There is unlimited street parking at the end of Tandara Rd. Park here for the walk. The path is good, starting as gentle switch backs then becoming steeper and rockier as you go until the last 100 m is a bit of a rock scramble. The path is quite exposed to the sun in places so a hat and water are important. Took about 1 hour 20 minutes on the way up and the same again on the way back.

Beautiful hike starting with a lovely fresh and clear river. It did take us about 3 hours there and back. Some parts are slippery with loose rocks so good shoes would be recommended. We kept thinking we had reached the peak but donโ€™t stop till you see the signs! The last part is rock climbing up to the highest rocks where the signs are. Moderate level of fitness needed. It was just challenging enough but not terribly hard. Stunning views at the top.

Once of the best hikes I've ever done... we arrived at the trailhead at about 7:00am, about 20 minutes before dawn, and made our way up... We reached the peak a little over 1hr later at a relaxed pace, meeting wallabies along the way. It gets a little scrambly at the very top, and takes some work on all fours for about one minute to reach the very top, and the result does not disappoint. The 360 views were incredible, as we sat and watched the sunrise fill the valley with liquid gold. In the distance is Lake Bellfield, Halls Gap's drinking supply, which we would canoe some hours later. Not connected to the other popular trail systems (Pinnacle et al), this hike gave a uniquely gorgeous perspective of the Grampians. Allow 3hrs to complete, be prepared to climb a little. Go do it.

If you would enjoy a quiet hike, this is definitely the place. It takes about 90 minutes to reach the peak if you need frequent stops. The view is definitely worth it and a beginner will definitely be able to handle this.

Loved this hike! Got to the top a bit too late for sunrise but it was still a treat - beautiful panoramic views. About 7km return with rock scrambling at the top with medium difficulty, if you get there early you can have the place to yourself (we did on a Saturday morning in summer!) and it means you avoid the heat. Saw an emu pair on the track too! Just donโ€™t forget insect repellent, I acquired some nasty March fly bites through clothing the way down. Canโ€™t outrun the thingsโ€ฆ

This is a excellent hike, you should take all the usual. Backpackers, water bottles and a snack. The walk is well defined, when you get to the first peak, you will get excellent views. The walk continues for another approximately 1.5 ks. Just be mindful that in summer or walker months, there maybe a a snake on the path sunning itself. The walk continues from there to Boronia Peak, the last 100mt is a bit of a scramble over rocks. But oh what a view. Fit people will take approximately 4 hr including a snack. Enjoy.

The highlight of the Grampians adventure is to stand at the top of Boronia Peak. Overlooking the national park and the town of Halls Gap at 360degrees. Make sure to start the climb as early as possible to avoid crowd.

That was a tough little run and then climb up a few rocks. Not somewhere I'd recommend taking kids or eldery it's a bit dicey to look out over Halls Gap but the trail head is super accessible from the main road out of Halls Gap or the track beside the stream there.

A good hike especially to watch the sunset, bit steep and difficult hike towards the end but it is worth it.
