Will I travel 40 KMs again to eat this biriyani and stand in line at 5 in the morning? No. Since the time it became famous during the lockdown, this place was on my list. I went here on a weekday and hence didn't witness any crowd. The rates, honestly speaking, you get what you pay for, like quantity wise it's worth it. This place looks more like a shack with people standing in queue just to get that biriyani. I think the very reason why people come here is to see for themselves as to why this place was famous. True, it's a thrill to stand early in the morning, somewhere far from the city to get some biriyani, biriyani is a feeling afterall. One box of mutton biriyani was for ₹250/-, good quantity, good packing and all. The masala that they use in the biriyani is different. I wouldn't compare it to other biriyanis as every biriyani is different, their masalas are different, it would be a crime to compare this biriyani to the hyderbadi biriyani or let's say even the Awadhi biriyani, it's a different preparation, so let it be like that. Now, why did i say that I don't want to go here solely for the biriyani is because I tasted it and I wasn't super impressed by it. Say, if I'm in the area, then I might try and go here otherwise, no! The mutton was perfectly cooked, the mutton pieces to the rice ratio was perfect, nothing to complain. I would say it's worth trying once, or atleast checkout for yourself as to why people were standing in line for this biriyani. I would give the - Food - 3/5 Service - 3/5 Ambience - 2/5

Good place to visit once in a while after an early morning long drive from Bangalore. In my opinion, the biryani that they and their competitors in hoskote serve is more of a pulao than a biryani which usually comes with multi colored layered rice. So if you are looking out for an authentic biryani, then there are many other popular places in bangalore city. Coming to the taste of the Biryani at Manis, the rice has got a very nice aroma of locally grown spices and herbs and the mutton (sheep meat) is so perfectly cooked to the bone that its really tender and soft. A plate of biryani comes with a cup of Raitha and sliced cucumbers for a cost of Rs.250/- The serving is done outdoors under a shed and since theres a lot of place, you could choose to eat either outdoors or there are two sheds for indoor seating. Preferable to go on a tuesday or friday to avoid the crowd compared to a sunday where people stand in ques for long hours. Manis Biryani is open only on 3 days of the week. Sunday(from 4:30am), tuesday & friday (from 6am) and they usually close down by 10am on these days. A must visit place if you reside in or around Bangalore and would love to binge on some steaming hot biryani after a long cold mornings drive. I'm looking forward to visiting this place again with a hope to try out few more dishes like Paaya soup- since at the moment they specialize and serve only mutton biryani. Happy Eating! :)

It's awesome experiance and keep your expectation low so that you can enjoy your meal. The location is almost 30-40 kms away from city. So consider it as package including morning ride with your friends, standing in long qeue and having piping hot aromatic briyani. If you want to enjoy the biryani its always recommend to go there and have it from there. So the place , aromatic smells in air, plate/vessel sounds , climate , crowd .. every element have a major role in making the hoskote briyani famous. Coming the biriyani. It' s bit spicy , lot of ghee and around 5 piece of mutton with born, raita and lemon. cost 250/- . Recommend 😊

Biryani was piping hot, very spicy, mutton can be more tender. Loved the aroma and the service is very fast. We went on Tuesday early morning as I read its less crowded. It was peaceful to eat as it wasn't that crowded by 6:30..later it started getting crowded.

Over hyped, it is not at all worth to travel in early morning and standing hours in the queue. Raitha is only water, worst chicken Kebab Taste - Average similar to Anand dum biriyani, and it is more spicy Half boiled mutton The owners are intentionally keeping customers on the queue for more time to create hype and traffic. Bcz only one counter for tokens and biryani. They wont give tokens speedily manner. Chicken kebab is just average I suggest don’t wait too much in this line. Choose which is less line between this and Anand dum biryani centre

Biriyani okay okay not that much tasty. Over Hyped. it is not at all worth it to travel in the early morning and standing hours in the queue. The atmosphere is the worst seating place to eat. Kebab's average. I recommend visiting this place before 5am morning Sunday. After 5:30am it's very crowded. I would recommend this place for people who love to explore new places to eat or to travel to different places just to explore the taste of the food ok ok. One time visit is enough. Mutton biriyani -Rs.270/- kabab (200gms) is Rs.100/-

