our room, which was small but very clean and comfortable. Great location in Waikiki near restaurants & shops. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a great experience here. We just booked a queen size, regular room- nothing too fancy, that's exactly what we got as we weren't in our room much and you can't beat the price. The staff was so nice, we were sent some chocolate covered macadamia nuts from the hotel for our anniversary. The cleaning staff was really nice too, they do a great job. The hotel lobby is such a vibe, many places to sit, complimentary coffee and pineapple juice! The location of this hotel was perfect! Everything we wanted to do was within waking distance.

The rooms are small, but the concierge service is top notch. They go above and beyond and are always friendly. 1 block away from the beach. Try a pass for the sister hotel with a pool and spa club. The Vive loans you beach gear--towels, beach mats, umbrellas, etc. Free deluxe continental breakfast is super convenient, but I wish they had more vegan options.

This is a great place to stay. We stayed for 2 weeks and the entire time was great. We had complimentary breakfast daily and service was amazing. We called for ice and scheduled housekeeping which was both fast and efficient. Then we could use all the beach gear for free. Finally, remember to sign up for rewards, because you get discounts for parking and free snacks.

The service at this hotel is exceptional. All the staff including valet, front desk and housekeeping were amazing and very professional. The location is great, located steps away from Waikiki beach. Breakfast was sufficient with boiled eggs, croissants/pastries/fresh fruit. Housekeeping came everyday without having to ask. They even helped me with becoming a rewards member so I could save some money on parking and room. Highly highly recommend. Mahalo for such a great stay!

Overall I had a great time staying at the hotel. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing service all around. Valet parking was excellent, valet staff were all amazing. Amenities are great too, free breakfast, teas, coffee, beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc. Would absolutely recommend a stay here for those looking for a fair priced hotel in Waikiki. Would definitely stay again.

Rooms are small and basic, no extra seating. Everything was clean and they offer items you might forget to bring. The staff was kind and helpful with beach accessories and ordering ice and room cleaning. Breakfast is basic. Fruit, bread, and a different meat each day. I am strictly gluten free due to allergy and would have appreciated other options like yogurt or corn cereals. The eggs were not tasty. The location truly is a 5 min walk to the beach and near the International Marketplace. Tons of food options, not just Hawaiian fare. The beaches are crowded, but we always found a spot. ABC stores are everywhere and we found snacks, all kinds of alcohol, and little souvenirs that were fairly priced. Be ready to be out of the hotel or lounge in the common area downstairs.

Amazing location, 3 minute walk to the water, less than 10 from shopping, food absolutely everywhere. Staff was kind, hospitable, and prompt with their service. Complimentary breakfast changes slightly each day. Lobby has games, books, and comfy seating to hang out in. Rooms were on the tiny side but... you're 3 minutes from the beach, you don't need to be in your room that much. The best part was the beach accessories you can get from the front desk. Umbrellas, towels, boogie boards can all be acquired from the front desk on your way out, and can easily be discarded in the front bins on your way back. Very convenient. Would definitely stay at VIVE a second time, they know what they're doing!

This hotel is in great location! The beach is just a 5 minute walk and there are so many shops and restaurants nearby. The room is small everything was very clean and modern. The staff is very friendly and have been great at answering any questions. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a great deal in Waikiki.

Nice small botique hotel in Waikiki, had a pleasant stay. The rooms were really small. That being said, free breakfast was included in the stay. Breakfast included fruits, croissant, egg, bacon, juice, tea and coffee. Due to CoVid, breakfast was packed and kept in boxes. Also, you had to request for housekeeping a day before. The staff was very friendly and the hotel let you borrow beach towels, beach mats, umbrellas, beach chairs. The hotel also includes valet parking for $30 a day. The location of the hotel is ideal, very close to Waikiki beach, various restaurants and the shopping strip in Waikiki.

Extremely well managed, well kept hotel 3 block walk to gorgeous Waikiki Beach. Crisp, clean linens on comfortable beds. Magnificent full breakfast buffet daily. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious food truck cuisine next door for quick lunch. We stayed 3 days and will be repeat guests.

Very nice and cozy hotel. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The hotel has only a few issues such as lack of seating during breakfast and a loud AC that needed a filter change. Other than that, our stay was enjoyable and the staff went over and above for us. Very impressed overall.

This was a great hotel for our first trip to Hawaii! The staff were friendly, the rooms and hotel were clean, and the free breakfast was delicious. They even sent up chocolate-covered macadamia nuts and a nice card when they found out we were on our honeymoon. Roger at the front desk made sure we had everything we needed and was very friendly. And the price was great for everything you got, free breakfast, free beach gear rental, and we had an ocean-view suite for less than other hotels in the area. Only a three minute walk to the beach and good food within walking distance. Overall, very satisfied with our stay and will definitely stay again!

