You feel at peace after seeing the huge idol of Ganesha with Narasimha Swami. This majestic Sri Bayalu Ganapati idol was consecrated in 1475 by Gullappanayaka, brother-in-law of Madakari Nayaka of the Kamageti family of Chitradurga. Ganesha idol has several names- Bayalu Ganapathi, Prasanna Ganapathi, Togudale Ganapathi. At the back of Ganapathi head is form of Mother Parvathi, we will be able to see beautiful carving of Pearl with long hairs which are always covered with home-made butter offered by the devotees visiting the temple. On the right side of the idol is Narasimha Swamy. "Sarvejana Sukhino Bavanthu" πŸ™

One of the very old temples in and around the place. Situated at almost 230km away from Bangalore, this statue seems to exist since 1475, with the temple being constructed only 20 years back.

Visited this temple couple of times. Simplicity of this place is all that attracts me. It's about 34km away from Chitradurga and buses are available to reach Holalkere. Well maintained temple but locality is still undeveloped.

Huge lord ganesh temple...Worth visit with family and friends...Better to travel by bike as the road to temple is narrow and purchase necessary things at nearby circle only as there no shops near the temple..

This Ganapathi temple is 1450 years old. One should not miss going around the huge idol. It has mother Parvati's back with a long plait inscribed beautifully on it. Lord Narasimha Swamy is also found on the Ganapathi idol. This temple is very famous.
