This place is a waste of time. They are clearly about just making as much money as possible. We signed our son up for soccer here because it was the closest place for indoor soccer we could find. We drive 40 minutes each way twice a week. The “coaches” stand in the way on the field, very rarely give instruction, switch goalies and players out mid play, when kids fall and are clearly hurt they don’t even bother to check on them. The first 3 games were 20 minute half’s but today they did 15 minutes. They started late even though the kids were out on the field ready...I could go on and on. The straw that broke the camels back was today during my sons game. A kid who wasn’t on either team was playing and he was pretty good. They started him on the opposing team but at half time the “coach” told the kids that he was going to be switching to my sons team because “they weren’t playing well enough.” Completely unnecessary and unacceptable to say to an already discouraged team! My husband spoke to whoever claimed to be in charge. He was completely unprofessional and unapologetic. All he did was make excuses for this woman’s behavior and suggested we bring it up with her! Save your money and time! I would rather drive two hours for quality than whatever this is.

During track out my son attended because some of his friends were also there and he thought it would be fun. Everyday it seemed like he was less and less interested in going. Come to find out he's being teased constantly by one of the coaches. I've been coaching basketball for 2 years and this shouldn't be tolerated in any way shape or form. Horrible experience

Coaches are great but this place is in decline. Staff at the concession and desk have gotten unbelievably rude. Literally had to explain to the guy that I’m a grown up and he should speak to me as such. Wasn’t going to explain customer service as that would have been a stretch beyond where we were. It’s a shame that I don’t want my kid to come back here because of behavior like this that is easily controlled. I wouldn’t recommend this place for the price.

Staff have always been very friendly and present, you can tell they care about your kids as people, not just for money. Coach Cedric, our sons football coach, is always very friendly and super energetic encouraging the boys after games. They have had some very energetic and friendly new hires (which honestly was much needed). The play can sometimes get rough, but they are growing boys, no one is playing violently. The worst part of the program are the rude parents who can sometimes go too far and yell at kids, but managers (especially the red head one) are very good at stepping in, solving problems, or asserting themselves in an attempt to protect the kids on the field! (Some of these parents should be ashamed of themselves! Yelling at 12 year old boys trying to learn and love playing football!)

I visited this place twice. My experience the staff is professional and friendly. The faculty isn’t the cleanest and the air quality left much to be desired, considering it is an indoor sport complex however, who really noticed during evening Adult football games (here in America we call it soccer) when the drinks are going around. During the day the kids seem to be having a good time and this gets two thumbs up.

Poor management and staff is very unprofessional, my buddy lost his necklace there and it was recovered by a guy named Drew. When my buddy went to recover it the same day GM name Bradley with a nasty attitude claimed the item wasn’t there, we called his co Worker who said it was suppose to be there where he had left it…This place can’t be trusted with lost and found Items especially things of value so be careful.

Indoor soccer is aggressive, I get it, but XL sports, their referees, and their coaches need to keep the game safe and competitive. Parents had to stop the game today after our kids were getting repeatedly slammed into the walls and on the turf at every contact, with no calls from the ref. Our kids were losing by 13 so the Bayern coach should have dialed it back. How a guy like that is allowed to coach kids is a mystery to me.

My 3 year old has really enjoyed both the soccer and baseball classes he has taken here. He especially loves Coach Hilary.

If you are looking for a training ground for your beginning soccer player, this is not the place for you. The “development “ program is really geared towards advanced players. Practices are geared towards the advanced players and an opportunity for the “coaches” to showcase their skills against 9-12 year olds. What pushed us over the edge was our player getting hurt (potential concussion) and being asked one question as part of the “protocol” and then put on the end of the bench where no one checked on them. The game wasn’t stopped and no one came to find me as a parent to check on them. I had to go around to check my player and no one ever talked to me about getting them ice, checking on them or anything. Even before the game, they brought on more advanced players instead of just spreading out the players already there. The lack of adult decision making and following injury protocols is astounding. Even when other parents talked to the staff, the staff was condescending and unapologetic. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Let me start by saying, I've had no issues here with regards to extracurricular activities such as kid's soccer leagues, etc. There are many coaches/counselors here that my kids love. This review is strictly in reference to track-out camps. My child had an immediately noticeable swollen eye at pickup and no employees or staff members available at pickup had any information about what happened to him. Apparently another child hit him in the face multiple times with a dodgeball intentionally. My child reported it to a counselor and nothing was done. No incident report, no measures taken, no parent contact. I understand children get upset and fight, but what is not acceptable is that nothing is done when such behavior is brought to the attention of employees. You won't be notified as a parent and there won't be a record of the incident to explain why your child came home with an injury. I find it unacceptable and concerning that a child walked around with a swollen eye for half the day and there is no evidence that anyone at XL noticed, asked him what happened, documented or notified a parent. I emailed and called asking for a phone call to discuss what happened, procedures in the event this were to happen again, etc., and did not receive a return phone call or email. I called the next morning after sending an email and leaving a voicemail the previous day and was able to get a refund, but again, no mention of the incident or acknowledgement of my earlier communications. I've lost my confidence in this facility to provide track-out care to younger children. (< 8 years old) Children aren't properly supervised and I'm not confident that they have procedures to address injuries to children, or react to a child reporting that he has been hit by another child. Furthermore, younger kids are frequently playing contact games such as dodgeball with children much older than them, which results in bullying, singling out, etc. (reported by my kid and other kids)

