Jang e azadi memorial is dedicated to the freedom fighters, this is the best war memorial i have seen in India, with superb architecture. Its having many galleries which shows different incidents happened in freedom fighter ls life. Located on National Highway with huge parking facility, few kms away from Amritsar and India pakistan Border. This place having cafeteria also, although we haven't tried anything there but that seems hygienic. Must place visit for children if you are going on route.

It's built on huge area. From outside its very promising design and location. There is no signs where to go and what to see first. Luckily it was Saturday and we were informed about the movie at ticket counter which started at half past two. It turns out to be very informative movie which helped us to understand about all the things displayed at museum. Although there are screens displayed through which you can play videos to understand the context in a particular museum. Museum no 1 was closed to our disappointment which we found after al the hassle to walk back to front. Good point was there were drinking water facilities clean toilets located all over the place.

War memorial museum in middle of Jalandhar Amritsar Highway at kartarpur. Great representation of freedom fighter sacrifice and glory of Indian history but mainly focused on role of Punjab in Indian freedom movement. There was several gallery showing the history in form of statue. There are some shows and seminar which was temporarily closed so I'm little disappointed with that. There was a cafe if you want to dig in some snaks you can pay and eat. Super sanitary facilities huge no. of toilets are available. The ticket for adults is 100 rupees which is little overpriced. Parking area is very wide and there was no parking fee.

Jang-e-Azadi is located at Kartarpur, Punjab in the Amritsar-Jalandhar Highway. It is a recently developed museum and is one of the mega projects in the state which is spread over 25 acres of land. It is a memorial for all the Punjabis who sacrificed their lives during the Indian Independence. It also gives a detailed picture of the culture of Punjabis and India. The architecture of the memorial is astounding with various amenities and artistries integrated along with it. The architecture of all the buildings are doom-shaped and is spread in a circular shape which is more exceptionally catchy. There is also a 15- minute 3D movie and a laser show using water curtain projection techniques, which is a picture of India’s struggle for freedom.

Jang-e-Azadi Memorial is a beautiful Memorial in Kartarpur. The ticket is Rs.100 for above 18 years. There are 5 galleries showing the history and sacrifices of our Freedom Fighters of Punjab through Wax Idols. They have a movie theater which is included in the ticket in which movie is played of Freedom Fighters of Punjab. The Jwala is lit in memory of our freedom fighters in between the menorial. There is also Cafeteria in the Memorial. The toilet and water facility are good. Parking is free. The place reminds the history and sacrifice of our freedom fighters. Must visit place for students and Families.

A huge war memorial located in Kartarpur on NH44 highway. You can visit while returning from Amritsar. Entry ticket is Rs.100 per person. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the galleries. They have a movie show on Saturday and Sunday. There's not much to see in galleries. Cafeteria is good. Parking space is available inside the campus. PS: Don't compare it with Amritsar war memorial. It is nothing as compared to it.

One of the best place to visit. All area is divided into Galleries with 06 nos. Right now the 01 is not open for visitors. From 02 to 06 have different sections including the audios, videos, miniature, display boards. All information is mentioned & available in all formats including videos. The main attraction is the video around 45 minutes. Which tell us our struggle for freedom. Sacrifice of our heroes made. The thrilling movement.

It's good to see our govt is doing some efforts to present our modern history in front of us in such a beautiful way. Everything here is well made and the details in the galleries are awesome. Although there are few suggestions if they can consider them, first of all the remaining closed areas of the museum should be completed and opened for public. Secondary, the library should be opened as well for public. It will be great if history books related to the events related to the galleries should be made available to buy.

Revisited again after 4 years and not. Much have changed other than a new pantry that is added. This place has soo much potential but is just lying stagnant. I hope government takes initiative to improve this property as there is such a great infrastructure that can be best used in many ways. What a Shame.

Nice place to know about punjab contribution towards indian independence the place is equipped with technological equipments like touch screens and other visual aids which children will find intriguing .the place is a architecture marvel also. It will take around 3 hrs to fully cover whole aspects of museum dont rush enjoy and learn every part of history on display . Five stars for the info and history this place provides, no doubt about it. It seems an important place but the maintenance is virtually zero. All the exhibitions were dirty, equipment broken. Grass had over-grown, leaves scattered around, glass broken. Tickets were not that pricey, just ₹100/adult. Ample parking space. It automatically evokes respect. In my opinion, it should be treated and maintained with equal respect and love that it represents. It is a must visit place.

The Jang-e-Azadi Museum in Punjab is a remarkable place to visit, and it is particularly well-suited for families with children. The museum serves as a living testament to the rich history of Punjab and the sacrifices made by its people during the struggle for freedom. One of the most outstanding aspects of this museum is its dedication to preserving the history of the freedom fighters. It showcases a comprehensive collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents that vividly portray the bravery and determination of those who fought for India's independence. This is not just a collection of items; it's a narrative of a significant part of India's history. The museum effectively communicates the sacrifices made by the people of Punjab. It does so through a combination of visual displays, interactive exhibits, and informative signage. This approach makes the history accessible and engaging, ensuring that both adults and children leave with a deeper understanding of the sacrifices and hardships endured by the freedom fighters. Moreover, the Jang-e-Azadi Museum provides an enriching educational experience for kids. It helps them connect with their country's history in a way that textbooks alone cannot achieve. The interactive elements and immersive displays make history come alive, fostering a sense of patriotism and appreciation for the freedom struggle. The overall presentation of the museum is of high quality, and it provides an informative and engaging experience. It is a place where you can spend hours exploring and learning about the struggles and achievements of Punjab's freedom fighters. The combination of historical significance, educational value, and interactive exhibits makes it an excellent destination for families and individuals interested in the history of India's fight for independence. Whether you are a history enthusiast or simply looking for a place to visit with your kids, the Jang-e-Azadi Museum in Punjab is a must-see destination.

Nice museum, worth seeing at least once ! The mistake I made is that I went on Monday and they play the movie only on Saturday n Sunday. There were like 60 school kids also there who came to see it in a bus and their chaperone requested to turn the movie on today for kids sake but the stubborn lady at the ticket window refused ! I think kids would have benefited by watching the video ! They need to be flexible about their rules !!

Very underrated place.. Should be advertised more to attract people. Inside Galleries, each section has touchscreens to give details about the respective freedom moments and struggles. Few galleries aren't opened yet. There is a movie show as well which we weren't able to watch due to time constraint. Overall a good place to visit.

Based on punjabi history and culture. Similar to what we have in Anandpur sahib. However, this is very immature as compared to that. 100Rs/person for only 6 art galleries seems to be to much for this. Giving three stars for the cleanliness maintained

Jang-E-Azadi memorial is dedicated to the freedom fighters, first of its kind in India, great architecture.Located on National Highway NH-1 in Kartarpur town just 10 KM away from Jalandhar city when you heading towards Amritsar. Place must visit with children so that they can come to know about our freedom struggle.

Completely Wastage of Money. Hundreds of crores rupees wasted on the statues. We can easily get information from internet which is available in this building. Govt. Of Punjab wasted money just to earn commission. I request Punjab government to convert this place into a Government Hospital or any Educational Institution.