Hotel is located in an excellent area and is minutes away from the beach and lots of good restaurants. The rooms are modern looking with lots of space, except for the washrooms, which are small and not ventilated. The a/c is also extremely loud. Even when it's off, it's some how still makes a lot of noise. Bring ear plugs! The front desk staff provide top tier services and are extremely accommodating to various requests. All the perks (Beach towels, mats, chairs) that come with the hotel is worth every penny. Not to mention the free filtered water, Flowater, no need to buy multiple bottles of water, just refill on the go! If you want to avoid the amenity fees, just book directly with the hotel. Highly recommend staying here.

We loved this hotel. The service was wonderful--Roger, Alicia, and Arnold were all so helpful and friendly. They gave us wonderful restaurant suggestions and booked a cab for us over the phone when we were running behind from a tour. The rooms were clean and comfy and the breakfast was delicious. And the location--perfect for walking around Waikiki. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed on a family vacation for 3 days. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially the valet drivers. Free breakfast and beach gear rentals are awesome. Location can't be beat. Room prices are VERY reasonable compared to adjacent properties. The rooms themselves are cozy and perfect for travelers on a budget who don't want to feel like they're being cheap. Will definitely be back in the future.

Great hotel with good amenities. Need to borrow beach equipment (chairs, towels, boogie board, mats, cooler)? They got you covered. Valet guys were all super nice. Everyone was ready to offer helpful suggestions. Location was a quick walk from the beach and moments from shopping or dining. Glad we found this place and would gladly come back.

A very lovely hotel. The building itself is a bit older but it's well-maintained and clean. A big plus for the location which is near the beach and the Waikiki shopping plaza. An extra plus for the service: you can borrow towels and other beach gear for the day. A very convenient offer.

If I could, I would give it at least 6/5. Absolutely great and pleasant accommodation at an unbeatable price in Waikiki. Amazing helpful staff, nice rooms, totally clean, and most importantly a fantastic rich breakfast included! We stayed in different rooms twice during the week due to island hopping, and each time we were lucky enough to get a room in the corner, so with two windows either facing the sea and the street, or facing the mountains and the street. Both views had something going for them. But what blew our minds was the complimentary service... all day coffee, tea, several fruit water options, and basically any beach equipment you can think of available for rent (free). Lots of "food trucks" and renowned local eateries nearby, waikiki market and international market place for shopping and eating. We mentioned at check-in that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff pleasantly delayed us with questions and introductions to the area, while radioing instructions to the cleaning lady to decorate our room nicely. If I ever have the opportunity to visit Honolulu again, I will definitely come here.

Rooms are on the cozy side but clean and comfortable, and the location can't be beat for the price. Less than two blocks from the beach, and there is a bus stop right outside the door with convenient routes for getting around Honolulu. They also have free beach equipment available for you to borrow - mats, chairs, umbrellas, even boogie boards. We took advantage of this every day and they never ran out. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as well.

I would give the service 6/5 stars if possible. The staff from the front desk workers to the maids were all incredibly nice and friendly. We felt very welcomed! The free breakfast is great. We also loved that you can check out beach equipment for free then just drop it off in bins later. The lobby was super clean and well kept, and the location of the hotel was only a couple blocks from the beach. Our only not positive part was that our bathroom didnโ€™t have a fan so we had to turn on the bedroom fan to circulate air. Other than that, we canโ€™t wait to stay here the next time we come to Hawaii!

Rooms are small but nice. Love the shampoo and conditioner even good on my curly 3c hair. Breakfast is decent not great but it's very close to the beach less than a 5 minute walk. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants.

Visited in May 2022. Great location and very affordable compared to other hotels in the area. Free beach equipment and towels available upon request. Water, coffee, and tea available in the lobby 24/7. We enjoyed the free continental breakfast, board games in the lobby, and the very short walking distance beach. Front desk, valet, and breakfast crew were all friendly! Such a cute place to stay with a lot of beautiful artwork too!

The absolute best hotel stay in Waikiki. Service was incredible, the kindest, most helpful people at the front desk. Great rooms, comfy beds, a 3 minute walk from the beach yet quiet enough to sleep away from the noise on main strip. Best of all, you have access to anything you might need for the beach from chairs, towels, umbrellas all included in your stay. Great stay all around, highly recommend!

