The facilities themselves were divine, but a few of the staff were incompetent & wanted to let us know that we weren't welcome there. When we first arrived the main receptionist tried to imply that we were sneaking in, even though we had all our passes & are business owners who pay very generously to enjoy the luxury of their establishment. She was very passive aggressive & sarcastic to a point where we were very confused at what the issue was. After entry, she immediately left the desk to go & alert a member of staff where she told them to keep an eye on us throughout the duration of our time at the establishment. So we were basically monitored by this appointed staff member the whole time we were there. Towards the end of the spa day we decided to get a bite to eat, we ordered at 7.30pm, the kitchen closes at 8pm. The order went through fine, but minutes before 8pm we got a call to say our order had been cancelled. When asked "why?" the phone was hung up on us by a specific member of staff. After we got ready & asked to speak to a manager, the manager came over & insisted that the staff member told her they had been subject to verbal abuse, which was something they completely lied about to explain why they hung up the phone. Meanwhile the staff member in question hid in the back, knowing full well it was a lie. The manager gave us a refund & we left, hopefully never EVER to return.

David Lloyd falsely advertises it's 14 day pass membership by showing a child jumping into an outdoor pool. You would therefore assume that you would have access to the pool. I tried to cancel my membership after 4 hours of booking it and they refused to give my money back. They are only interested in getting your money. I would expect better customer service from what I thought was a reputable gym!

Too many details ignored such as: outdoor spa pool never hot enough; lounge beds have stains, no sauna kept at 72C, spa entry gate has been defaced & looking decrepit for months, some spa cafe staff have bad attitude, hear staff slandering openly clients in public. Ergo: not at all like a premier club! Not worth the money!!!

The spa here is fabulous. The facilities are amazing. The selection of experiences is on its own top level. The staff are all very helpful. The cold plunge pool was probably my favourite…

Over crowded we would like to leave but stuck in a contract no one gets back to you. The spa is a not relaxing any more over crowded and not worth the money as you can’t sit anywhere! Bravo David lloyd Oh my goodness the food area today was a disgrace !! No clean tables or seats it was really poor even a road side cafe would be cleaner Poor effort again !

2 stars feels harsh as we really enjoy our membership. The staff have ALL been very nice, professional and helpful, helping us as a family enjoy the Club. It's a costly club but the volume of guests doesn't match the exclusive price tag, its often over busy and very loud Some areas of the club are tired and not as clean as they ought to be. Bookings for creche are very limited and in huge demand, if you don't set alarms to book at 8pm, forget getting a slot for a week ahead, they need more slots to accommodate the demand. A guest pass as a part of your member benefits, is not exactly that, having paid a substantial annual fee, you are now required to pay £30 extra for a guest to use the spa, doesn't feel like a free guest pass or a member benefit! Pretty sure some guests will join, could easily be a benefit to DL. Like I say, 2 stars is harsh as overall its a good lifestyle club with excellent staff, but the things mentioned really do drag the great bits down and knock the edge off of the membership.

I had one of the most stressful day in my life in here! I’d never recommend this club to anyone. All facilities are nice but mostly not clean! Staff attitude is definitely a deal breaker. I wouldn’t pay £179 per month for people being rude to me! Sorry but would not use David Lloyd again!

Joining Farnham Club is the best decision I have made. I joined a few months ago, for a number of health reasons, but I didn’t expect the additional benefits. Upon entering the Club, the Reception team are there with a smile. I use the exercise classes mostly & they are second to none…the passion of the Instructors is unbridled, somehow they keep getting me & keeping me motivated! The Spa is the most beautiful, relaxing space I have been to. The facilities there are incredible & to offer full beauty therapies, is the best kept secret.

It's great health centre...all the facilities and classes are great. However... there are more and more people join the gym with limited parking space. we are about the cancel the membership but there is no reply, have been calling and emailing for weeks. but if you want to join the gym, sales team pick up the phone in 10 seconds. really hope the gym can do the same to the member rather than ignoring member's enquiry.

Quietly raised their price of a guest spa pass to £40…only a 33% price increase. Use to enjoy going once a month on my wife’s membership but wont be anymore. Pretty disgusting profiteering.

Terrible customer service, been a member for nearly a year, have tried to cancel due to problems at home, wouldn’t let me have requested a phone call over 5 times through my app have not had a single call to make changes to my membership as paying £180 a month for something I cannot use any longer, they wouldn’t let me cancel or reduce my membership, gyms all jam packed unless you go at 9.30 at night, Iv clearly stated I’m unhappy with the membership and have just been ignored. £2160 for a year! And couldn’t even get a little help when needed! And in the summer time all you can smell is sewage so you wouldn’t want to use the outdoor facility anyway due to sewers being across the road. There’s plenty more I could complain about, Save your money and go elsewhere! Would not recommend at all.

