No Fear going here! Such a beautiful serene place. Stroll the 80 acres - just get there before 4 pm so you have time for it all- sit and stare at the fish and fountains, or walk among the butterflies on the butterfly path. You’ll feel the fear escape and the calm set in. This doesn’t break the bank either as the entry fee is just a few bucks. There’s an extensive gift shop with local treasures probably all from Oak Island (lol jk), and wines from the regional mountains. This is a place to return to.

This was the first time that I experienced going to the Holiday of Lights in the Garden after living here for 10 years. There were so many lights to see. I can’t believe that I waited 10 years to come and experience this place. My daughter went to see one of her friends perform at a Christmas Show. I am very pleased with the experience. This was my first time at the Botanical Gardens and it is beautiful out there. There were so many lights and different themes of lights to see. There were little areas of kid games, vendors and even informational booths from around the community. I love supporting local businesses and there was some fresh baked goods that I bought several items from. We had some hot cocoa and coffee from the coffee stands that were there. My daughter and her friend went into this big pipe and rolled down a hill. There were picture taking with Santa and the Grinch too. It is definitely a place I would go and visit again. Prices weren’t too expensive to go in and I remember being able to buy tickets online.

Great experience! The gardens are fantastic. We went in the winter, and it was still very nice to get out and walk around. The gardens have lots to look at and great views of the river. I am sure that all the Pokemon Go lovers will be amazed at all the available content on the game that is in the gardens.

Very nice nature trails. The flowers and gardens were nice but I was expecting more floral displays for the $10 price of admission. Seems like a great venue for weddings or special occasions.

Large garden with lots of paths to explore. We went in October when the blooms were not plentiful and the greenery was transitioning for wintertime. However the gardens were still very well kept up. Some of the paths were quite rocky and not ideal for a baby stroller. The cafe was delicious as well for a meal before walking around. Would love to come back when in full bloom and full of butterflies!

Beautiful garden. Great for visiting or hosting events including weddings. Ample parking. Lauren (event coordinator) was really helpful and friendly. David was amazing as well. 12 hour rental. Worth your money but not flexible with media vendors. They only contract with two media companies that are not very affordable.

The Botanical Gardens is a beautiful, serene place to go for a stroll. Long paths and colorful views make for a relaxing, introspective time. There is a variety of trees, plants and flowers to observe and study, if you enjoy nature. Make sure you bring a hat and wear a good pair of walking shoes or hiking boots. Plan to spend a couple hours enjoying what mother nature has to offer.

Beautiful! Great for picture taking! Excuse my little model in the pictures, that was my goal when visiting but it is a very beautiful place to walk around for any occasion or even to get married or have an event at!

There was no attendant at the ticket counter when we arrived and we were left waiting in the lobby until finally someone called us into the gift shop to purchase our tickets to enter the garden. I tried being friendly but felt the woman working the gift shop was not welcoming. With military discount tickets were still almost $20 for the two of us, pretty buildings but not much to see. We were gone within an hour and left with a lackluster impression of the gardens and overall experience considering the entrance fee.

If you're needing a break from the hustle and bustle and want to reconnect with nature...take a morning walk at the botanical gardens. Slow down and bathe in the forest. Breathe in the scent and refresh your spirit. Great experience. Lots for the littles and the cutest gift shop!

The Botanical Gardens are beautiful and so full of information and peaceful! I took my class on a field trip and it was the best. We all enjoyed it. All the students said they wanted to come back with their families. I plan on bringing the rest of my family for some of the events that they have year around. Everyone was friendly and very helpful.

What a relaxing, educational and calming experience exploring the park. A very good place to just chill with nature whether you choose to do some walking, exercise, meditation, special occasions, play, or study the many varieties of plants, trees, and flowers, as well as the animals that complete this ecosystem.

