Absolute perfection in every way. My pond system stopped working yesterday and I was in a bind to get it fixed. I called Damien and he was able to come out to my place same day to examine my pond and give me an estimate. He was professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly wanted to know my expectations for the pond. He made his recommendations and was able to fit me in the next day for service. He deep cleaned everything, got my waterfall feature working again, and replaced the pumps/filters. My pond is like brand new again! Damien even took care of a few extra things for me that I had been meaning to do for a while around the pond. His prices are very reasonable for the top notch work/service that he provides. You will not be disappointed. Definitely found my guy for everything aquarium/pond related.

We were trying to find a company to help convert our chlorinated pond into a koi pond and luckily found Waikiki Aquarium Service. The company already had stellar reviews, and they are all true! Damien, the owner, is personable, extremely knowledgeable, and passionate about ponds and fish. He is also a very hard worker and patiently answered any questions we had. When he stopped by for a consultation, he spent a good hour walking us through what it would take to convert our pond and was upfront about costs and the different options available to us to balance cost with function. We were expecting the conversion to take some time, but Damien came to service our pond three times within a month. By the second time, he added tester fish and shrimp, and by the third time (a week later) he was able to add hundreds more fish! We were so excited to see all the different kinds of fish swimming and exploring their new home. The fish are looking happy and so are we!

Great service. Damien was very responsible and on time. I had a lot of algae in my saltwater tank. He was able to clean my tank and ensure the salinity was optimum for my tank. Damien Beri fixed the long-term issue with my pond that no other companies were able to find. My pond has never looked so good with crisp clean water, and it now gives me less hassle. I don’t need to fill it with water daily because the problem is solved! Anyone who lives in Hawaii knows it’s not always easy to find people who are reasonable and dedicated to what they do. The Waikiki aquarium service and Damien Beri were some of the first professionals I found who not only know what they are doing but also dedicate their lives to conservation through coral restoration as a non profit damien runs on the side. Like anyone else in Hawaii, the time limits and project time frames don’t always match up but they are dedicated and once they start the project they ensure the right things are there for you, and the fish and that’s important to me. I did not have a big budget but they worked with me and gave me an incredible rate on my brand new koi pond that for me, is what I wanted to look natural and like it belongs in this space. I also know with all the competing info on the internet it’s hard to determine how to take care of the koi, but with Damien he tells me what NOT to do and ensures the fish are happy and healthy. I called Damien Beli who provides this aquarium service and I was so happy with his work. He was personally enthused about setting up an acquarium for my little granddaughter who would be visiting over the holidays. He decorated the tank, set up all the necessary equipment to keep it running and took care with hiding the wiring to improve its presentation. He explained the process of getting the tank to maximum health requirements for the fish to thrive. He brought the first fish in when the tank was ready for it. He plans once monthly visits to clean the tank and is happy to consult in the phone or in person when I am concerned in any way about the tank or the fish. Recently had an issue with my Koi pond filtration system installed by a different company that used a pool sand filter with media not intended for use with that system. Failure within 2 years, but that's a different story. Luckily found Damien who understands that a Koi pond is not a pool. He responded the same day to my email and fixed the issue the same week. The work was done promptly, expertly, and affordably. It's obvious when people take pride in their work, and Damien is a pro! On a personal note he is a very bright guy and interesting to talk to about marine biology and restoration of coral reefs in Hawaii. I highly recommend him without reservation!! One other important detail: He came by once to inspect, once to install, and once to ensure the system was working properly. He was a few minutes early for each appointment. Love that!
