Trying out Hoskote Biriyani in the wee hours of the morning is an experience in itself. It is a extremely satisfying to have the warm biriyani in the cold Bangalore weather. There are a lot of options for Dum biriyani around Hoskote and we happened to chance upon Raj Dum Biriyani. The premises are very untidy and not aesthetically appealing at all. But the Biriyani and the chicken kabab was amazing. Even though the mutton biriyani was a bit undercooked, it was bursting with flavour.

Awesome kannadaiga biryani on the service road beside the national highway towards kolar. Bear the hoskote tool plaza. The biryaniis very tasty and the aroma is equally good. The quantity and price is great. For takeaways they give only raita for the biryani which basically mutton and there is no chicken in it. But you can ask for the gravy they will pack it for you for free. You also get traditional mudde oota or otherwise called as ragi ball. There is no delivery, You can dine in at this restaurant. And there is place to park your cars. Overall a good experience.

Good overall experience. Must say 4/5 rating for the hot food they serve all through out the day right from early morning to the evenings. They have a wide varieties unlike Famous Anand Dum Biryani. Must try mutton biryani, paya soup, kebab, oota, meals and fries. Pros: wide varieties, biryanis (hot served), cheaper in cost, big hall to sit and eat, neatly organised. Cons: nothing outstanding in taste felt so regular. If you ask me to pick Anand vs Raj Dum Biryani I would pick ‘Anand Dum Biryani’. Enjoy Karnataka authentic non-vegg food here at a lower cost.

Don't be fooled by the looks of the place.. If you do not want to wait in km long queues at other Biriyani joints , but still want to enjoy the Hoskote Naati Style Mutton biriyani, this place will not disappoint.. Having tasted Mani, Anand and Akshay Biryani, this is my go to place, as the flavours are more intense here.. Don't get me wrong.. the other joints also serve good biryani, but are they worth the long wait and hassle when compared to the Raj Dum Biryani? Definitely not.. Special mention to the nourishing Kaal soup.. it's simply delicious.. So go ahead and give this place a try.. Thank me later .. ;)

I had Chicken biryani which was ok in taste. The portion given in a plate is sufficient for 1 person. Chicken kebab was good.

Tasty and yummy. If you are planning at early morning, then this is the best place and order according to your need. As per today, mutton biriyani cost Rs.250. it's reasonable. Don't forget to try soup.

The food is really good.... Kebab n mutton biryani is the best and eat it while it's hot.... If you want to try items like leg soup better to visit the place in morning as by afternoon it'll probably be empty..... The taste is good, good quantity, good quality and low cost also.... Worth the money.... Easily can recommend to anyone who wants to eat some good Donne biriyani!!

This is one of the best places to have delicious Mutton Biriyani and Soup. They're open only on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. On Sundays, long queue is pretty common by as early as 6:30 or 7am, which includes men, women and kids. Many from Bengaluru and surrounding areas go on an early morning ride, just to enjoy the biriyani. Per plate costs you 190/- This happens to be my mother's hometown so every time we go and visit our grand parents, we for sure love to savour a plate or 2.

Generally I don't give reviews but this biryani is a full hype. 1. Biryani taste is not that great 2. Mutton is very hard aged sheep and too much of fat all waste pieces, 3. Quantity is less I can say half plate comparative to Anand Biryani Hoskote.

Worst biryani of my life. The pieces were chewy as rubber. Realised the hard way - it's all just hype!

This restaurant is located on the highway service road immediately after the Hoskote toll gate towards Kolar. We went around 2pm during weekday and there was a decent crowd. We ordered mutton biryani, the taste is yummy. Quantity is good. We find it difficult to get a parking space so we parked 300 mtrs away from the restaurant. There was a queue at the billing counter. If you are going on weekends there will be a big queue so get prepared.

Food is very good. And service is like they are not maintaining cleaning and they won't take used plates. And biryani is good.. You can enjoy it.

The place is packed for lunch. We tried the Mutton biryani with Goli soda. The biryani portion is good. Would like to come back and try few more of the items on their menu in future.

My favorite Hoskote Biriyani have visited more than 10 times , quantity was more compared to the quantity they are providing right now for the same price 330rs , try kabab and mutton biriyani, Leg soup is bit overpriced and for parcel they give very less pieces.

  • 4/5 Manoj Kumar R. 1 year ago on Google
Famous Hoskote Raj Dum Biryani. Last time this place had such a huge queue that I dropped the plan. This time afternoon and we were traveling to Kolar and found few people standing in queue. This is different biryani. Mutton biryani was really good. Must try if you are traveling towards Hoskote. You can get parcel and continue you travel. If you are lucky queue will be small. Try mutton biryani with chicken kabab.

Forget Anand and Mani, Raj has equally good (if not better) Biryani. And they have more varieties (mutton and chicken biryani) to go along with Mudde, Rice, Kabab, Leg soup etc. To top it all, they are open from morning to evening (6-4) on six days a week. So its pretty much like a regular dine in restaurant. Please don't go here if you are looking for ambience. But if you are craving Biryani and/or non veg, give it a try. And the drive to Hoskote is a bonus

A non-vegetarian hotel , where you get mutton biryani, chicken biriyani, kabab, ragi ball (famous in South India ) , rice ,etc chicken curries and mutton dishes. Taste wise I like the foods and I recommend you to taste chicken biriyani, ragi ball and chicken curries are good 😊👍🏻. It's near the hoskote toll plaza and you should go through the service road ..

Biryani is full of oil, this biryani is not good to eat even a little bit, please eat such biryani, we are ruining our health. If we eat biryani drunk with so much oil, we will have to suffer in the coming days

It's a great place to enjoy hoskutebriyani , even though other briyani joints close early or run out off food they serve briyani throughout. It's tasty and situated in a good place near the highway. They have a small parking lot.

This was our first visit to Raj Dum Biryani's, as we usually choose to go to Mani's Dum Biryani. The flavors here seemed similar to Mani's Dum Biryani but raj dum biryani is mildly spiced , with the main difference being that at Raj Dum Biryani, they offer tables for sitting. Both of these biryani spots are quite famous, with service starting as early as 5 AM. People often line up as early as 4 AM, some dining in, while others prefer takeout. There's also parking available near the restaurant. My mom even placed orders for her friends. So we ended up spending a significant amount of money 💰 on this biryani point We ordered: Mutton Soup 🥣 (4/10): Unfortunately, the mutton soup was overly oily and lacked distinct flavors, mostly tasting of pepper and oil. Mutton Biryani (7/10): The mutton biryani had a flavor similar to Mani's, but the mutton itself was overcooked, resulting in a rubbery texture. Chicken Biryani (9/10): The chicken biryani was a winner. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the flavor was top-notch. Chicken Kabab (8/10): The chicken kabab, although slightly overcooked, had a delightful flavor. The crispy curry leaf topping was a favorite. The location is a bit far from the busy city area, making it ideal for a long drive to indulge in a delicious meal 🍽️. We drove 30 km from our place just to try this. "Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. I hope you found them helpful. It's important to keep in mind that these are my personal food preferences, and the food's flavor can vary from day to day, possibly even improving or changing over time."

Nati style, the name tag on the boards which attracts the crowds. Great tastes, I have tried mutton biryani and chicken kabab which was so flavourful and tender, one of the best biriyani places in town.
