A
few
years
ago
I
would
have
given
this
restaurant
5
stars.
It
had
a
great
atmosphere
and
excellent
service
with
a
very
warm,
welcoming,
friendly
family-vibe.
It
was
was
also
very
busy
and
served
good,
fresh,
well-prepared
food.
The
last
few
times
we’ve
visited
we’ve
left
feeling
disappointed.
Twice
this
was
due
to
the
service
which
felt
unfriendly
and
unaccommodating.
It
was
the
little
things…like
asking
for
plates
when
we
ordered
pizza
and
begrudgingly
being
provided
with
these
(rather
than
being
answered
with
a
smile
and
an
“of
course,
no
problem”)…
like
being
served
a
dessert
that
wasn’t
what
was
ordered
and
then
being
charged
for
it
when
it
was
accepted
(staff
asked
if
we’d
have
it
because
it
would
be
otherwise
wasted
-
it
was
affogato)
.…
like
being
served
desserts
and
tea/coffee
and
at
the
same
time
being
told
we
had
to
leave
in
10
mins
because
the
restaurant
was
closing….To
be
fair
when
I
checked
the
website
the
following
morning
I
saw
that
it
said
that
closing
time
is
9.30
pm
on
Saturday
-
but
it
would
have
been
helpful
to
have
been
told
this
when
we
were
thinking
of
ordering
desserts.
As
my
husband
said,
it
felt
like
a
curfew.
Also,
to
be
fair,
Alex
(?…
hope
I
have
that
right),
a
long-standing
member
of
front
of
house,
always
provides
excellent
service.
He
still
works
there
but,
sadly,
we
weren’t
served
by
him
when
we
experienced
issues.
The
food
itself
was
good,
but
there
were
a
few
changes
in
terms
of
the
options
for
vegetables
that
left
us
with
the
feeling
that,
overall,
the
eye
of
management
is
currently
on
$$$
rather
than
the
customer
experience.
I
hope
that
these
issues
are
temporary
,
and
that
they
are
addressed,
so
that
we
can
start
to
love
this
place
again
PS
the
pizzas
are
excellent
here
…
the
best
in
the
area
and
a
fantastic
take-away
option.
This
side
of
the
business
is
5
star!!
The
above
review
is
just
for
the
restaurant
experience.
