I was there by ambulance after I told them I was a kaiser member. Well anyway I was there for kidney stones we all know how painful they are but because my insurance was with kaiser the only test they ran was a urine sample no cat scan no pain meds nothing to help my condition. I lay on a gurney in a hallway for five and a half hours waiting for transfer to kaiser suffering all the while and being in a lot of pain I did make a lot of noise moaning and groaning and one of the attendants made the remark why you acting like that it's not that sore. Needless to say what I wanted to say but I held my tongue. Problem is they wouldn't treat me and yet they wouldn't release me so I could have drove to kaiser say maybe five hours earlier. And to top it off they sent me a bill for over 1500 bucks for a gurney and a hallway. But it was worse when it was the other hospital who sent my wife home saying she was fine if I didn't take her to another hospital she would have died in 24 hours from a serious blood infection

Came in to check on my daughters arm, did an X-ray and claimed she fractured her arm will need a cast and called social services on us since she’s 6 months. 2 days later went to see the bone doctor for a cast and said she doesn’t need one she’s completely fine she’s moving her arm and in no pain. Social services closed the case and was not surprised by this particular hospital. Family and friends say it’s one of the worst similar experiences happened to them.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. They sent me home feeling worse than how i felt when i came in and did not treat me well and my pain was a 9/10 i was crying and they did not care. They told me to wait for medicine and ended up waiting in pain for hours just to be told “we’re short staffed” as i heard the nurses talking story and putting their attention to other patients that wasn’t in pain as much as me. I have experienced this before so i know what works and when i suggested it they turned it down and just decided to send me home with antibiotics. Wasted my time and probably made me more worse . They pick who they want to help and push everyone else to the side . So sad and true

Useless. Took husband to ER and literally spent the whole day just in the ER. Said he would be admitted but even that took forever. We ended up leaving cause my husband was getting hungry. I asked the nurse if he could atleast get some water since he been there all day and hadn't eaten anything. Nurse never came back and I asked twice. Only then did they want to actually work on my husband when he said he wanted to leave.

DO NOT USE. Queen's West will try to make you pay out of pocket for MRI's that are covered by your provider. Went to get an MRI from a VA referral. Queens collected from the VA and tried to collect from me. VA paid the bill 100%. They kept billing me until I personally went down there and demanded they stop harassing me.

The triage nurses express sarcastic opinions regarding personals medical choices. Generally they are very rude and impatient. I get that it's their job to screen patients, but they can do it with more professionalism

Visited the ENT Dr again, at Queen's West in Ewa. I really enjoy coming to this hospital instead of driving into town to Queens Punchbowl. The parking is way better, and less congested here at Queen's West. My Dr and his staff really show they care about their patients. I have had many test done here, and to have people treat you with kindness, and care. It really means a lot. They even found the cause of my thyroid issue, and it was resolved. Now, I'm back just for a follow-up. The staff here at the hospital are friendly and really make me feel at ease. Dr Theler is an awesome Otolaryngologist!! If you are looking for a specialist in ENT (ear, nose, and throat) I would definitely recommend Dr. Theler and his staff at Queen's West.....

the Covid-19 testing process here at queens west is by far the dumbest thing that I’ve ever seen. I came to get a Covid test, they took my information made me wait for basically 3 hours before even being moved to a room. While waiting there was a bunch of other patients coming in for NON-COVID 19 matters and they were taken to a room and seen in a matter for 30 minutes. Had to wait 2 more hours for the doctor and another 2 hours after being seen. Once tested they made me wait ANOTHER 2 hours jus for them to come and say that I need to log into something called “ mychart “ in order to see my test results. They sent me home while I was STILL sick and told me to check for results. Doctors didn’t perscribe me any medicine at all.

There is a stigma attached to Queen's from what used to be St.Francis, which imho, is unjustified. Considering, we are still in a pandemic, their professionalism was mind blowing. I have a new insight and appreciation for what the men and women have to deal with on a daily basis. Even food services and housekeeping were pushing positive vibes. Shout out to Maribeth, rocebelle and Nieves, as well as, everyone there who never got a chance to hand me their card.

I was receiving care at Wahiawā General for cellulitis. After two days, I felt horrible I asked to be released. I was driven directly to Queen’s West ER. I feel as though I received better care in the 2 hours there than the 2 days I spent at Wahiawā! Great people there who make you feel as though they want to help make you well! My advice, take that extra 10 minute drive to Ewa. You’ll be happy you did! First class health care! Our health and the health of our loved ones are important! We deserve first-class care! Mahalo!🌈

Horrible experience with Katrina from ER. My mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor and my only point of contact was this hospital. I called and she told me she couldn’t give me any information and then proceeded to hang up on me. I don’t understand how you could do that to someone going through something so traumatic. If I could I would give it zero stars.

My Uncle is deaf and mute so none of the nurses were able to communicate to him. They automatically made the assumption that his neck is just sore from the surgery he went through 5 months before in another hospital. After waiting from 7 pm to 5 am they did tests and said that he has an infection. The doctor did not want to help him because it would “ruin her reputation” and had to wait for the other doctor whose phone wasn’t answering when he was supposed to be a 24:7 doctor. Don’t take your relatives to this hospital, if you’re in an ambulance tell them to take you to Pali Momi instead. This isn’t the first incident that happened. A few years back they gave my grandmother medicine that they did not know she was allergic to (even through all the blood tests they done) which made her hallucinate for almost a whole year. They discharged her and sent her to hospice care because they couldn’t do anything which made matters a lot more worse.

