A must visit place for everyone . We need to visit this place and get to know it and if possible we can donate too . Nowadays every weekend many youths visit pubs and restaurants and enjoy but they need to cultivate a habit to visit this kind of places too . We need to rejuvenate . You always feel pleased when you give something to others and see the happiness on there face ☺️. You can have prasada there only at the matha but only request is please do not waste the food . How much ever you feel you can ask and eat . But do not waste the food . If you waste they will make you to sit again and they make sure that you complete it .🙏🙏🙏

One of the unadulterated places in Karnataka. We visited mutt at 11:00am, for our fortunate we could able to meet Mahaswami. Received blessings from mahaswami and continued our way to have prasada (lunch). Not to forget the people around this mutt who work here. They are so humble and down to earth. Really felt happy 🙏

Siddaganga Math in Tumkur was established several centuries back. Educational institutions are attached with this Math and thousands of students get education and residential accommodation here. The campus is huge and well maintained. There is a Shiva temple over the hillock. There are stairs to reach there. Free food is served to the visitors and they can donate too. There are few stores that sell mementos. I visited on a hot sunny afternoon. But from what I have heard that on main Hindu festivals like Shivaratri, there is a lot of celebration around and lots of visitors come here.

It was a great experience visiting this matha. They have built a temple for shri siddaganga swamy. Food is being served for devotees. Lot of students are freely educated and freely fed. A great place to spend a day with family. Not so crowded in after noon

The history of this math starts from early 15th century from Siddeshwara Swamigalu. Then many came, but it's very popularly known from one Swamiji in our generation Dr. Sri Sri Sri Shivakumara Maha Swamiji who took deekshe at early age and become head seer when he was 34. He started many societal welfare programs and education programs. Providing free education, food and shelter for more than 10,000 students. All credit goes to Shivakumara Maha Swamiji who consistently worked towards the development of math. So called "Nededaduva Devaru". This math is backbone for many educational institution and training starting from nursery to Engineering, next year Medical college and Reaserch Institute. Math is very vast and spacious, consists of Temple at the Top of the hill, Conventional hall, Prayer Hall, Art and museum, school and College, guest house etc... Every one in here is treated same even though it comes under Lingayat's caste. Work is worship is their motto. Even today they serve more than 15,000+ people free food. This math has an record of serving food for 40 lakh people in a single day. Very authentic feel and proud moment for kannadigas especially for Tumakuru peoples. Must visit place for everyone atleast once in their lifetime.

This is a Lingayat Math well renowned in Tumakuru. There is a Shiva Temple inside the campus and an attached educational institution. We visited during Mahashivaratri festival when the math attracted large crowd of devotees. All the students were seated in the main area and the view was quite inspiring ! There was ample parking space and various options to grab a bite and buy gifts for your loved ones. The area is huge and the location is quite scenic with a hillock nearby.

Sree Siddaganga Mutt is an ancient and one of a kind Gurukul, situated in Tumkur, amidst the beautiful and serene landscape. It is about 63 km from Bangalore. The mutt’s aim is to provide service to the needy and to the poor, and this has been successfully carried out. The Shree Siddaganga Mutt offers education to more than 8000 poor children, between the age five to 16 years, with free food and shelter and is exempted from discrimination, and is open to children of all faiths and communities. The mutt also has a school for the blind with more than 100 blind children and offers free education, food and independent hostel facility. There are plenty of buses and taxis plying from Tumkur. Travelling in KSRTC bus from Bangalore to Tumkur will take about two hours in a car.

Very calm and peaceful place. A sacred place where thousands of students study at no cost. Temple of Siddhaganga and siddhalingeshwara is situated on top of hill. We can see large beautiful structures of Lord Shiva and Nandi. An amazing one stone carving of Nandi which contains carvings of Basavanna and Shivakumara Swamiji can also be seen. Food is served from 7am to 11 pm for visitors. (No entry fee)

I didn't disliked it, I was expecting a good mutt to sit in silence and attain inner peace. This place is filled with students who get free education , food and shelter. Many poor families are benefitted with this.A mutt with large temple or hall for meditation or lectures would have been better for visitors.

The place is will definitely give you a peace of mind one way the history of the temple is just simply great The charity work that the temple does is another great thing I had just heard about their educational that they provide food quality education but when I visited the temple I got to know about the discipline that the students maintain there In a school where thousands students study when the classes are finished for the day the students exit their classes in an orderly manner nobody will be there to overlook the on children. Just a great experience and people how visit hear shivgange temple is also nearby where it will be a little adventurous and fun

A place where thrivida (education, shelter and food) dasoha happens every day for more that 10000 poor children. Siddaganga Math has various education institutions such as primary, secondary and high schools and blind schools, pre University Colleges,. ITI, deploma Teachers colleges and many more. We have the best Sanskrit schools and colleges here. I'm proud to say that I studied here and what ever I'm today, it's because of Sri Siddaganga Math and the blessings of Sri Sri Sri Sivakumara Mahaa Swamigalu.
