F & B service was excellent & food was delicious. Property is well maintained. wanted to give 4.5 stars but no option of it so giving five. Area of improvement - room & outdoor play area for kids needs slight maintaince. A piece of suggestion- start spa services also. ____ _____ A very serene place with a very nice surrounding altogether. They have different kinds of backgrounds all around, so your pictures will come out beautifully, you will get tired of getting pictures clicked anyways. An open green lush area, with a beautiful surrounding on all 4 sides, it just gives you a seperate feeling altogether. They have different bunches of colourful plants at different areas which gives a very positive and a colourful vibe.

We visited this place for our wedding anniversary celebration. First experience at reception was not so good. These guys are very poor in reception hospitality. If you guys are reading, kindly try to improve on this point. They showed us different room types as well as facilities and these all were awesome 👍. You can opt from luxurious tent to private pool villa. Kindly note only one thing THEY WILL KILL YOU with their tasty food , literally , food was like heaven. And room service was like 7 star rating. They all deserve this.

Staff was extremely courteous and looked after us so well. We had amazing time at Gaj Retreat. The off road trip to the river crossing was great fun. Would definitely recommend. I must say the whole vibe is just so positive....loved it. Best place for couples, family and friends.

The resort is really good. Rooms are not good. You may find rats also staying along with you. Which made me shift the room but rat also shifted the room or new one was there. This keeps me awake wholenight. Food was good so 2 starts for food and room service only. Also, another good thing happened with me was i was locked outside. The room door was not opening even though the room wasn't locked so I had to call the staff eventually.

this place deserves no ratings at all but i am writing one to make sure none of you go there and experience the amount of torture i did. also, i understand this review is quite lengthy, but please read it before making a booking. additionally, please do read some of the other negative reviews as they might provide a different perspective. first and foremost, the rooms contain more insects than dust. we found a pile of dead insects in the bathtub. there were even insects crawling all over us while sleeping. i woke up with swollen hands. while using the washroom, insects even crawl into your bottom. thankfully we didn't take a room on the ground floor. if there were so many insects in the first floor, just imagine how many would have been on the ground floor! this reason can make you cancel your booking, but i have many more. secondly, the service is utterly ridiculous. we needed to order a bottle of water, and they sent it 2 hours later. they didn't answer the telephone after 4pm, which is absolutely absurd. third, the maintenance. we found a burnt stain of an iron on one of our carpets. while sleeping, the paint on the wall used to peel of and fall on us. the restaurant makes you lose your appetite to eat. i found more insects there than people. fourth, the food. forget about loosing your appetite because of the maintenance, you would fall sick when you see and/or eat the food. the chicken and lamb was uncooked, and the veg options were limited. if you were "lucky" enough to eat their vegetables, you would rethink your life choices. the only good food over there were those little packs of ice-cream. finally, the noise. in the middle of the night, we found people bursting crackers. we woke up terrified because we thought that they were bombs. this wasn't just for one night, it happened for five consecutive nights. i have many more reasons to not visit this place, but i belive these are enough. please do not go to this so called "retreat" as you will regret it.

Location is good. Property is good but very poor maintenance, bathroom drainage not working, no wardrobe in rooms, no hangers. Dirty pillows, insects crawling everywhere. Food quality is good. Overall except serene location, nothing positive. Not recommended.

Amazing property with the best food i have ever had . The place is so serene away from the city life. The staff was super cooperative and humble , service was super quick and the best part about me trip was the breakfast in the wilderness of the Jungle of Hoshiarpur. Perfect place to go for a vacation as well. A big Shoutout to this property

Visit at Gaj Retreat is fantastic n adorable, it’s memorable and must visit place. It’s just like heaven. The resort manager Mr Manpreet Singh is very soft spoken and very caring for guests, his attention towards guest is just like family member, & quite impressive. Food is very delicious n staff is very courteous n helping specially Mr. KAPIL receptionist at restaurant is courteous and prompt to deliver the food. He is the one the best person I have met during stay in any hotel. Overall experience is very good and also skipped the night Jungle safari, pending for next time.

