This hospital offers no real urgent care. Nurses are doweling laughing, having conversations in the back. I’ve waited 4 hrs for chest ray results. And they didn’t properly exam me at all. I barely spoke with a competent nurse who for an hour gave me the run around. The expectation of care is way below expectations.

We came in around 1:00am by ambulance.Emergency floors were nasty & restroom no toilet tissue, paper all over the floor, urine everywhere, given a box of tissue. A nurse, Lucila came in at (12/29)7am, just rude. No assistance. For example, bought in a tray of food and handed it to the patient. When I mentioned is there a tray to put it on, oh yes (after staring me down) I can wipe the tray on wheels down. It still had trashed from the previous nurse on it. I am so upset! She stated she doesn’t have control how long things take, test & a room the doctor ordered. She stated it can take all day! Wow! This all could have been said in a nice way. Not with attitude, like we getting on her nerves in this nasty place.

I came into the Emergency Room on Friday evening with not a long wait at all. The staff was absolutely friendly, professional and caring. My ER nurse and Dr Mohamed were awesome. My doctor even drove from the other side of town to come see me because I was not feeling well. I don’t know why this ER has such few stars but if you come in friendly, you get treated friendly. Was admitted and found out, all rooms are private. Definitely my 1st choice every time now.

Ridiculous, I have been here for almost 4.5 hours and still have not been examined by a doctor. I had an ultrasound done, got my temperature taken and was told to go back to the lobby. The ultrasound technician said it would be 30 minutes before the ER doctor would get results... That was 3.5 hours ago. They repeatedly call other names for people who aren't there. They left a woman in a wheelchair by herself in the middle of the lobby as she was just knocked out in pain after throwing up and by herself. Not even a room for her it was packed earlier and it's been going down since then but here I am still waiting. I truly try to avoid Pearland as much as I can in general and this is another reason why. Just what I expect from this city.

Went here for severe abdominal pain. Everyone was great until shift change. I was discharged and nothing of my results were explained. Was told the doctor wasn’t coming. The nurse had no idea what was going on and did a really poor job of telling me my results. No one bothered to explain anything besides here’s your papers and leave. Turns out I have a mass on my kidney no one bothered to tel me about. What kind of place just hands you a packet and sends you on your way with no explanation? They sent meds to my pharmacy without letting me know. Only way I found out was the pharmacy calling. This is just terrible.

On 2/19/23, I took my elderly father to Memorial Hermann Pearland hospital. My father was ill with Covid. I took my father to the emergency room because he was not eating, had a mild fever (99.8) before arriving to the hospital and had a unbearable sore throat which made it difficult to consume liquids. The ED physician, Joseph Chukwuma, met with my father and stated his temperature in normal and Memorial Hermann does not treat Covid. Joseph asked me why did I bring my father to the hospital and is your father vaccinated. I told him my father is not vaccinated. Joseph crossed his arms and with a disgusted exhale said to me, "I do not know who to blame". I was humiliated and insulted by our local doctor, Joseph Chukwuma, who chose to make accusations and verbally belittle my father and me with two members of his staff present. This review is to let others know of our unpleasant experience. I am hopeful the curator of this review will forward it to the superior to coach Joseph on business etiquette and his bedside manners.

I wish I could give them a 0. This is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to! I have been to this location three times for a kidney stone in three weeks and each time, the care gets worse. Just last night, they had me sitting in the waiting room with a IV pole with fluid and pain medication. All of the beds was not occupied and I know that for a fact because I had to give a urine sample and I was able to see all the rooms that was available. There was a NP sitting in the triage room listening to the entire conversation I was having with a nurse. She chimes in and started asking questions. I asked her if she could call my urologist and let him know that I was in the ER. She said that she would page him, but after talking to Dr Moore, found out it was never done. I am sick and tired of spending my time and money at this location. I take my health serious and it’s sad that I have to be my own advocate to get taken care of. Never, ever again!