Super delicious morning biryani! Worth the drive from Bangalore. We left from here at 5.30 and had a peaceful drive and reached by 6.30. The good thing is that there is a lot of open area and hence easy to social distance. Mutton biryani is priced at 250 rupees and totally worth it. There is ample space to park bikes inside and cars as well, easily accessible from main road. Do visit on a weekday to enjoy your biryani in peace. Just to add - the quantity is a lot for 1 person to eat sometimes, so do consider that before ordering! 😀

Start early and reach early to avoid long waiting, after 6.30am queue will be very long, from 5am they start serving mutton biryani and it is little spicy, mutton is cooked well. There will be 2 lines one for token and other for taking biryani, stand at both lines if you are more than one person so that you'll get biryani once token received parallely.

Mani dum briyani is a very well known early morning biryani serves only in 3 days a week (Tuesday,Friday and Sunday). They serve only mutton(sheep not goat) biryani and no other biryani or dishes . Sundays the hotel starts serving food at 4 AM, Tuesday and Fridays at 6AM . Generally on Sundays the queue starts at 2:30 AM. Dinning : Once you collect the food you can take it to nearby sit areas, however seating is not so big. Each sit area's can accommodate 30 to 40 people at a time. Apart from that there is alsi a small Dinning area in the same place where you collect the food. In rainy seasons the area is not so clean and not well lit (less light). As soon as someone completes eating there is a helper to clean the table and he does clean them diligently. Food : We reached around 4:30AM and there were around 40 to 50 people standing in queue and it took almost 15 mins for us to reach the counter. They accept cash or UPI (g-pay). There is icecream shop (nandini) nearby and costs normal. There is also a coffee shop in same compound. Price : Each plate of biryani costs 270 rupees(as on Aug 2022) and water bottle costs 20 rupees. It is worth the money honestly for biryanies. Takeout : After you reach the counter you can say if it is takeaway or for Dinning. The takeaway costs the same as Dinning. They will issue you tokens and you should give it at the counters and collect your food . Please note there are separate counters for Dinning and takeaway. Suggestions: ========== To customers : Plan to visit by 5/ 5:30AM there will not be much crowd in queue . Avoid going on rainy seasons or when it rains. To hotel management: Please take care of the Dinning areas as they are dirty and not well lit with lights. There are electrical wires, water pumps hanging all around. Also during rainy seasons it makes things worser, may be consider sheltering the area's where people stand in queues. Overall it is nice, tasty, worth the money food that too in early morning. Undoubtedly should be tried. Please note they don't have branches. In online Food ordering systems such as swiggy you find Manis dum biryani but they are fakes. The original one you find only here in hoskote road.

These are some over rated spots, you will get biryani here 3 days a week - Tuesday, Friday and sunday. You'll have to come early in the morning to wait in a queue for more than hours to get biriyani. Moreover there are 2 queues, one for the token and another for the biriyani. Biriyani is nothing special it tastes similar to any road side biriyani. But the Mutton piece was awesome. Hype 11/10 Taste 5/10

Coming here after 4 years for the Mutton Biryani. Things aren't the same as they used to be. The taste changed, not as good as I remember & the price increased from 180 to 250 in that time. Blame the inflation I guess. We came here at 4:30 am. Luckily, the queue was short & it gradually increased to about 30-minutes wait time by 6:30 am. Not worth the hassle honestly, if you're riding 35+ km at 4am just for this

Over-hyped place for morning biryani and they serve mutton biryani and kabab. Mutton biryani is of 290 rupees and they give huge quantities. Many can't finish one full biryani. Good quantity and quality. There was plenty of parking on the road and we visited at 5:30 am in the morning.and waited in line for almost 15mins. They can cut down the queue by implementing some more man power. Mostly it will be good for tasting a biryani in the morning. A fantasy thing. Some seating chairs are available.

Awesome Experience to have early morning Briyani... Soo many people coming to taste it was lovely to see. They serve only Mutton Briyani (270 Rs) & Chicken Kebab (100 Rs / 200gm). Sufficient quantity for 1 person & pieces were soft. We have to wait in a que for more than a hour to get the token & another 30mins to get the Briyani. Must try....