This is our second time staying at this renovated hotel. We like the location of it being on the quieter side of Waikiki, away from the more touristy mainland chain restaurants. The breakfast that is included with your room is great as well, especially if you like fresh fruit. The amenities that come with your resort fee are also very useful, always had enough towel, mats, chairs, umbrellas for a day at the beach or a picnic. The only thing I wish this hotel offered was a discounted valet fee for guests or self park with a discounted rate.

This is the perfect hotel to stay in if you want a more boutique feel and want to avoid the chain hotel scene. The staff is friendly, love that you can rent beach umbrellas, chairs, towels etc from the front desk and house keeping upon request (due to Covid). The continental breakfast is a plus for those who want to grab and go and hit the beach early like we did. Bring a reusable water bottle because they have a fill station. We got the medium size room, Jr suite with ocean view and it was roomy with a couch, coffee table, tv, desk, queen bed, big walk in shower and walk in closet area. The most affordable rooms like cosmo queen are smaller but if you donโ€™t plan on being in your room a lot itโ€™s exactly what you need. We love the location of the hotel too, very walkable, close to shopping, coffee, beach and food.

Staying at Vive was such a great experience. Hands down they have some of the friendliest staff I ever met. You canโ€™t beat the free breakfast deal! It felt great not having to worry about where to get breakfast in the morning and just focusing on enjoying the dayโ€™s plan. The room was clean and neat. The only downside was that the room felt pretty small, but itโ€™s a budget hotel after all. Overall, Iโ€™d absolutely stay there again!

First time in Hawaii and stayed at the Vive hotel, lovely staff who are extremely friendly and helpful. Valet parking attendants are extremely professional and kind. Strongly recommend this hotel. Special shout out to front desk employee Roger, he was very kind, very professional and accommodating, he solved all our concerns during our stay. You guys have a solid team! Not to mention the location is at the heart of Waikiki! But again even if location is good, it wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for the amazing staff. Thank you guys for making our stay so special. Will definitely go back to you guys next year!

The valets were one of the best parts of our stay. They were friendly, professional and efficient. Big shout out to those guys for making the trip so comfortable. The location is great, rooms are small but comfortable and the contentential breakfast is OK. The only downside is you need to request housekeeping a day in advance.

Very cute hotel, modern looking room. Our room was not that big, but well setup. Considering the times service to all hotels are by request only and they are prompt. So service is really good, and the front desk was always very helpful.

Pros: Breakfast included in the room rate. Some warm items included despite COVID. Water, tea and coffee available all day Nice lobby Friendly staff Beach equipment readily available Close to restaurants and the beach It was our anniversary and they were kind enough to provide complimentary chocolates and cookies for us to celebrate with. Cons: Internet was fine with the phones but kept going off on the computer. The room was very small and tight. Only one person could fit in the bathroom at once. Mountain view was really view of apartments and very little mountain Air conditioner was loud Hallway carpets always seemed like they needed cleaning

  • 5/5 Kristel B. 2 years ago on Google
Room was clean and comfortable. Pros: breakfast included, walk to the beach, fridge in room, microwave/toaster oven/water dispenser in lobby, great service. Cons (minor): limited view, have to valet park, no ice machine that I could find (but can ask for ice).

Vive really is a great spot to stay, and literally is minutes walking to the beach. It's so close to lots of places to eat too, you don't need a car if you're planning to mainly spend time at the beach. There is also a bus stop right next to the hotel, and there is a shuttle you can schedule to take you to the airport. There is not a shuttle available to bring you to the hotel from the airport. The workers are all very nice and it was great that breakfast is included. I accidentally left a shirt in my room after checking out and I called the hotel. They located my shirt and are shipping it to me at home! I just had to pay the shipping fee, which was minimal via USPS. The only issue I had was that it was hard to request housekeeping to clean the room/replenish toiletries. There is a tablet in the room to do so, but they did not come when I scheduled it. An easy fix for this is to go downstairs to the desk to request services.

This place was very cute and charming. Very clean, the staff were very welcoming and always had a smile. Breakfast was very fresh. The fruit and coffee always hit the spot. It's walking distance to food, drinks and beach at each corner from our hotel.

This place was great. A short walk to Waikiki and we highly recommend. Great rooms and responsive service. Kind workers everywhere. The breakfast was great and saved us a lot of money. The Hawaiian coffee was also a great plus. They provided umbrellas, beach chairs, and beach towels which we were not expecting but was a Godsend. They are very helpful with recommendations of things to do and see in the area. They referred me to Moku Surf Shop for surfing lessons and it was an unforgettable experience. One down side is there are no balconies but this actually helped us explore more of Waikiki at night which was amazing. So in the end it worked out. Definitely have the aloha spirit here.
