Sandeep Shenoy once upon a time used to be a very good ophthalmologist in town and he still could be a good one for consultation but the way the current clinic/ hospital is being managed is truly commercial. The women staff are impolite and when asked for a particular doctor they direct you to someone else and the patient has no say but forced to get consulted by another doc. If clerical staffs are asked for help there is a significant rude attitude and behaviour amongst most of them

The clinic is very well maintained and equipped. Doctors are very good, treat you well. I would rate 4 here. But why I rated 3 is that due to opticals within the clinic. Staffs in opticals are quite okay. I just disliked the way how they taught to wear a lens since it was a very first time, agree that it would take time but the staff was very impatient, laughing and commenting!! It's just obvious that when you try a lens for very first time, eye blinks, but as a staff you got to have patience while teaching a patient. Next time I have decided that I am not going to buy the lens there again !

I have to express my gratitude to Dr Sandeep Shenoy of Mahalaxmi Eye Clinic for the Cataract Lazer of my right eye. Last year it was my left eye. Both the eyes are perfect and I can see better. A special thanks to Dr. Vijna Kamat always encouraging-not to worry everything will be okay. Staff are very helpful and all out to help with friendly approach. Anusha was very helpful to clear my Insurance claim. I am from Mumbai and though I cannot speak Kannada or Tulu, I did not face any difficulties. All of them left an impression on me. I wish them the best.

One of the worst clinic, pls don't visit here, earlier the doctor was good and thy were treating the patients well, but now a days thy r just back of Money and if u go u will loose ur eyes..it's really frustrating to mention this..my mom had a cateract treatment for one eye, and she could see clearly from one eye, recently we took her again to show another eye, and one soo called doctor just treated her and now that operated eye is also becoming blurr because of the power of "light "wch was used on her eyes for soo long. Dr Sandeep Shenoy, i would request you not to keep such a doctors who doesn't have even basic common sense tht how to treat a patient, That doctor didn't have patience to listen what my mother was going through..very heartbreakingly i am writing this. We treat doctors as god, so don't rush behind making just money.

Extremely arrogant doctor Mr.Ajith Pai , when a patient who has been coming to your clinic from the past 7 years claims that there is some deficiency in the service offered you have to analyse it instead Mr.Pai charged on my father may be he thinks that he is the only ophthalmologist in town, well that’s not the case bye 👋🏻

Team of Reputed Doctors in the area of Udupi. Staff turned out to be supportive after initial hiccup on the insurance process. Surgery went well and my Mother is happy with the results. Special thanks to Dr. Vijna Kamath for the patience and understanding as we were negotiating the transaction with the insurance company.

I wanted to give it some time and review to let myself give a second thought. We go for Dr Sandeep Shenoy and even if you want to meet him, the staff acts defensive and pushes you to meet the other doctors. It’s kind of like they want you to finish and go! See, it ok to meet Dr Sandeep first and then meet the second doctor. Now imagine if there is a 3rd/4th doctor in the next consult too who just knows you briefly, now that’s not good for the client, right? It’s about our eye ,think about our feedback too.No offense the other doctors are good but stick to one doctor please! Secondly, the staff- they are helpful but they are are just everywhere and all are saying different things. As soon as I come out of the clinic and reach home one of the staff called to say she mistakenly put the charges of the procedure in the file and that I should come immediately. Like how?! And why would you expect me to come all the way? The staff also seem way too young/immature and need some training . I would expect some professionalism. My mom even ended up getting some blur from the cataract. She has previously done it in Sakra Hospital, Bangalore and was way better ! I understand for Udupi this is a convenient option but it has to be close to better, right????? Like my mom said “it’s like a market”. Overall it was ok!

Very bad experience !!! Waste of time and money. Don't go here for optical prescription, my suggestion is that directly go to any optical shop they will do the correct test with free of cost.

I had a vision test for my eyes in mahalaxmi eye clinic had a wonderful experience, all the doctor as well as staffs were polite and professional as well as caring. This is located near Harsha showroom Ajjerkad road. This is a complete eye care clinic. This clinic has their own medical store, laboratory, eye optic store, operation theatre, Refraction rooms. Clinic is spacious and clean. They have 5 consultation rooms, which means there are 5 doctors and hence waiting time is less for patients. Doctors are very polite and kind. Good space for seating. Vehicle Parking space is available. Most of the employees in this clinic are female.

Have been visiting Mahalaxmi Eye clinic since I have been a kid and I must say it is the most reliable place to get your eye checked. The new place is wonderfully designed and super efficient. Recently got my mother's cataract surgery done here and it was a wonderfully managed procedure. The doctors are great but a huge shout out to the staff at the clinic. They make you feel comfortable and manage all the paperwork for the insurance, if any, seamlessly. A definite recommended place in case you are looking for a professional and reliable eye care in Udupi.

One of the best eye clinic in town. Eye specialists are highly experienced. But the staff is extremely rude and inconsiderate specially when it comes to emergency cases, shows the lack of education and basic manners. When the doctors can be soo calm with such busy working schedule why can't the staff have some courtesy to act like human. Wouldn't recommend this place in cases of emergency only because of the receptionists and staff.
