As
someone
whos
been
admitted
to
lots
of
uncaring,
abusive
and
unempathetic
hospitals
in
the
last
few
years,
I
can
say
that
this
one
is
like
a
breath
of
fresh
air.
A
lot
of
people
have
complaints
with
things
such
as
long
wait
times,
feeling
like
they
are
not
thoroughly
talked
through
things
with
nurses,
etc....
But
thats
the
nature
of
emergency
rooms
in
general.
Ive
been
twice,
first
was
about
a
month
ago.
I
went
in
at
7pm
and
I
can
say
the
wait
times
were
pretty
atrocious,
but
thats
out
of
the
hospitals
control
really.
This
time
I
came
in
at
10am
and
was
seen
and
launched
into
tests
and
treatments
within
the
hour.
I
got
out
about
7
hours
later.
I
required
a
specialist
that
was
not
on
site
so
that
did
amplify
the
amount
of
time
I
spent
there.
All
of
the
nurses
and
doctors
that
I
personally
interacted
with
were
so
sweet
and
compassionate.
I
have
anxiety
when
it
comes
to
needles
and
injections
and
they
all
were
very
gentle
and
didnt
give
me
a
bad
attitude
about
it.
If
you
have
questions
about
your
medications,
tests,
procedures,
they
are
all
more
than
happy
to
inform
you
and
educate
you
more
on
them.
Yes,
my
doctor
seemed
rushed
and
stretched
thin,
but
when
she
was
with
me
she
was
present
and
understanding.
These
doctors
probably
have
20+
patients
at
any
times
that
they
need
to
keep
tabs
on
and
give
directions.
Not
to
mention
12
hour
shifts.
If
you
feel
like
you
are
lost
on
what
is
happening
around
you,
I
implore
you
to
ask
questions
and
the
staff
will
make
you
feel
at
home.
The
only
thing
I
have
issue
with
is
a
lack
of
direction
with
outpatient
care.
I
was
told
to
schedule
a
follow-up
with
an
ENT,
but
unfortunately
the
one
they
told
me
to
schedule
with
did
not
take
my
insurance.
The
nurses
were
very
kind
about
this
and
referred
to
me
a
nurse
help-line
to
find
a
provider
that
could
help
me.
No
blame
to
the
nurses,
but
when
I
did
call
the
line
I
was
transferred
about
5
times
before
someone
just
hung
up
on
me.
Not
quite
sure
where
to
go
from
there.
Every
time
I've
called
the
hospital
or
their
connected
resources
I
tend
to
just
get
ping-ponged
around
until
someone
just
doesn't
pick
up.
But
that
has
less
to
do
with
the
hospital's
emergency
room
care
and
more
so
the
office
(?)
workers
for
Memorial
Hermann.
TLDR:
Anyway,
rambled
just
to
say
if
you're
nervous
about
going
here
because
of
the
2
star
rating,
dont
be.
I
was
too.
Everyone
is
nice,
wait
times
WILL
be
long
(depending
on
the
time
of
day,
evenings
seem
to
be
the
worst)
but
your
doctors
and
nurses
are
trying
their
best.
Scheduling
follow
ups
is
kinda
of
a
pain,
but
dont
be
afraid
to
ask
questions
if
you
feel
uninformed.
Thank
you
doctors,
nurses,
healthcare
workers
in
general
at
Memorial
Hermann
Pearland!