Had a fantastic stay at Gaj Retreat. The eye catching surroundings and calming rooms made the stay relaxing. Also the night view at pool side is extremely amazing. Offroading experience was extreme and after that the river side evening tea and snacks.👌

It is good but not best. Many amenities are missing when we talk about luxury resort Pool was not clean. Rooms are not maintained. But i can say food was good although variety was less.

A beautiful resort just 2 hours away from Jalandhar. At village mansowal near garhshankar. Road is smooth but last 30 min drive from nangal chowk to resort can be irritate one due to bad roads. Property is beautiful one. Good for pics taking. 4 big pools with different depth for all age groups and many rooms with pvt pools. Coming to food first, no need to worry for food at all. They are serving all day three meals and evening tea and later on some snacks also in package and seriously their food is awesome. The guy Mr. Suraj take very good care of guests in restaurant and room service. Buffet has large variety and really delectable. Coming to rooms, all rooms are good deluxe or villas but don't go for rooms at right when u enter property numbering 501 to 503. They are not worth for what they are charging. No view there. That's not mentioned in their website also and u might feel cheated when u ll see that room in name of pvt pool room or they provide them for less prices as compared to rooms with name something like cheauteus. Its better u go for deluxe rooms if villas type rooms not available or not in budget. There was no dental kit and hair dryer in washroom. Packages start from 10k to 16k including meals plus 2k for extra bedding. Pools are good and worth for spending max of your time there. Greenery all over. Some adventure activities were also there like jungle safari type but for 7000/- Now coming to service, if we talk about front people, they all are good but most of their helpers are seem to be from near villages. They are not serious as much. One guy who came to deliver milk for my kid was using phone with other hand and keep on using even while delivering to me. I called four times to reception for good night refill. In restaurant, when there is rush, u ve to remind them again n again wat u need. Had to call three times to pick plates from room and in the end i kept outside my room and that was picked next day in the morning from outside. Well that was my honest experience over there during my one night stay. Full number for food and the way property built up. You must go there atleast once to enjoy peaceful outing.

This place deserves rating in minus but it isn't an option so i have to give a 1. The rooms were good but the problem was in the room 407(our room) the bathroom was unnecessarily big. No hand showers or even a bucket. Torn rags were being used as towels. Poor service. And not to mention the thieves. Around 18,000 were missing from my aunt's purse. My mom's charger and 5,000 rupees were missing too. The food was okay not too much variety. No front desk manager or anyone senior. My siblings say they saw an orange t-shirt man going into rooms and taking things. Management see into it. No wifi in tents/rooms only on the reception. The extra beds were way too hard. DO NOT GO!

Absolutely fantastic resort to visit your family or friends to celebrate any occasion. We had brilliant time and food was superb. Definitely recommend to visit.. It's a treat not to be missed I will give it 5 star rating

A really nice place with exceptional services offered according to location. Food was really good and staff behavior was nice. Start of the day with yoga/workout and a variety of options available in your meal times. One of my best experiences of staying in a resort.

Honest Review about the place. We stayed for 30 th and 31st. The staff including the manager is Non courteous and not at all cooperative . Was not given the room that we paid for. Room was stinking of wood. Sincerely requested them for room change inspite of genuine problem but they didn’t listen and took full money in advance. Also the geyser in the room wasn’t working and had to survive on cold water. Poor staff behaviour. Think before visiting.

an amazing property, food was exceptional and so was the hospitality. breathtaking views and ambience, totally in the wilderness is a complete value for money and service. highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a fabulous time and getaway from the hustle bustle of the city life

The hotel manager Mr. Dinesh singh is an extremely rude person. He was shouting and fighting with senior citizen guests which was shocking to see. When he was told to speak politely, he was blaming the guest that the guest was fighting. And he was seen fighting with 2 different guests on the same day. When I came to see the reviews here, apparently the same has been reported by other reviewers as well. Please avoid this place.

If you interested to feel the natures cool and green atmosphere, there is no place in India apart from this

It was an amazing experience at Gaj Retreat. It was way beyond my expectations. So close to nature and so peaceful. have a break from the hustle and bustle of the big or busy city, then Gaj Retreat is the best choice. A true jungle experience, off-roading, tea at river side in mid of no where... is out the world experience. The resort amenities are too good and the entire staff is very cooperative. Cherry on the cake is the food - taste and quality. They grow many herbs and vegies on their own - away from pesticides. Luxury tents, villas, rooms with private pools, what not this place has. An ideal location for destination wedding as well. I believe that destination wedding venue should be like this. All guests can do nothing but fully enjoy the ceremonies, comfortable and luxurious stay, pool side party, sumptuous food, dream decorations and locations for different ceremonies.