One of the worst ER Hospital in Texas. Over the weekend my 70 year old mother with a preexisting heart condition, passed out and was taken to this emergency room. They did absolutely nothing and sent her home informing her to follow up with her Cardiologist Monday. The next day she still was not feeling well, and we took her to another emergency room. My mother was immediately admitted into the Hospital and has to have a cardiac ablation!! If you care for your loved ones health and wellbeing DO NOT take the there.

I went to the ER on 12/26/22. I will never return to this Hospital again It is a terrible place I had pancreatitis I was there for 10 hours. They never gave me a room I asked the nurses for a room she said they treat patients from the lobby they never have beds. I had excruciating abdominal pain but they did not care I laid on the floor and they said you need to stay seated on the chair the floor is dirty. Please Do not go to this Hospital because you will regret trust me.

Tonight I have personally received the absolute worst care ever in the emergency department. One nurse (Paul) stood out and was super amazing and did his best to help. Everyone else seemed to act like it was an absolute chore to give any type patient care. From waiting 6 hours in absolute pain and getting nothing but an eye roll and being told “WELL this IS an emergency room you do have to wait.” I had to leave without care. Will follow up with St.Luke’s.

I am glad that I didn't let the reviews sway my decision. My Aunt came here 6 months ago at my suggestion as she kept going to St Luke's in Sugarland with no results. They kept telling her to take pain meds and she'll be fine. She came to Memorial and they immediately did a CT and found that her appendix had ruptured. Well 6 months later I am here in the EC and it's 5 people waiting and things are constantly moving . They take u back for weight , BP and central line. You go back to waiting area, then radiology came then back to waiting area then 10mins later they called my name for a room. Once in room 2 more tests, urine sample and results. I am so very sorry for the otherpeoples experience but they have saved and did well by me on both accounts. They were professional as u can expect the generation now doesn't adhere to certain teachings and reinforcements. I will definitely return. The facilities clean and/or being cleaned and I was checked on while I was in the EC awaiting results.

I went in to ER after just leaving a hospital 6 day stay the day before in Clear Lake HCA. I have a severe headache, blurry vision, dizziness and BP 166/106. My arms and feet were tingly and almost numb. I needed to lay down but they left me sitting in waiting room. The front staff including nurses were very dismissive, condescending and rude. I’m sure they thought I was younger than I am. I am in fact 51 years old and have been dealing with some major health issues lately. I’m also not over weight. I’m not sure why they were so rude and actually whispered to each other which I actually heard. They were making fun of me. They were like a mean girl click. Then they rolled me into an area and a wheel chair and started headache meds while I was still sitting up and could barely hold my head up. I do not under any circumstances recommend this hospital ER for any reason. Avoid.

I was seen here for messed up shoulder I ripped the muscle in shoulder all they did was X-ray and referral to orthopedic that could get me in for two weeks. I had bad bruising in shoulder and my lose it do to blood clots in shoulder. The ER department never let me see a actual doctor only a physician assistant and they never examined my shoulder they never got out of chair and it was on other side of room. My doctor said they should have immediately done a MRI but they didn’t even have technician available to perform it. And they are a Emergency Room they should have someone around the clock to perform stuff like this. But no they just refer to orthopedic and when I called he couldn’t see me because he is not a shoulder specialist!

I want to thank everyone in Emergency Department today. From registration to all the nurses and the multiple doctors that assisted in my mom's care. I wish I could have gotten your names so I could give all individual recognition. But it was how you moved as a team that impressed me the most. I really thought I was going to lose my mother today but you actions and compassion gave my family more time. I have been a nurse for over 25 years and never seen a group of professionals move as you did today. The first doctor I encountered prepared me for the worst but assured me she would shoot for the best. I know my mom isn't out of the woods but i just wanted to thank all of you for what you have done so far. If I could pay you what you're worth, all of you would be millionaires. Thanks from the family of AH.

