I just moved from the Philippines to the US. I don’t know many English but I experience this gym and it’s very very good. Everybody in the world should come and lift ober here. The gym stuff is clean and very very heavy. A lot of very strong guys and very very nice all of them.

Amazing powerlifting gym with top of the line equipment and a very welcoming environment to help motivate you to become better and reach your goals. The owners are also incredibly nice and accommodating. Definitely the best gym in Hawaii and one of the best gyms period.

I'm new to powerlifting and decided to come to Ukiyo Hawaii instead of a commercial gym and it was the best decision I've ever made. The owner, Jaron, was so helpful with the signup process and getting me accuainted with all the fancy equipment in the gym. The gym goers and fellow members made me feel right at home immediately and were able to help me with all of my newbie questions. I thought this experience would be scary and intimidating, but the community here made it so easy for me to feel comfortable in a new environment. 10/10 would recommend this gym to any and all new and experienced lifters alike!

I remember the first time stepping foot into Ukiyo. The sound of metal like clashing swords, the smell of iron sharpening iron, the cacophony of uplifting words from lifters aiding one another in this quest for strength and camaraderie. I had never before encountered such gladiators, that were simultaneously compassionate teddy bears, that wasted not even a moment in welcoming me into their humble bungalow that they refer to as a gym. Dare I mention, I spend many moons performing the powerlifter's song and dance with those I proudly acknowledge as my timeless companions. I salute you, Ukiyo.

Visited this gym while on holidays all the way from Australia and it has been one of the best gyms I’ve ever trained at. Other than the abundance of top tier equipment, competition spec plates, bars and racks, my partner and I met some of nicest people while training there. Everyone was extremely friendly, mostly especially Jaron, who made Josh and I feel like locals!! It’s also in a very convenient location if you’re staying in Honolulu, very central to a lot of places. We tell all our friends who plan on visiting Hawaii to definitely train here. We can’t wait to come back and train here again! 5 stars!

The best powerlifting gym in Hawaii! With no doubt. Ukiyo's owner (Jaron Yamane) is very friendly and welcoming, and is open to any questions! The hospitality at Ukiyo is incredible. If you're looking for a place to train while on vacation or a gym to train at on a regular basis. Choose Ukiyo! Not to mention that the hours are very accommodating to your schedule. Love this facility!

Got a day pass during my stay on Oahu. They have everything you need for powerlifting. Not only is the equipment of the highest quality, but the community is even better. Everyone, including the owner Jaron, is extremely friendly. Definitely recommend checking out Ukiyo if you haven’t already. This will be my go-to powerlifting facility whenever I go on vacation!

Honestly one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to in Hawaii! I’ve been to all of the 24 hour gyms and UFC GYMS and Ukiyo surpasses them in so many ways. When I first signed up, I told myself that I was only going to stay a member and pay for a membership until after my competition which was in April since I already have a free membership at UFC GYM. Even with a free membership at UFC, the environment and the people at Ukiyo are enough for me to stay for a long time! Can’t wait to see what Jaron and Chelsea have in store for the future of Ukiyo!

If you’re on the island and interested in powerlifting, there isn’t any better place than this. Not only is the equipment the best of the best (I haven’t seen a gym with better equipment even out of state), but the tight knit community in here really what makes this gym different than any other. It really feels like all the members are like one big family. They’re very friendly and welcoming to new-comers and will hype you up no matter what your strength levels are at. Even if you aren’t into powerlifting, the machines here feature top of the line engineering for muscle building purposes, and you really won’t find them anywhere else on the island. Overall, Ukiyo gets 5 starts from me! Oh and as a potential bonus, they also have a TV at the front where people like to play smash bros 😂

Fantastic gym, honestly, only the best of the best equipment is available there. Great chemistry between the members. I felt so welcomed by everyone and especially the owner! Jaron is passionate and a hard worker! Best service and environment you can ask for! I’ll definitely stop by again whenever I’m back in Honolulu! Mahalo!

Great facility for all Powerlifting and Strength Training enthusiasts! Conveniently located near the Hmart grocery store across the street and parking is not much of an issue. Equipment is top notch in terms of quality that can only be acquired from international companies like Eleiko.

This gym by far is the best gym I’ve ever been to, the energy, the people, it honestly feels like a second home and I couldn’t imagine going to another gym, the equipment is like no other it’s all in pristine condition and they feel really nice, no other gym in the state has equipment this top notch, the owner takes care of us too man he cares about every single member like they’re one of his own, he treats everyone with the utmost respect and curtesy, and he’s an absolutely great role model for us gym goers, the lighting goes crazy for them pump pictures, we can play our own music on the speakers, it’s a nice privilege, everyone here is like a family, a perfect gym THE best in Hawaii!

Best Powerlifting gym I have been to! Training environment is fantastic and the equipment is top of the line. Lots of specialized bodybuilding equipment, bunch of strong, supportive lifters and the best meets are hosted at this gym! Couldn't recommend enough!

The best gym on the island! Everyone from the owner + staff + members are super friendly, helpful and supportive. Won't be going to any other powerlifting gym.

It’s rare to find a good quality gym when you are traveling, much less a powerlifting gym, that has a great community, high quality equipment, an amazing owner, and an incredible vibe - but Ukiyo Hawaii encompasses all that and more. I was here visiting for 2 weeks, and not only was the owner approachable, but he made me feel like I was part of the community right from the get-go. I was even welcomed by the members; a good community of members is a tell-tale sign of great ownership and community in powerlifting. If you are in the area, highly recommend checking this place out and getting a pump in. Please support this amazing small business!