Spicy 🔥 Hot Briyani. The flavours and aroma of the mutton biryani is awesome, like no other Briyani served in Bangalore. It's worth every visit early morning..the ambience is set very simple with options to sit or stand and eat. Though it's self service, it's pretty quick. I could see a variety of crowd visiting this place to eat finger licking delicious briyani. You can only have mutton briyani Good Quantity with curd salad, cucumber slices and lemon. Tuesday's are the most preferred.

Have been to this place recently. After hearing a lot about mutton biryani of this place... Mutton biryani was little spicy but taste was good, so if someone don't eat spicy food then they may not like the taste The place is too crowded , first of all you need to collect token after paying money and then you need stand in another line for collecting biryani People used to come early morning to this place to have a great taste of biryani

Mutton biryani is awesome and very tasty. They start serving the biryani around 4:30am pm which gets over by Max at 7am. You can dine in or take away the parcel. One can also get Chicken Kabab there. People have to wait in a long queue to get their biryani coupons. The waiting period is around 1hr but it's all worth it to eat delicious biryani as a early breakfast 😋😋

Opens at 4 am. Has only two items on the menu 1. Mutton biryani (270rs) 2. Chicken kebab(120rs). Recommend going early because of the long waiting time. Must try at least once. No vegetarian options.

Reached Hoskote at 4 30 am and stood in the queue for about 1 hr and 15mins to taste the infamous Mutton biriyani with chicken kebab! The rice was tasty, the mutton’s flavour was perfectly induced in the biriyani. Both dishes were served hot and bit spicy! Would recommend to visit the location just for the experience. Pls make to reach by 4am or max by 4 30. The crowd gets crazy after…

Travelled around 30 kms from banglore during Sunday early Morning and waited in long insane crowd for almost an hour to get the token. But the wait was worth the hype. Biriyani was superb! I didn't expect this much taste as many reviews says it's over hyped. But personally I liked it very much.. Mutton was so tender and Rice was spicy still super soft!!

It's just a hype.....Very spicy Donne biriyani, mutton pieces sufficient. Weekend Sunday lot of crowd, more than 300-400 people. Recommend to visit this place before 5am morning Sunday. After 5:30am it's very crowded. Better to take parcel and wat at home,Bcz parcel line is very less people. Mutton biriyani -Rs.270/- One time visit is enough.

This is early morning 4 am dum biriyani . Must try . I have reached sharply at 4am but still i saw big queue standing in front of me . I suggest to reach early than usual. You have to park your vechicle at roadside only. I saw mostly drunken guys waiting for their hunger . Slightly not safe place too .

First thing for it was an early morning fun and who had biryani cravings, tons of people were coming to eat. By the way it's a donne biryani (benguluru style). The price of 270rs is a bit high for dinner biryani but fine. Overall it's a good one don't expect excellent taste it's a good one. 3.4/5 rating.

  • 2/5 Ponni Meenakshi S. 1 year ago on Google
Thank God there was less or no crowd. The dine in was edible. The take away was horrible.. there was smoke smell in the biriyani.. tiny bones in the entire biriyani. No mutton pieces.. my friend felt it was beef mixed. Generally.. tiny bones means the mutton was not cleaned properly. Sorry. Horrible place to eat. I won't be going there again. Kebab was ok. Raita was yummy.

Good one, we went there by 4:10AM and there was a considerable amount of people in queue for both dine in and take away. Since it rained on that day the path to go inside was muddy. After reaching we waited for 15mins in line and service was quick enough to get our biryanis in our hands. We opted for takeaway. We drove for about 25mins back home and when we opened the box, believe me, it was aromatic and when we tasted the first morsel, it was worth it. This biryani had more spice flavours which were dominating the mutton fat aroma usually what to be expected much from hoskote biryani. For the price, it was the Paisa vasool quantity of biryani offered and just a heads up, must not expect a decent amount of mutton pieces since we got only 1 in each of the packing and rest all are complete bones. Coming to chicken kebab, I liked it though it was bit oily. It has the right amount of spiciness which we could enjoy rather than having a burning mouth and teary eyes.

You'll enjoy this Biryani, after traveling in early morning. Maybe it's not so tasty but it's all about thrill to go early morning 5am in fog. It's worthy.

Absolutely loved the biryani and the pieces. They smother generous amount of ghee in their biryani. The biryani was not so spicy and flavorful due to the masalas. Best biryani to have bisi bisi in Bangalore. This completely outperforms every other biryani in the state. Must try for all bangaloreans and dear kannadigas.
