đŸ«€ I really feel like the convention center dropped the ball on this experience. Like many reviews noted, there are shaky cameras and some parts that don’t align properly. This is a far worse experience than the Van Gough experience. Seems it was rushed to be put up and not given the care it deserves.... People often mention Monet, experience, exhibit, work, time, paintings,

I really feel like the convention center dropped the ball on this experience. Like many reviews noted, there are shaky cameras and some parts that don’t align properly. This is a far worse experience than the Van Gough experience. Seems it was rushed to be put up and not given the care it deserves. Really sad because Monet’s work deserves better. Along with that, the prices at the gift shop are outrageous. Most of that stuff can be found on Amazon for half of what they are charging. Though I doubt anyone from the convention center cares to read these, if they do, please do better next time. Two stars because it’s Monet, these do not belong to this experience.

There are peak (weekend and holidays) and off-peak tickets priced differently. When ordering there are discounts for student, senior, and military. No kama‘aina discount. Their ticket vendor will charge a fee for "processing tickets" which is about 30% of total ticket order. Parking can be found around the area, at the convention it is $12. This is an experience, not a museum. Entering the exhibit, they have a display of flowers and lights with hanging glass panels etched with background information and history of Monet. Kids may like the flower displays and those interested will likely learn something about Monet. The art work of Monet is experienced in a room that transforms and cycles through many of his well known paintings projected on the walls (the ballerinas were never shown, which is a bummer, but I guess it didn't flow with their theme). After experience, is a gift shop with neat gifts and unique items. Expensive, but unique. To get less expensive tickets, do off peak, all share the price among families, and/or have a group of 8 (you'll get a discount). Be aware of the ticket processing fee. If you're into art and experiences this will be fun and relaxing.

I just came back from this “exhibit”, what a rip off! $45 for two rooms! The first room was just a few quotes from Monet and some fact with photographs behind them. The photographs had no context, they weren’t photos of Monet, his paintings, France, they were just random pictures of nature. Then the immersive room projector kept messing up, it would skip and freeze. There was no context to the pictures in the immersive exhibit either. I just spent an hour at an exhibit about Monet and didn’t see one picture of him and none of the paintings names were mentioned, or references to understand when these paintings were done or what they were supposed to depict. No information whatsoever. Then of course it lead to an overpriced gift shop. I don’t know what I was supposed to get out of this exhibit but I left just feeling like I should have spent my money on a nice day at the Bishop Museum with enough left for lunch! Then to make matters worse, I looked up Monet exhibits in other cities and they’re so in-depth. Honolulu, we’ve been cheated! If you’re reading reviews trying to figure out if you want to do this
don’t!

Awful and a waste of your time and money. Go to the bishop museum if you're seeking a museum! They don't care if you didn't enjoy this either and there is no refund for the $45 of wasted money. 2 rooms, not a single piece of original art or even being "immersed" in anything accept projected monet paintings and quotes collected. This is a HUGE SCAM! DO NOT GO! If I could give them negative stars I would. The one 5 stars here must be bought because no one would give 5 stars to 2 rooms of nothing. You want to read about Monet let me suggest Google, you'll find the same things printed on the walls here. I asked for a refund only to be told no, so I hope I can save some people. Do not do it. The ONLY reason I could possibly think is if you need to meditate and have big bucks to drop on a spot to meditate with a bunch of other people around also wondering why they dropped so much money on this waste of space and energy. The only good thing I enjoyed from this museum was a little girl dancing, wish I could have given her the $45 I spent. Honestly how this scam is still up and running is beyond me. May need to follow this company and write reviews all over so that others in other cities do not get scammed next! Horrible!

Surprisingly, disappointing. Was expecting a lot more for the Honolulu Monet exhibit, especially for the price of the ticket. Disappointed. Only 2 rooms. At the very least I was expecting some the exhibit to project the video creatively in the environment, like mirrors or on boxes or props, rather than just on flat walls. The final room was just a video playing on the walls for 37 minutes, not enough chairs(10 chairs for 30+ people) and not allowed to even sit on the floor. If you did manage to ease your knees for a seat, the positioning of the chairs meant you had to sacrifice seeing the other walls. The gift shop had cute items but annoyingly had to have BEYOND MONET pasted over everything, I mean everything (Monet playing cards sound lovely- but each card had this logo all over the art).

A cool way to experience art in a different, visual medium. I really thought there'd be more rooms to explore but there was just two. The first was a bold and colorful intro to the life and works of Monet. The second was a huge room with an impressive 37-minute video mural of moving paintings. They sold a lot of merch at the end. $45 per adult / $25 for kids was a bit much in my opinion, but it was good to experience it at least once. Sadly, my kids 11 and 13, did not enjoy it.

Unbelievably unprofessional. I can’t believe it was $53. No real Monet’s work, some random nature stock photos, description looked like from Wikipedia, poor design, bad print quality, terrible projection mapping; overall awful. If you’re impressed by this..please visit mainland and see the real exhibits. I work in this industry, you really shouldn’t get impressed by this, not even slightly. I agree to other reviewers, it’s a scam.

This is the third Immersive experience I've been - the venue location was perfect and time slots were just right. Yes, there are different tiers for tickets, but if you read the descriptions it isn't rocket science. In terms of the monet exhibit, I have zero complaints - if you enjoy art culture, this is a must.

The artwork is of course very pretty, and whoever put the 37 minute show together did a beautiful job, but there were a couple little things that kept it from being a totally immersive experience. One of the screen panels kept like, jumping. The images being displayed on it would shake as if there was an earthquake, which was super distracting. People were more respectful for this one than the Van Gogh exhibit, and staff was a little more present and hands on here, but it was still annoying trying to get certain pics or videos. They have two bridges set up in the main viewing area, and they tell you no more than two people on a bridge at a time, but there's no time limit. So I couldn't get pics of/from the bridge when Monet's water lilies were being shown because there were a couple people who just stood on the bridges the entire time. The whole thing felt... a little unfinished? There was something missing, but it was beautiful overall and I'd still recommend going. We got the vip package, which doesn't seem to mean anything other than you get a merchandise package from the gift store. The merch pack was actually pretty generous and included a poster, sticker, lanyard, and polo. Neither me or my friend took the polo, though. They were just plain black and said "beyond monet" and the material felt really uncomfortable, but we both still felt we got our money's worth.

Very informative. Information about the artist. A new look on his work. 37 min video highlighting his art as a movie.