Hello management this is my first visit at your property. I came because I saw so many advertisements on social media but I was disappointed with your service. I booked villa room with pool and the price is way to much because pool was not cleaned as I went to reception and asked them to clean they said pool will be cleaned by tommorow. In activity room table tennis is broken table soccer was not in good condition to play. They served me 2 ,3 days old snacks like corn ND paneer Tikka I told them don't serve this to other people . My room pool motor was not working then they told me to use other rooms pool. There was no light ND no water after 3 am I went to the reception early morning they simply said sir wait for 1 hour . I did my brush with bottle water . This is luxury resort bt my experience with them is not so good. All the washrooms near poolside was not in good condition (not cleaned). Alwyz pay after your stay do not pay in advance . Positive side of this resort is staff is very humble ND we had lunch dinner ND breakfast who ever cooked this food thankfully for those chefs I don't want hurt anyone's business with my review but this is very important for all of us . Thanks

Staff behaviour was not good. There was no dental kit available, towels had holes and was dirty. Even the owner did not responded well to our complains and argued on top of that. Fights with customer is not acceptable. Overall experience here was very unsatisfactory.

Very nice place to visit with your family. It is quite nice place to shoot music videos and pre-weddings and also a fun place to hang out with your friends. They have chariots for horse riding, 4wheel driving for adventure in jungle and pool

Can't say that the location was excellent but it was ok kinds. Have been to better locations. The food was ok, nothing special. If you are a early riser and used to have tea then there is a problem because the staff doesn't come before 7.30 . I had no drinking water and it was only after 7.30 i managed to get drinking water so...rooms are good, big spacious, bathrooms as well. Breakfast buffet was normal, Omelette, watermelon, poori,idli and so on. I would rate on a scale of 1 to 5 ,it would be 3.5

Nice place within small village. Roads from Garhshankar to Resort need improvement but once you reach, it's nice location along with other recreation facilities for family members

Awesome place. Highly recommended. Great food, good service and very beautiful place. The place is located in the outskirts, away from the city. You can hear the sounds of nature, birds, peacocks, water and you can even hear the sound of the wind there. It is an awesome experience. Well worth the time and money.

First Washroom was not clean even no paper. Second pool water was not clean , I think pool is only for pictures ☹️ Waste of money totally if you are coming here. Location was good but think to visit again there. Food quality was average even tea cup was partially broken and not clean properly. Totally waste of time to come here and waste of money.

Recently i visited Gaj retreat resort with my fiancée I don’t know where to start with i mean everything was over the top. From Hospitality to their services. The view from the resort was mesmerising. We stayed in their private pool villa. Staff were on their toes to make our stay wonderful. The highlight was there food which was mouth watering and the kind of setup one can expect at dinner was breathtaking. They have this exotic dinner by the river which itself is a lifetime experience. Can definitely say that it’s a must visit for couples, family and friends.

Beautiful place to spend time with your family and friends. Beautiful atmosphere for photos . Excellent staff and authentic food just made my stay more comfortable and memorable. The rooms were spacious with all the facilities. Will surely recommend people to reach out this fantastic place.

The infra is good, well maintained but looks still in developing phase. The amenities are also ok. Food quality and services are very good. But the location is not that good. The road to the resort is almost not motorable and is so narrow that you end up stucking. Also the price the resort charges are exorbitant compared to the amenities provided.

Very nice place but the food quality is very bad literally you wont feed your dog with that food very low quality oil was used for preparing the there was no manager on site or owner checking the quality of food or checking the preparation please keep less item on bufet but atleast make sure they are tasty total bs resort . I would suggest to bring your own food if you want to visit this place .

The view from the hotel is nice, it is far from me but the property is nice and big, should bring young kids lots of activities for them such an enjoyable place, also the staff is decent and the food is good and great.

Condition of the road towards Gaj Retreat is very bad. Spending 10000 rupees per day is not worth. Food quality is okay
