Originated in 1995 and expanded in 2015, this is a gem in Baton Rouge. Ambiance, noise level and most important - the food. Chargrilled oysters - why were they so slightly different that made them so encouraging on the palate? Pepper Jack Cheese. Aha! The best I have personally ever tasted. We split the Caesar Salad. Wonderful. Pecans instead of croutons. Sea Bass was also split. Very good - light, inventive flavors. Delicious. Frankly this is a place that supersedes what one expects (or experiences) in Baton Rouge dining.

This gorgeous bistro is exactly what you would think it is. Food was reasonably priced and the atmosphere is perfect for time away with your loved ones. Would definitely recommend to people traveling around Baton Rouge.

Everything was amazing from the host to the ambience. The restaurant Is very cozy and dim. The food was excellent. The roasted duck was cooked to perfection. The char grilled oysters were yummy and huge. The ribeye was juicy even the next day. I will definitely visit here again and again.

French Market Bistro is a solid spot with a great atmosphere and tasty food. Their crab cakes and pork chops are lovely, bursting with flavor, and seasoned to perfection. We also ordered duck and shrimp egg rolls, which came with a tangy mustard-flavored sauce. The service is friendly, and the portions are generous. The dessert was a surprise; we loved the fruit tart. The servers were very quick with amazing service. The prices are okay, considering the food and ambiance. But hey, make sure you make the reservations before you go, as you might not find a place during the peak hours. You can also book it for a small party celebration as they have a room for that. Summing up, it's a great place with nice service and food.

We were a party of 8 for a friends surprise birthday, and we could NOT have picked a better place! The best part about it was that not one of us had ever been there, we went solely off of reviews and the delicious looking photos! So I’m here to tell you if your thinking about making this your choice too, don’t walk to it RUN😍 We made reservations (which they made a breeze) and From the moment we walked in it was nothing but positive/kind greeters, servers, managers, and some of the BEST food we had all ever had! One top recommendation from our table is the Pork Chop and the crab cakes! They were PHENOMENAL! Honestly can’t say enough GOOD things about this place🙌🏼

Celebrated my birthday here and AHHHH-MAZING! I can't express with words what a fabulous experience this was. The ambiance is amazing, room after room of welcoming dining comfort. Smiles from welcome in to table service. Attentive staff with a relaxed atmosphere, never rushed. Skip forward to the food...OH MY WOW. Simply scrumptious. Hope I get the chance to enjoy again.

This is a fine restaurant with good food and atmosphere. The menu is limited but all of the dishes are good. There are a few fusion dishes that mix Asian or Latin ingredients. The staff are very attentive. I gave it four stars only because the dishes are a bit overpriced.