We had to bring my elderly grandmother after she fell while we were on vacation. There wasn’t enough space so she had to be on a bed in the hallway. She was extremely difficult with staff, but they were professional and patient. They called us throughout her stay to update her on our condition. After she was discharged, they followed up with us even though they knew we were taking her to another hospital in California. We appreciate their kindness and how well they took care of her. This was a better experience than the hospitals in California.

My dad went in with a skin infection and fever on monday. He ended up getting covid and pneumonia. He was 93 and legally blind, severe dementia, and hard of hearing. No family member cud visit him. We were willing to sign waiver to not hold queens responsible. Mgmt said no they have strict covid policy. My dad was restrained on top of everything else. They said he wasnt eating. He was seen by speech dr and said he cud t be fed by mouth. He was aspirating. My dad gave up. He thought the family had abandoned him and left him there all alone. I had to call every day to see how he was doing. Friday they decided to let his caregiver come wearing protective gear. He decided not to which I respected. I told the dr can his son go instead of caregiver. They said no. My niece was trained in cpr. They said no. Dr said when am i going to take him home. I said im trying to get 24 care and hospice. So cold. Brought him home monday so grandkids cud see him. He passed on Thursday Queens mgmt was so cold and heartless. I blame them for my dads passing. He went downhill while in queens all by himself. So sad. Queens is low in my list of caring for patients. Go to straub. They care. Queens is just a business

The nicest team of ER personnel I've ever met! I was never made to feel like I was a nuisance or that I was being over dramatic for coming to the ER. They were thorough in their questions and tests made me feel so comfortable throughout it all. Definitely recommend going there if you are ever experiencing an emergency.

I'm going to revise my original review downward after my last experiences at Queen's West. The docs I've seen so far were fine. So why the low rating? The administration of this medical center is the worst & their programs worthless as far as I'm concerned. Surgery went well thanks to the docs & surgical team, but post surgery care under Queen's West "policies" was an ordeal. I wouldn't bring my dog here because I love my dog. Records don't uodate. I was scheduled wirh a doc who wasn't certified & couldn't see me, etc. My doc put in referrals for routine checks months ago, some still not done. He had to put in referrals again. Bye, looking elsewhere.

The After Hours Care center took great care of my three year olds tummy ache. Fast and friendly staff! Plus they have adorable keiki seating in the waiting room.

Appointment at imaging was at noon. Was told to arrive at 11:30am to register, although, we pre-registered on the phone. It’s going on 12:30pm and we are still waiting. So unprofessional and disrespectful of our time. Should never have agreed to come to this location. Queen’s West, you disappoint and you need to have your housekeeping discard this dead fly on the table in your waiting room. Still waiting for imaging…and I’m afraid I’m going to suffer the same demise as this fly…

I always look forward to the visit at Queens Medical Center West. Parking is readily available just a short walk from the front entrance. Covid screening at the door takes seconds. I have been visiting the cardiology clinic at the medical center. I feel my care has been outstanding with staff being very supportive and also very efficient in doing their job. Each visit is a very enjoyable experience.

We went into the ER with newborn on Christmas night. Although the wait was a while 1.5 hrs Dr. HOPKINS was amazing. He was so kind and nice. Gentle with our son and showed genuine concern. He answered our questions and then we were discharged. Before ending his shift he called to check on our boy that the bleeding had stopped, that he was eating, and getting rest. He even wanted to make sure we were getting rest and ok as well. One of the most kind doctors that really cares about his patients.

Called here because my OB said if I couldn’t make it to town, to deliver my baby here. ER operator was rude as heck told me I would be better off delivering at home versus wasting their time up there.

I went in for my covid 19 1st vaccination. Statewide advertising says free, no insurance needed, but at Queens West I was turned away because I didn't have my insurance card.

Call center to make an appointment 1hour 37min. On hold. Only to say the clinical will have to give you a call back us that ok, um I guess if you can't help. Queens you may dominate the islands , but you do have the worse communication, even if you use technology. Highly recommend families to advocate for their love ones.

As close to perfection as professionalism gets. In my experience... the facility here at Queens Medical Center West is tremendous. Starting and ending with the staff which is what makes a hospital a hospital.. warm, caring and attentive easily accurately describe the nursing staff, doctors, physicians and aids working here as of August 2023. Coming into the hospital in such bad shape as I did, the unexpected amount of life saving Healthcare I received is 2nd to none. A true Hawaiian example of care and passion for one's craftsmanship. Blessed ad honored to have bee treated so well, by so many. Thank you so much again... 🙏

Ended up in the ER while on vacation after testing positive for Covid. Everyone was wonderful. After 45 years in the medical field, it was a great experience, clean and friendly. Made a bad situation doable down to where to find an open pharmacy late at night to fill rxs.

The MRI dept in room 104 at Queens West is stellar! Everyone from the schedulers to the front desk to the techs, Jackie and Jess, were professional, friendly and helpful.

There is something wrong with the guard standing watch at the entrance of the hospital. He needs some training on how to address and behave toward senior citizens. There's no need to threaten someone with arrest for just stopping briefly on the street to check directions instead of using the phone while driving. His hostility was disturbing.

Above and beyond. I live out of state and have Medicaid. I hurt my knee hiking and was worried my insurance wouldn’t cover it. The staff was super kind. They got me crutches and and knee brace and an ice pack and were so kind. I truly appreciated it. My wait out front was an hour then I spend another hour or so in back, which wasn’t unreasonable as they were really busy.

Queen's West is such a blessing, as is the Sullivan Care Center, which is a wound care clinic. The staff and doctors are amazing! They share more Aloha than I've ever seen. May God bless them abundantly, without measure and to overflowing!!!
