A Divine Experience at Shri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthana Dakshinamnaya Shri Sharada Peeta Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 stars) I recently had the privilege of visiting Shri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthana Dakshinamnaya Shri Sharada Peeta, and I can confidently say that it was a truly divine and enlightening experience. I was greeted with a serene and spiritual ambiance that instantly put me at ease. The temple itself is a magnificent structure, beautifully adorned with intricate carvings and architectural marvels. The attention to detail and the craftsmanship are truly awe-inspiring. What struck me the most during my visit was the overwhelming sense of tranquility and devotion that permeated the air. The priests and staff members were welcoming, knowledgeable, and more than happy to answer any questions I had. Their dedication to their duties and their deep-rooted spiritual knowledge were evident in every interaction. The highlight of my visit was the opportunity to witness the evening aarti ceremony. The soul-stirring chants, the rhythmic ringing of bells, and the fragrant incense created an atmosphere that was truly ethereal. It was a moment of pure bliss and connection with the divine. The temple complex is meticulously maintained, with clean surroundings and well-manicured gardens. The facilities for visitors, including restrooms and seating areas, were also well taken care of. Furthermore, the Peeta's commitment to social welfare and education is commendable. Their initiatives to promote literacy and support underprivileged communities truly embody the teachings of compassion and service. My visit to Shri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthana Dakshinamnaya Shri Sharada Peeta was an experience that touched my soul and left a lasting impression. I wholeheartedly recommend this spiritual haven to anyone seeking solace, enlightenment, and a connection with the divine.

Divine and ancient temple. No words to describe the beauty of Sri Mutt, Sri Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Saradamba Peetham, Sringeri. Many temples are there inside - Goddess Saradamba temple, Vidyasankara(Lord Shiva), Lord Rama, Adi Shankaracharya temple, ToraNa Ganapathi temple, Sri Subramanya temple. When you cross the bridge over holy Tunga river, you will get Sri Guru Nivas and Adhishthanam Mandiras. Acharya darshan is at Guru Nivas. Sri Chandramouleswara Pooja is done by Guru Acharyas every night, devotees can have darshan of the Pooja. You can buy rice flakes to feed fish in the Tunga river. River is holy, please do not pollute it. Books and other spiritual items are available for buying at the temple store near Adi Shankaracharya temple when you exit. Annadaanam Prasadam is available.

Ancient temple with a rich culture and beautiful achitecture.First maṭha (Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peetham) among the four mathas established by Adi Shankara in 12th AD. Situated at the bank of river Tungabhadra. This is an abode of Goddess Sharadha Devi. So parents visit along with their children to get Diksha and to get blessings for education. Most peaceful and calm place ever to relax and meditate.

The Shankaracharya of the Sharada Peeta is regarded as the spiritual leader and guide for followers of Advaita Vedanta. The position is held by a learned and enlightened scholar who upholds the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya and provides guidance on matters of spirituality, philosophy, and religious practices.

Very Pleasant and Peaceful Temple 🔱. Great Infrastructure and Beautiful Design. Located amidst Sahyadri hills, Sringeri is renowned for the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, the first matha erected by the Hindu Guru Adi Shankara. This famous Sringeri temple is the major reason why visitors from around the world put Sringeri on their bucket list.

Temple is near the bus stop (walkable distance of 10 min). Rooms are available here from the temple side as well as privately held hotels. Rooms provided by temple facility is neat and clean. Within temple premises there are various other small temples, main temples are sharadamma temple and Jagadguru Shankaracharya sannidhi. Darshan of Jagadguru Shankaracharya is available from 11.30 AM onwards. River Tunga is very close to temple, and is available to take a bath. Outside the temple premises cleanliness should be maintained, tourists have littered the places. There is also Prasadam provided both afternoon and evening time.

