One of the worst biryani ....its not biryani ..its 90% masala ..10 rice .....worst ever .. On top of that they will teach u how to make biyani. Manager will talk u extremely rudely.

The worst of worst south Indian dishes is at this location of Sagar ratna. South Indian foods are fermented foods with low to no spicy at all. They are good for digestion. But here at this location you will get the worst spicy south indian dishes. Be it dosa, idli, sambhar and they haven't spare the coconut chatni, that's too a lot of spicy.

Sagar Ratna as the name is famous, Food quality is good in Hoshiarpur's chain. Present in Amber Hotel at Tanda Bypass. Nice n Tasty Food, good staff n service. Always a wonderful experience eating here. But recent visit was a disaster. Visited around 10:15 n ordered dosa's. Masala was invisible in Masala Dosa. Lol. Ordered Dahi Bhalla n they came with Dahi Vada. Ordered Mix Lemon Soda, they came with the disastrous sweeeeeet soda, when asked to change it for salty, again they came with disastrous thing. So a bad experience recently but overall a good place.

Way too over priced. Wastage of your hard earned money. Not recommended at all.

Finally, I can say that the search for best South Indian Restaurant in Hoshiarpur has come to an end. It's Sagar Ratna and there are no contenders that even come close to it's variety, taste or authenticity. The fact that the service is fast and the restaurant well maintained, only adds to the experience. I couldn't have asked for more. All dosas in the special category should definitely be tried once.

Today we went to family dinner. When we visit sagar ratna we order veg platter every time and every time it is good. But ,from last two times we order it, it was messed up and there were only onions and the veg platter was very spice but , the service, quality and atmosphere was brilliant. From last two times I am very upset and I will never come here again and not recommend anyone to come here .

Fresh lime soda = Waste of money It seems like they are just giving 5 Rs ready made lemon flavoured powder sache in soda and charging 85 Rs for it . Preparation was also not good. Other food items were also not upto the mark as per brand name.

Sagar ratna is located on Hoshiarpur Tanda main road. There is good variety of different kinds of cousines such as sea food. Veg and non veg. Kids recommendable. There is a small bar restaurant on the top floor. Where youngsters can celebrate their small birthday parties. Parking isn't much bigger. Food quality is also good.

It's in the outskirts of hoshiyarpur city. As you enter Sagar Ratna you will feel a good south Indian vibe. There is a soft music always playing and the interiors are also very good. As far as food is concerned it is true value for your money as they serve you true south Indian cuisine which is very delicious. Staff is also very good and cleanliness is the soul of Sagar Ratna. Whenever I visited it was like a spiritual experience for me. They always serve you in steel utensils which I like the most.

Best restaurant in the city with good food. Have only been to the restaurant so can only comment on that. The food is like any good quality restaurants which are rare or I found none better ones at least in Hoshiarpur. The only slight drawback would be service is slightly slow.