I joined David Lloyd’s in Farnham in March and it’s the best decision I’ve made in a long time. The spa is outstanding so clean and well maintained with superb facilities. I recently had personal training with Yasmin who was so knowledgeable and patient with this gym phobic lady. I can’t get enough of the place.

Probably the nicest David Lloyd I've used. Loads of amazing machines, great selection of classes, including my fave Blaze. Gorgeous outdoor pool and facilities, and the indoor spa is a dream. Only place that makes me want to exercise...

Wow - first time at the Farnham club today and what a club it is. Spectacular facilities with an amazing spa and also amazing staff to match. Special mention to Kim and Louise form the sales team for making me feel so welcome and also Genera Manager Chris. What a superb club and superb team.

Great club, very clean and staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Sam ( swim instructor) has been amazing and settled my son very well. He is always so happy to do his swimming lesson. India has also been amazing, always happy to help. Reception staff are always smiling and very welcoming.

Been a member a few months now and I’m glad I joined, I met with India who showed me round and got me started. I see her often and she always says hello, and helps me. The new gym refurbishment is great!

Jo Collins has raised the Blaze instructor bar at David Lloyd in Farnham. She pushed me and others and is so encouraging, whilst also making sure everyone feels comfortable and is reassured. I always get my PB in Jo's blaze classes and she goes above and beyond. My myzone belt ran out of battery and before I knew, mid workout, Jo had loaded a spare belt up for me whilst teaching the class! Really enjoy Jo's classes and wanted to say thank you for pushing me!

Aka Diane. George Taylor’s Karate/Boxing class on Friday evenings are a great way to improve your fitness and technique. No experience necessary (for beginners and intermediate- you work as hard as you want to).No contact/sparring - just you against your shadow 😜

Always a great visit when going to Farnham, especially since the gym refurb! What particularly stands out to me, is whenever I visit and Alex is on reception - I'm always greeted with the loveliest smile and welcome and she always goes above and beyond to answer any of my queries. Keep it up Farnham, these small things make such a difference to me !

Amazing Club! A wide range of facilities with unlimited classes included with the membership and use of the spa, great food and drink choices as well as lovely staff! One member of staff who particularly stood out to me was Kim - who was extremely accommodating and happy to help. I couldn't recommend David Lloyd Farnham enough.

Took me a while to build up to join because it’s quite expensive. Just had a baby and so having a crèche makes it easier to workout! I love it here. It’s more of a club than a normal gym, plenty more going on, you can hang out and have a coffee. I originally signed up for the spa too but cancelled that as wouldn’t have had time to use it - that was the right choice! All in all the staff are really nice and there’s a great vibe!

This isn't my local club but as I was visiting family I took my son swimming here, facilities are great especially for kids. Was a clean and very calming environment.

This place is great, there is a spa, a large swimming pool inside and outside, also a gym and a cafeteria restaurant

With the recent gym upgrade, it certainly has gained another star. The reception crew is always nice. The spa is wonderful, though it needs a fresh look.

Best David Lloyd spa I’ve been to!! They should make all of their spas at least as half as good!! Didn’t see a massive tennis area (maybe I missed or that was a conscious compromise) Nice gym with a view.

Had a spa day here with a friend for her birthday. Great facility, indoor warm pools, adults only outside pool with therapy jets, steam rooms, large sauna, cold plunge pool, jacuzzi, relation areas, hot beds, etc. Helpful staff. I had a great treatment, and a very nice lunch too

Farnham spa is so far my favourite also the staff are friendly and the spa closes at 10:45 pm

One of the cleanest David Lloyd Gyms I have visited. The pool was very very clean. Will definitely visit again!

Lovely place, very relaxed atmosphere and worth coming to even if you can't visit the spa. Some days I only go to gym and then work in the downstairs restaurant area - it has a nice vibe and a service.

Need better aircon in the gym, and it seems a bit unfair to close off the entirety of one children's pool for swimming lessons, meant all the family's with v young children had to squeeze into the extra shallow one. But very clean and the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful

This place is amazing. I've never experienced a more friendly and hospitable staff. The gym and spa are always immaculate, but can be busy. I've never had a better experience at a gym and spa.

Pre pandemic the gym was great, plenty of tennis options and classes. The past year has seen a huge decline in tennis classes if any, fewer evening classes and seems to be focused on becoming a crèche and kids club. Adult swimming hours very limited and I no longer attend on weekends. The spa was once a relaxing and peaceful place worth the platinum fee, but seems to be an 18-30s hangout while Magaluf is closed for business. If it seemed the management was making any effort to return it to the fantastic gym it was I’d be renewing but for £170pm it’s no longer value for money.

Staff do their best and the facilities are kept in a good condition. A great place for families.
