Serene temple nestled amidst the western ghats. Even the way to this temple is picturesque. You can donate rice to Annapoorneshwari here. You can also get Anna Prasdam during the afternoon meal. The hall was very clean and hygienic. Food was scrumptious.

Fortunate to go to this temple again. This is one of my favourite temples anywhere in the world. This time I stayed over in Horanadu instead of Sringeri. This was a good decision as I could go to the temple in the evening around 5 pm instead of mornings. There is very little queue inside the temple in the evenings. Got to spend a full minute infront of the Goddess. No one forced us to move. Great darshan. The location is amazing. The drive to this town is just awesome. Recommend all to visit.

Peaceful and serene. The temple is located in a beautiful place. Road to the temple is filled with tea/coffee estate both the sides. Needs to be little more hygienic. "People from different states especially from Tamilnadu should be thought about hygiene. You are always welcome to visit our temples in Karnataka but please maintain cleanliness and act as civilised human".

This is a beautiful temple. It has lot of religious and holy faith. You have to offer rice there. There is lot of crowd and queue in the weekend and morning time. There is proper arrangements for washroom and toilets for pilgrims. They offer free breakfast, lunch and dinner, which is a must have. The way to reach the temple is very beautiful and scenic

Goddess Annapoorneshwari murti worshipped in the temple is in standing posture. She holds Shanku, Chakra, Sri Chakra and Devi Gayatri in her four hands. The murti is made of gold. It is believed that those who have darshan of the murti here will never go without food.Adi Sesha surrounds the Garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) of the temple and the Padma Peeta constitutes of Kurma, Ashtagaja and others deities of Hindu pantheon. Males have to remove the shirt before entering the shrine. You can have a meals on afternoon which was very tasty and blissful.

It's believed that temple was built by Agastya muni in 8th century. This temple in the middle of thick forest. It's godess of food. Where every visitor will get food for free. They have maintained temple very nicely and they have temple rooms also. Nearby there are few lodges which is decent. You must try temple food atleast once. They perform ranga pooja and maha pooja daily which very amazing to see.

This is our second visit to this temple (26th Sep 2022) it was such a beautiful experience. The First visit was during last year October the holiday season, and it was so chaotic we stood in the queue for more than 4 hours, the dashan was also so rushed, didn’t enjoy it at all. But this time we just walked in, and did the darshan 2 times....it was amazing. Morale of the story if you want a peaceful visit, have the kids take off from school and plan the visit during non peak season.

From Sringeri to Horanadu, there are 3 alternative routes. None is good. It is a single lane road with valley and hill on either sides. Vehicle crossing must be planned upfront. Many land slides happened but were cleared when we went. This ghat section is something one should drive to get confidence😊. Keep covers in car. Someone is bound to vomit 🤮 because of road curves. Temple is awesome. I couldn’t see any photo of temple timings. But, it is told that temple is open till 8:30pm. As usual, there is a darshan break in the afternoon. We were told afternoon 2-4pm is closed for darshan. I would suggest to visit this temple before 12pm because of the road condition. Also, most of the route is not having network coverage. Sign boards and people are very minimal. So, when you get signal, get directions in google maps and that will help. Imagine the road condition when google says that 1 hour 40 minutes is needed for a 50km distance.

Review: Adhishakthyathmaka Shri Annapurneshwari Devi Temple - Horanadu Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) My visit to the Adhishakthyathmaka Shri Annapurneshwari Devi Temple in Horanadu was an unforgettable and spiritually uplifting experience. This renowned temple, dedicated to Goddess Annapurneshwari, radiates an aura of devotion and serenity that touches the soul. The temple's location amidst the lush greenery of the Western Ghats adds to its charm and creates a tranquil environment. As I entered the temple premises, I was greeted by the soothing sounds of devotional hymns and the fragrance of incense, instantly creating a sense of peace and reverence. The architecture of the Adhishakthyathmaka Shri Annapurneshwari Devi Temple is remarkable. The intricate carvings, elaborate gopuram (tower), and exquisite sculptures showcase the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. It is evident that the temple has been designed to inspire devotion and reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region. The main deity, Goddess Annapurneshwari, is believed to be the bestower of food and nourishment. Devotees offer their prayers and seek her blessings for sustenance and abundance in their lives. The priests and temple staff are well-versed in the temple's rituals and are always ready to assist and guide visitors with utmost warmth and kindness. One of the highlights of my visit was the Annadana (food offering) program conducted by the temple. The temple serves free meals to all devotees, irrespective of caste or creed, reinforcing the spirit of inclusivity and service. The prasadam (blessed food) is not only delicious but also prepared with utmost devotion and hygiene. The temple also houses other shrines dedicated to various deities, providing a comprehensive spiritual experience. The ambiance inside these sanctums is serene, and the melodious chants and hymns create a profound atmosphere of devotion. The management of the temple deserves appreciation for their impeccable maintenance and cleanliness. The temple premises were immaculate, and the surroundings were well-maintained. The facilities provided for devotees, including restrooms and seating areas, were also commendable. In conclusion, the Adhishakthyathmaka Shri Annapurneshwari Devi Temple in Horanadu is a place of great spiritual significance and an embodiment of divinity. The beautiful architecture, serene atmosphere, devoted staff, and the Annadana program all contribute to a profound and enriching experience. I highly recommend a visit to this temple to seek the blessings of Goddess Annapurneshwari and to immerse oneself in the spiritual aura that prevails there.

One of the elegant, marvelous and monumental statues of Annapoorneshwari Devi you will ever see. The entire idol here is dressed with pure gold and charming attire. The temple serves food for everyone for lunch and dinner. Also this temple provides a low cost accommodation facility for all the pilgrims. Surrounded by hills and greenery, this place is one of the beautiful locations in Karnataka.

Very well maintained and managed temple and premises. Do book the rooms in advance if you have plans to stay as the availability of rooms in the area is limited. We were very blessed to get an amazing darshan of Devi and other deities 🙏

Nestled in the deep Forest of Western ghats in a quaint place called Horanadu. This is a cool small village with high mountains around. The temple has a charm of simplicity. A simple temple town. Temple is at centre of everything. It is must for everyone to eat at the temple annadaana satram before going inside the temple. The deity is goddess personified. Nityanandakari Varabhayakari Saundarya Ratnakari as composed by great Adi Shankara.