The 8th century Great Temple, established by Adi Shankaracharya, is a holy place that is highly revered by those who understand the spiritual significance of such places. It is a place of tranquility and peace, and many people feel privileged to visit and pay their respects. The temple is well-maintained and is a popular gathering place for Hindus, particularly for certain sub sects. It is also a place where Bhajans, Kirtans, and Homaas are performed, and where people bring their children to receive education in the Akshara Abhyasa tradition. Overall, the Great Temple is a sacred place that is deeply meaningful to many people.

Must visit this magnificent and ancient 1400 year old place, seek the blessings of Sri Sharada (goddess of learning and wisdom). Established by Sri Adi Shankara around 7-8 century and continue an unbroken lineage of renowned gurus. Also see and seek the blessings of the renowned peetadipathi Sri Bharati Teertha and the young pontiff Sree Vidhushekara Bharati (future peetadipathi). Attend the evening (8:30PM) Chandramouleshwara aradhana wherein abishekam of the ancient Sphatika (quartz) Siva linga given by Adi Shankara is performed. Don't forget to go down the steps to the sacred river Tunga. The lunch or dinner Prasad is only rice with some watery stuff thrown into your plate by some I'll mannered staff and you may have to sit on the floor and eat.

Great Spiritual Place with a Divine history. Along with Sharadha devi temple, please do visit the Sri Mutt established by Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya centuries ago. Devotees need to cross the Sri Vidhya Teertha bridge which connects temple to the Sri Mutt. Everyday around 8:30 PM Jagadguru Sri Bharathi Teertha Mahaswami Performs Abhisheka to The Chandramouleeshwara Linga which was given to Adi Shankaracharya by Lord Shiva himself and currently residing in Sri Mutt, Sringeri. It's a must watch by all devotees seeking the blessings of God and Guru at the same time. Sri Mathre namah 🙏

Very very beautiful place to worship. No plastic zone I think ...I dint see any plastic packing or usage. Two Matt elephants and white horses are there inside the temple which will be loved to see by children. Extremely maintained premises as it is a peetham. The route from shimoga is good but from udupi it is very tuff and lots of hairpin curves and bumps.

Temple is divine and pious. Events like Pravachanam and classical singing are regularly organized. Healthy and delicious South Indian prasadam lunch and dinner , they are free of cost. Accomodation is available right in front of the temple. With general stores and vegetarian hotels. Priests, staff and are polite welcoming. Not sure rush in Devotees with a very pleasant attitude. Request every devotee in the future continues to be the same that helps maintain a long lasting divine experience to everyone around. Good security around.

Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada established the Lord Shiva Temple and Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, the first of the four Amnaya Peethams of Shankara tradition, at Sringeri more than twelve centuries ago. Temple is at the bank of Tunga River, lots of fishes are also present, tourist usually feed them and enjoy the beautiful site. There is dormitory(free) there also guest house, so according to one's ability one can choose where to stay. There is temple of Lord shiva, Sharda Devi, Yajna Mandapa and various other small temple inside. Free prasadam is served there both in morning(9-12) and evening.(7-9). There is one small traditional hotel opposite to prasadam hall gate on temple where food without onion- garlic is served at very reasonable rate to the devotees. Apart from this one can have there food in various hotels and restaurant there in sringeri. Prasadam served in by Matha is also decent and delicious. Nice Bridge 🌉 without any pillar is there on the east side to gopuram. Sringeri Bus stop is nearby only 800m. These are all on the Northern bank of river. On sothern bank, again one can go via a bridge(walking) from inside temple or there are other way also if one wants to go from vehicle. There is again Temple Mathas and institutions of Shankara Schools. Usually this side is visited by traditional brahmana and priest connected with this temple and brahmana in Shankara tradition. This part is very beautiful place but usually out side tourists hasn't much access only people for karmakanda and brahmana boys education is done this side or sometimes meeting of Shankaracharya held here and class by various leading monk in this Amnay.

Wonderful just mesmerized with this place. There is nothing better than this spiritual place. Superb location however hotels and food can be limited. You may not have good hotels but it is worth going here. Took the bengaluru-hassan-sringeri route and the drive was just fantastic. Someplace there are broken roads but plan better, the trip should be fine. Can't wait to visit again.