I have never visited the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens but saw pictures and heard so many great things about it. I decided to reserve the Orangery at Cape Fear Botanical Gardens for my wedding/reception in November. The entire process leading up to the wedding was amazing and stress-free. I was connected with Sheron Johnson as my coordinator and she made sure every "t" was crossed and "i" was dotted. She was easy to talk to, very understanding, patient, and as a bride who was planning my own wedding...this was extremely important. I had my wedding outside of the gardens and the reception inside the Orangery. Days prior to the wedding, we were able to coordinate time to take engagement pictures outside and because it was the holiday season, the decorations were beautiful. I look forward to visiting the Gardens on a normal day to take in the sites and also planning another event here. Thank you to the entire team who helped make my day the best ever!!!

The botanical gardens were beautiful, even with it being darker out. The different vendors all had fun crafts and wares. The light displays themselves were wonderful. Only complaint I had was regarding the Christmas scavenger hunt. I scoured the grounds trying to find everything on it (you only need to get Bingo, but I digress) and had sincerely given up trying to find the lion topiary. It was to the right of the entrance, just hidden behind all of the vendor tents they had set out and we honestly found it on accident when heading to the exit.

Beautiful scenery layout, especially for the holiday seasons. Took a trip there on Halloween and they had beautiful decor and scenery all throughout the garden. Well worth the trip if you're looking for something to do.

One of the best botanical gardens I've been to and this was in the winter. The nature trails are beautiful and well kept. The center ponds were nice. I can only imagine what it will look like in the summer and I will return this summer to check it out.

A fun place to spend an hour or two. Fed carp and turtles! In my opinion, very pricey entry fee ($10), hence 4 stars.

The walk is very enjoyable, especially through the shade of the trees. There are paved and unpaved terrain to choose. Plenty of places to sit and rest. I didn't see bathrooms out in the garden space, but the one in the vistors' center was clean and not too far from most of the attractions. The entry cost is reasonable. To be fair, it's been a very hot week with no rain. We will need to come back in spring or early summer when the garden has more color and is hydrated to fully appreciate the space, but it was a nice way to pass the time waiting for our flight.

Such a beautiful, peaceful walk in the garden. Even in winter it was still fun to see the trails and heritage center. Definitely a must go and see.

Visited during the “take a child” event. Loved the quietness of the location even though it was in the heart of the city. Loved the children’s play area. Beautiful flowers and well maintained. Would have loved to have a bit of explanation for the old houses that are on the property but none the less they were adorable. Gift shop was great. Will return.

This place is always a lot bigger than you think it is. They have a lot of the plants out front are labeled so this was great while trying to remember for science olypiad forestry. They have plants for all seasons and they will decorate depending on the holidays. They had a lot when I went with my sister for Halloween and they went above an beyond with some food trucks, candy, glass maze, the gazebo had a movie, and the area for kids had some activities (arts). They are currently decorated for Christmas with a couple places perfect for photo opportunities. They also have a community garden but I am relatively certain that it's exclusively for members. It's by their historical houses. I was also made aware that their school is right next to the botanical garden so that people can get on site experience.

The Halloween experience was a great time. Candy hand out was significantly less than usual. Kids had a great time with the bubbles, dance floor and kid play section. Gravel walkways so not easy with smaller strollers.

Wow, I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed my visit to Cape Fear Botanical Garden. From the moment I stepped foot on the grounds, I was greeted by pleasant staff and volunteers. But let me tell you about their holiday lights event - it was a magical and enchanting experience! The entire garden was transformed into a winter wonderland with twinkling lights and festive decorations. Walking through the illuminated paths, I felt like I was in a fairytale. It truly brought a sense of joy and wonder, and I can't recommend it enough. In addition to the holiday lights, the staff at Cape Fear Botanical Garden were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, with a newfound appreciation for the natural world. Overall, my visit to Cape Fear Botanical Garden Holiday Lights exceeded all of my expectations. Whether you're a nature lover visiting during the day, a fan of holiday lights attending during a special event (Boo-tanical at Halloween is amazing too!) or simply looking for a serene escape, this garden is a must-see. I can't wait to visit again and see what other wonders this beautiful sanctuary has to offer. Truly a gem in the Fayetteville area.
