We came here for the spring break, hoping to escape the busy life and enjoy some tranquility during the Easter week. The view is great, and the location is convenient. However, in the early Monday morning, machines are digging up the perfect parking lot in front of the building, making a lot of noise which is unbearable. We are upset that we were not notified by the situation in advance, and we are paying hundreds of dollars a day to listen to the darn noise during our vacation. The question is 1) why on earth chooses the Easter week to do this job, as it is a busy holiday season? 2) why needs to repave a parking lot in perfect condition? Someone is making money off this, and the condo owners are paying for it.

2 pools. One beautiful and relaxing and the other with about 3 feet of green swamp water and frogs. Seriously. One thing that surprised our group was how ignorant and impatient the locals are to us visiting folks. Other than the green pool and some ignorant locals it was a very relaxing family oriented place

Like, God damn, this is the best resort(?) on the island. You got two pools, you got a straight walk to a nice open beach, you got well furnished condos and houses, entertainment is right across or right down the street. Tennis court and basketball goal! Beautiful bridge and public area. I've been coming here for literally 20 years(born only a week before my first visit) for the 4th of July and leaving is so hard.

The views here are amazing. That bathroom by the pool is rough though. The pool itself is nice. The gate situation can get annoying during a power outage or malfunction. But I'd stay here again, overall it's a nice development.

Wonderful uncrowded beach just a quick walk down the sidewalk from our town house. Our end unit 125e is the last townhouse in the first building. Nice view of water from 2nd and 3rd.floor. our unit is updated completely and very clean upon arrival. 2 community pools shared with a smaller high rise and other townhouses. Not crowded at all during our June vacation. Overall Beautiful Sandy beaches, not as rough as OBX with a variety of housing g options! Highly recommend.

Beautifully well maintained grounds in this gated community. Easy beach access with no crowds. Easy access to dining, entertainment and shopping.❤️❤️❤️

We stayed in unit 514 and Dave was our VRBO host. He was a great host. Good communication, Condo was everything he said it was. Very clean! Lots of amenities. Great for families and people looking for a nice quiet get-a-way! Safe gated community! Picture perfect view! We will most definitely be rebooking with Dave!

The day we arrived to condo 105 west at Sound of the Sea, the freezer/ refrigerator was not working well. There was a note posted on the freezer from 2020 that the water and ice dispenser was inoperable due to the wiring being removed by a guest and the part was no longer made to make the repair. Supposedly the ice machine was operating at that point of time but we did not have ice ( we purchased a bag ). The problem was reported to the rental co.the following day which was Labor Day and a maintenance man did come to access the problem and provided us with ice for the cooler we brought from home filled with food. The following day another maintenance man returned to check on the situation. On Wednesday more ice and a dorm size unit was brought in . On Friday a vendor came in and said the appliance was not able to be repaired and would need to be replaced. What an inconvenience while on vacation! The view and beach is wonderful but I would make sure the owner has rectified this appliance issue and replaced the queen size mattress (springs shot) prior to renting this unit!

We go to the beach once a year. We are not rich and so look for the best place with the best price. This is it on the outterbanks coastline. Fantastic view from 101 East as it is on the end. Down the stairs over the dune and at the beach. 50 Steps! The rooms great.. THe top master room had a beachfront view that will knock you eyes out! You can feel the spray from the surf at high tide! (lol almost) Included are some Shots from above of the property and some shots from the deck