We had a birthday party there for my youngest child and the coaches and staff there went out of there way to help make sure everyone felt happy! I could tell how hectic eveything already was and I know we were adding to their stress, but the manager and coaches still went above and beyond to make sure my sons party went off without a problem. My kids have been taking classes here for a year now, and we've loved every one of them!

I play both pick up hockey and on a league. There are also 2 small soccer playing areas that are always busy. They serve food and even have some beer on tap. It could use some upgrades i.e. leaky roof, outdated bathrooms, and overall upkeep. But I love playing here.

Firstly, I want to say that I really like this facility. I have been to the XL Soccer World in Raleigh and Net Sports in Morrisville so I have some basis on my opinion. The XL Sports World has ample parking, and seating areas for parents are spread out and well lit. The rinks for hockey and soccer field seems well kept. The soccer coaches seem knowledgeable and I like the drills they run during practice, and the refs seem to be engaged and makes good calls. One thing that I don't like which is why I only gave 3 stars is the SMELL. As soon as I walk in, I am engulfed in the smell of old cooking oil. The rancid smell is soaked into my clothes by the time I leave. This alone is the reason I will not be returning to this facility.

We came for family skate night which advertised skating/games and family friendly music. It had no games nor music. Then the 2 employees sat back on phones not even paying attention. If it was run properly could be a decent place to have families to come on a Saturday night but not at this rate. Was not worth going at all.

Having outside leagues play in-house XL teams is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. Not to mention, they’ll let the kids play without subs for 40 minutes, while getting circles run around them by well coordinated leagues that have trained together consistently, unlike XL teams. It’s sad, and I’m sure it’s extremely discouraging for the kids. We will not be returning.

My son has been attending here for a couple years. The coaches are great! You can see what a difference good coaches can make.

Good space and excellent atmosphere, but the air conditioning and ventilation are often a bit weak.

Hockey coaches don't do much and they let young kids play in upper divisions that should not be there and they baby them for what some money. It's fun but the kids don't learn much, makes kids lose interest real fast which is a shame. 6 yr Olds spinning in circles in the 10-12 league shows something is lacking there but money rules

This is second session my daughter has started Sakting class in XL Sports Apex, i never felt coaches does there job with interest. All coaches are same, most of the times either they talk to each other or talk with kids. Didnt saw any improvement in my kids skill, if i would have trained her at home the time i spent would have been more better.

My son loves playing flag football there. The coaches are super nice and the facility is clean. We also like that it’s indoors so my son can play even when it’s hot, cold or raining outside.

My experience with XL in the past hasn’t always been great, and I feel they should invest in updating/fixing the facility, but they’ve recently made changes to the hockey program which have been beneficial. Doug started managing the league and has made things a lot more closely monitored and fair, and I definitely appreciate the positive changes that have come about through Doug being added as the Hockey Director here!

My 12 yo daughter attended camp here today where a boy her age slapped her hard in the face. When she told the staff, all they did was have the boy sit out for a few minutes. Another girl told my daughter that “he does this stuff all the time” and one of the counselors told me that he has a problem putting his hands on other people. They never called his parents, sent him home or anything. I will definitely never be returning to this place.

This is a great indoor environment for indoor soccer, ball hockey, and more. I love the surface of the hockey rink as it doesn't grind my stick down.

I'm being fair about this place so 3 🌟 's is just about right: 1. Is the place a State of the Art Facility? No. Is it a decent Facility? Yes. 2. Are the coaches jerks or impatient? No Are they attentive, strict, stern and want things done within the rules of the Facility? Yes. It's called structure, people. Your kids are there to learn structure and to play as a team and learn the rules. If they do that, they will have fun. No place is perfect but this place will do. Take it for what it is. The staff, ESPECIALLY Maddox, who's an instructor for Skating & Hockey, are trying their best. Kids are NOT easy to control, deal with, teach, instruct and talk to. Stay Positive.

My son has disabilities and my daughter does not. Both vote this place as their favorite for camp! The coaches are supportive and engaging and really know each child’s abilities and passions. Fantastic place and staff!

I go here for camp I just want to say why would you make such a big place then put 2 soccer field honestly one of them could've been a football field or a basketball court. XL think of other sports than just soccer and hockey. Oh if you go there they have the best nachos and cheese and hot dogs.
