One of the most beautiful places that I hike.. this was an amazing experience, 4 days trekking going up to 3900m. Every night we slept at the same place and from there every morning we took different trail. We had a local guide 50 year old or more and he was the best thing we can get, so professional, we felt safe with him 100%. Looks like he born in the mountains.. he know everything.. simply a pleasure ! Highly recommend ! !

Easily one of the best day hikes i have ever done. I went in august and there were flowers blooming everywhere. The moment you see the lake you realize how beautiful it is. It has exceptional views of glaciers and snowy mountains. PS. The hike is slightly on the difficult side as the route is rocky.

It was a great trek, it takes a bit longer to reach the spot. It takes plenty of courage and motivation to complete the trek in a single day as there are 2 green hills and the rest are morons to climb them. Carry enough food and water while going there. Also, do not carry heavy bags with you. It will be great if you can start the trek early in the morning before 7, still you would be facing tanning. It needs at least 6-7hours to complete the trek if you don't take too many breaks.

Beas Kund has always been a famous trek around Manali. It’s hard to believe that such a hidden gem exists right above the bustling town of Manali. One of the reasons why trekkers love this trek is the setting of the trek.

What a surreal experience it was to climb to Lady Leg and look at Beas Kund from there! The whole trek walked us by the Beas river and we saw how the river expands. From the top at Lady Leg we saw the glacier that was pouring out water to the Beas Kund and how the river then continued on. Witnessing this phenomenon was one of the greatest experiences in my life! Pictures can't even begin to describe what the real experience was.

Its one Day trek if you start early you can arrive this place in 4-5 hours . No brek in this time.  altitude can reach up to 4000 m or more. On difficult treks, the chances of altitude sickness are high. The weather is constantly changing. If you want to night haut there you have to carry all things. There is no camping site .You have to carry your camps. Suggestion: travel with groups and guide it helps you . Water and food you have to carry with you there is no mid way shops and villages so try to carry all medical facilities also. This place is a origan of beas river. Sometime there is a army camps are there who can support you for suplement and food but try to carry foods. It it little bit mordrate trek Taxi are available from Manali and solang. Ongoing routes for sishu atul tunnel so dony worry about the vehicle from solang. Trek starting point is ongoing route from Solang to Atul tunnel

The place is so amazing, after trekking through big boulder sections, you get this such a wide plain area with multiple water streams running, multiple small waterfalls/streams and a small Beas Kund. And the huge snow covered peaks all around. Even after reaching the area, you will have to locate the kund, because it is not visible.

The mountains around are majestic making the view mesmerising. You can see Dhauladhar range on the left and Pir Panjal on the right. The kund has water melting from the glaciers from both these ranges.

Beas Kund is my favorite trek in Himachal as not only the destination is beautiful but the journey is beautiful too. The entire landscape is covered with colors here and the valley looks absolutely magical in the night. The lake also is quite gorgeous and sparkling clean.

Peaceful and beautiful place for nature lovers. It's our luck to see and enjoy such a heavenly place. Every trekker should consider this place in their list to visit. We took approx. 3 hrs to reach at beas kund from dundhi.

The Beas River (Sanskrit: विपाशा or Vipasha) is a river in north India.[1] The river rises in the Himalayas in central Himachal Pradesh, India, and flows for some 470 kilometres (290 mi) to the Sutlej River in the Indian state of Punjab.[2] Its total length is 470 kilometres (290 mi) and its drainage basin is 20,303 square kilometres (7,839 sq mi) large.[3]

Wow what a place , went to in 1994 while tracking from Solang Valley . Stayed near the river in a make shift Tambu . Early in the morning we went for Beas Kund tracking through glacier and a small river. When we reached Beas kund it was a lifetime experience. For a moment we couldn’t recognise that there is a lake but when we throw a stone than water makes some vibrations. Oh It was like sky on the earth . One must go their in his lifetimes soly when u r young because it takes a lot of effort and energy to reach that place

Great beginner's trek near manali which can be easily done is 2 days. You can reach manali by over night bus and get a cab to solang nala. Trek starts from here, currently there is construction work going on for a tunnel which will make leh accessible throughout the year so you can get lift in one of the many trucks transporting material to and from construction site. They drop near a bridge from where the trek path is well trodden and you reach bakarthach in 3 4 hours. If you have time you can do final few km the same day or do it the next day and return to manali the same day. The last few km are rocky and tough.

What’s the point of being in Manali without being in Beas Kund eh. The iconic landmark is a picture perfect location that reminds you one doesnt need to be in Europe or the Alps to experience snow in it’s full glow. I was stunned and in awe to be in this place and took a full 2-3 kms walk wandering about in viewing the amazing spectacle. Start early in the morning if you are from Manali as there would be lot of traffic to and fro from the destination. Visit Spiti valley too if you have the time which unfortunately I didn’t.
