The bossam was amazing along with the tonkatsu. All of the food was good and our server was very kind

Any menu you order, it comes with a few(about 15) side dishes. Maybe it's one of the reason why it's 2-3 times more expensive than ordinary Korean local restaurants. The side dishes may be enjoyable for those who new to Korean foods. But for some menu(like Jjambbong) those 15 side dishes are not necessary, even a mismatch. It seems better to separate the side dishes from menus. This places' food tastes and qualities were comparable with inexpensive Korean local All-you-can-eat restaurants. But as this place is not in Korea but in Spain, I think it's a good place for who wants to experience Korean-style home meal. They weren't localized(or Spainized) Korean foods but real Korean tastes.

So much fun, and amazing food! If you want a new experience that's different than most restaurants you'll find in the center of Madrid, COME HERE! The owners are from Korea and will give you the most authentic experience possible (they even taught us some words in Korean!) All together a great experience that I 100% recommend for anyone (couples and family).

So. Good. Their sundae is among the best I’ve ever had. Gamjatang was good too. Totally unexpected to find authentic Korean food in Madrid. Also to those who are complaining about the free side dishes - like seriously? Their banchan dishes are soo good and cooked perfectly. Just learn to appreciate authentic Asian food, for once.

As someone who has Korean food often in NYC, I was excited to find a Korean restaurant. I missed my route and was so happy to have some comfort food. The staff service at Gayagum is welcoming and friendly. I ordered a kimchi stew and beer. The stew lacked flavor, and it looked so sad. Their banchan wasn't good either. I've never had dry flavorless kimchi. It was a disappointment.

Disappointed- read the reviews so was excited but it was a dull culinary experience. Staff have no warmth. Functional at best. Food is ok but bland. The chicken was supposed to be picante but had little heat. The side dishes were all too similar in flavour. The dumplings were tasty but generally the food was overpriced for what it was. Go to Han over the road. Much better. And a lot more welcoming.

🍽 Food: 4/5 🤵🏽‍♂️Service: 3/5 🪑Ambiance: 2/5 (Storage everywhere) 📝Notes: I was a bit disappointed with the restaurant as a whole. It’s not vibey at all. The place feels a bit depressing. The food was okay, I went with my Korean friend and we both felt that it doesn’t represent authentic Korean cuisine. I do hope they really remodel the whole restaurant as it has the space and potential to be the best.

Great service, the place is very spacious and the food was good, lots of banchan (side dishes).

Great service from the owners. They give quite a lot of side dishes and when we ordered extra rice bowls they even took them off the final payment just as a kind gesture. We had bibimbap and the cold noodles(냉면). The place is quite spacious

Attentive and friendly service! We sat down and it became super busy! Food is so tasty, healthy and fresh. Menu reminded me of back home. So many vegetarian and vegan options! Highly recommended!

This was such a memorable and wonderful evening with such plentiful food for such good value, tasty on top of that. And great personal service in a family-run restaurant. we would go back in a flash. Great place in a city full of quite mixed options for Asian food.

After having lunch at presence at the restaurant, we ordered a potion of beef soup to take out for my daughter, and here are what she got in the bag. Full of delicious and fresh side dishes( 6 kinds of side dishes like Chines cabbage Kimchi, Radish Kimchi/ salad, bean sprouts, cured beans, fried anchovies, mixed spinaches) and main beef soup ( almost 2 portions). But I was vey touched that she had packed a steamed HOPANG - which is steamed bun stuffed of red beans, and takes very long time to cook and make the perfect taste of red beans to use inside the type of bun - for my daughter. When we Live as expats we miss small heart- touching or human- connects, and I love when I sense the feeling of tastes of caring. Very human-like. Recommended !!! Order and take them out and then enjoy Korean authentic food at home with your family !!!

Very disappointing experience. Dishes are not hot, probably pre-cooked food and plated when served. Food wasn't fresh, had stomach ache the following morning. There are better Korean restaurants in Madrid.

You know it’s the right place when you order one dish but you get 12 side dishes.

Delicious authentic Korean food! Reminds me of my mom’s cooking back home. We ordered the Menu Gaya (25€ per person) and it was so. much. food. (And tasty.) Definitely worth it. Much cheaper than ordering individual dishes if you want to try a little of everything. The space is traditional with heavy wooden and leather chairs and tables. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Korean food in Madrid’s city center! Pictured: bibimbap, galbi, japchae & varied banchan. Not pictured: 2 soups with rice (we got kimchi jigae & sundaeguk — preferred the jigae).
