Tasteless food. Went here to have dinner, the ambience was ok, the price was to be expected. While the person who served us was pleasant and friendly, we waited a long time for her to take our order. Waited even longer for the food we ordered. Makes you wonder since there was only 1 other couple there with us-(separate party)and even after they were served, finished eating and left, we still waited a good while before we got our food. Yes we understand the food was cooked to order/ 2 of our dishes, but the time the hostess/waitress gave us- we waited double that time. Plus we were the only ones there. Hhmm!? So you would expect that after the wait the food would be to die for. However, the steamed fish was very bland, no okra, no seasoning and overcooked. The grilled chicken was also bland, unseasoned and undercooked. And the curry chicken just had no taste. They said it was Jamaican, but these had no flavor, or tasted like Jamaican food. The only experience of Jamaican food was the cost. Not even the essence or smell was present. The place was empty of patrons (maybe because it was a Sunday evening.🤔 or lack of flavor of food) Anyway the waitress/ hostess told us that they provided several entertainment there during the week. Would we return- No, no. See pictures of food and places.

This one is a little harder to rate. The server was nice & friendly, the food was good when we finally got it. I first ordered the Caribbean Jerk Pork Ribs, they did not have them. (We were their first customers that Sunday). Then I ordered the Jerk Chicken Wings, you guessed it they were out of chicken wings. Then they told me that they could do up something that would be vary good and similar to the wings. They fixed a chicken leg and then charged me for Jerk Chicken meal. My wife had the Caribbean Jerk Chicken bowl and enjoyed it. Other members of our party had the Grilled Chicken Breast & the Sweet & Sour Chicken and said that the food tasted good. We may try again but it will not be after church on a Sunday.

Please do better when people put in delivery orders. the food looks like it was thrown in the box without care and no sauce at all. Just dry chicken and rice. Plus when I received my order (which was incorrect btw) there was also some unknown item on top of box when I opened the bag. Looks like either candle wax or chicken fat.

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND AND I WENT TO ISLAND FLAVA FOR OUR EDS MEETING AND LUNCH. FROM THE WORD GO OUR EXPERIENCE, WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD, FROM THE MOMENT WE WALKED INTO THE RESTAURANT, THE GENTLEMAN OPEN THE DOORS FOR US, PULLED OUT BOTH OF OUR CHAIRS, HE WAS VERY POLITE. HE BROUGHT BOTH OF US TALL ICE COLD GLASSES OF WATER, AFTERWARDS HE CAME AND ASKED WHAT WOULD BE OUR DRINK ORDERS. WE TOLD HIM WE WANT LEMON TEA, HE CAME BACK AND SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE THIS TYPE OF TEA, THEN WE ASKED IF HE HAD FRUIT JUICE AND HE SAID YES, BUT IT WASN'T THE KIND WE'RE USE TO DRINKING. WE ENDED UP ORDERING SPRITE FOR OUR DRINK, OUR GENTLEMEN TOOK OUR ORDER, WE BOTH ORDERED OXTAILS CABBAGE AND CARROTS, MY BEST FRIEND HAD WHITE RICE, WHILE I HAD RICE AND PEAS. WHEN OUR FOOD ARRIVED IT WAS DELIVERED TO OUR TABLE IN STYLE WITH GRACE, AND ELEGANCE. OUR GENTLEMEN MADE SURE WE HAD EVERYTHING WE NEED AND WANTED WITH OUR MEAL. HE CHECK ON US DURING OUR MEAL. ONCE WE WERE DONE I ASKED FOR THE CHECK, WE PAID, GOT OUR THINGS AND WERE HEADING OUT THE DOOR WHEN HE CAME UP TO US AND SAID HE WOULD SEE US OUT, ONCE AGAIN OPENING THE DOOR FOR US. THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD TO THIS DAY. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR MAKING US FEEL WELCOME AND VALUED, AS A CUSTOMER TODAY. ALSO TODAY IS OUR GENTLEMEN BIRTHDAY. We needed a place for carry out and ended up at Island Flava. When i finished the order person on line ended convincing to come in. Place was nice atmosphere with good music. I ordered the Jerk Salmon and it was super delicious…spicy :). Everyone was so attentive and welcoming. Truly a great experience for our family. Thank you

Went to this restaurant yesterday for lunch and was greeted by Dee and Emy. I immediately felt welcomed. They were so great from beginning to end. The music was great. The decor was all that, may I add!!! Also, the food was great! Great vibes. Thanks to Dee and Emy I will be back. Definitely bringing a crowd with me.

Never fails, anytime I go to eat.. The woman taking order HAS MAJOR ATTITUDE. Usually the food is pretty tasty but last time I went I had to ask for a large serving, for which I had paid. The owners daughter accused me of eating the food and then asking for more, the other waitress had to tell her that wasn't true. ONLY to get home and discover the Oxtail smelled rank and Sour. If they worked on their customer service they could keep more business.

I believe that a business’s customer service determines the outcome of a customers experience.Our server Janel , is the prototype/protégé/ of what is to be expected at island flavor. In addition to the best customer service, the food was wonderful.. I’m telling everyone about this spot in the ville.

Since I moved from NY to NC it is very hard to find authentic food. I must say, I finally found my place great atmosphere and outstanding customer service. I do have one suggestion please make the Jerk Chicken Quesadillas a little but bigger for the price you charge isn’t worth it. Other than that, keep doing what you do! I’ll be back :-)

I've come into a beautiful pack setting, the music was good but the lady on patio was very helpful. I love reggae so hard I was unsure what I walked into but the patrons was fabulous and bubbly yes they dance in here and I enjoyed every minute. Yes I'll return but I appreciate the vibe.

Island Flava is a nice Jamaican restaurant. I went on a day when it was less crowded. The server was nice and pleasant, but I only saw one server. I had a lemon drop as my drink of choice. The drink was okay. Also, I had the curry goat with rice peas, and plantains! I enjoyed the food, the curry goat had great spice and the rice and peas were good. Overall a good restaurant, I’d recommend better lighting.

i literally had some of everything on this buffet menu ! Great meal ! Great service. Will definitely be back again 😊

Good thing I didn't take that bite. Food is usually tasty otherwise. Have had a few mishaps.

The food here is absolutely amazing and delicious. The presentation of the food is exceptional. My waitress. D was amazing. My total dining experience here was absolutely phenomenal.

This was my first visit. Customer service was excellent and she was so patient with me. My husband had curry Chicken dinner meal (large) with rice and peas and steamed veggies. I had jerk Tofu, rice and peas, plantains and cabbage. We really enjoyed our meal. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Thank you Island Flava! We will see you again!

This place is not terrible at all I got jerk chicken which was in my opinion a 7 out of 10 the reason I give it three stars is because the rice was really dry and the jerk chicken could of been better. Customer was great very friendly and clean atmosphere.

I went in there for an UberEATS order and I think I walked in at the right time. It was a Sunday night and they had a comedy show going on. I was literally the only white person in there which didn't bother me. The comedian poked fun at me which was also pretty funny. I would say it took a long time waiting on the food I had to pick up and I couldn't get a lot of help from the staff. I spoke to 3 different people and the woman behind the bar didn't really acknowledge me until the order was ready. Waiting that long on an order while also being assigned to 2 other orders that I had already picked up made my customers pretty upset and had me missing out on money. But I will say they were pretty attentive to the guests that were attending the comedy show. Every had there drinks and orders were already placed. So over all of your a dasher or UberEATS driver, expect to wait. If your there dining, just know you will be well taken care of.

Great restaurant. Great customer service and Shanell was a very nice bartender. The food was great. Will definitely be returning.