Do not go here if you care about your life/health because they surely don't. I walk in and was stared at by the ones who were suppose to check me in I was in so much pain they literally stared! And kept talking amongst their peers Everyone there seems to hate their job! I was confused because how do you have that kind of attitude in such a field. Also I listen to a man scream in pain for over an hour as nurses and other employees walk by and did not assist or try to help. Medical equipment was left hanging around That's terrible and unsanitary and I'm pretty sure it violates safety codes. Also they will recommend surgery without knowing if you actually need it for sure im guessing they just want the money. Again, if you care about your life , health, and well being do not go here. Even the so called upper worker kaytlin had a nasty attitude yuck. No thank you. Do better you're dealing with people lives for God sake y'all don't even act like you care. 0/0 I should have took pictures of the medical items used and left out you would gag. This place is scary just say NO. And go elsewhere. Unprofessional, unorganized, lack care and concern. The list goes on and on.

I had a full knee replacement surgery on 12/18/2023. My Dr, Dr. Laura Torres Barre is a wonderful surgeon along with Robert Sbarra, her assistant. Other than that the only good thing about my overnight stay at Memorial Hermann Hospital Pearland was the food.

As someone whos been admitted to lots of uncaring, abusive and unempathetic hospitals in the last few years, I can say that this one is like a breath of fresh air. A lot of people have complaints with things such as long wait times, feeling like they are not thoroughly talked through things with nurses, etc.... But thats the nature of emergency rooms in general. Ive been twice, first was about a month ago. I went in at 7pm and I can say the wait times were pretty atrocious, but thats out of the hospitals control really. This time I came in at 10am and was seen and launched into tests and treatments within the hour. I got out about 7 hours later. I required a specialist that was not on site so that did amplify the amount of time I spent there. All of the nurses and doctors that I personally interacted with were so sweet and compassionate. I have anxiety when it comes to needles and injections and they all were very gentle and didnt give me a bad attitude about it. If you have questions about your medications, tests, procedures, they are all more than happy to inform you and educate you more on them. Yes, my doctor seemed rushed and stretched thin, but when she was with me she was present and understanding. These doctors probably have 20+ patients at any times that they need to keep tabs on and give directions. Not to mention 12 hour shifts. If you feel like you are lost on what is happening around you, I implore you to ask questions and the staff will make you feel at home. The only thing I have issue with is a lack of direction with outpatient care. I was told to schedule a follow-up with an ENT, but unfortunately the one they told me to schedule with did not take my insurance. The nurses were very kind about this and referred to me a nurse help-line to find a provider that could help me. No blame to the nurses, but when I did call the line I was transferred about 5 times before someone just hung up on me. Not quite sure where to go from there. Every time I've called the hospital or their connected resources I tend to just get ping-ponged around until someone just doesn't pick up. But that has less to do with the hospital's emergency room care and more so the office (?) workers for Memorial Hermann. TLDR: Anyway, rambled just to say if you're nervous about going here because of the 2 star rating, dont be. I was too. Everyone is nice, wait times WILL be long (depending on the time of day, evenings seem to be the worst) but your doctors and nurses are trying their best. Scheduling follow ups is kinda of a pain, but dont be afraid to ask questions if you feel uninformed. Thank you doctors, nurses, healthcare workers in general at Memorial Hermann Pearland!

My grandmother was admitted in the hospital for pneumonia and eventually went to be with the Lord. Some of the staff were excellent but one in particular was terrible. The provider in charge of her care repeatedly told the family "she is 85 years old...". He continued his philosophy and explained that doing more would only prolong her suffering. He went as far as withholding aggressive oxygen treatment against the RT recommendations. He also never ordered any blood gas tests on a patient struggling to breathe until the family requested it and didn't administrator aggressive antibiotics until another provider recommended it. He clearly displayed an interest in letting her go and not helping her get better. It is tragic for her life to be cut short by a person's lack of empathy.

I came here Monday 12/18/23. I will say we only waited about 25 minutes before I was in the back. I was seen by a nurse practitioner that introduced himself. Other than that anyone else who came in to help didn’t give a name, I wasn’t told what medicine I was being handed which was pretty alarming. Especially since I’m pregnant. My biggest concern was the fact I had a high temperature and had not been able to keep anything down all day. so I was given Tylenol for it and a nausea medicine. They wanted to hear baby’s heartbeat so they had so an uneducated nurse use a Doppler on me and he told me the heartbeat we were hearing was my baby’s.. it was not, it was mine. And I knew that but he said he was sure it was my baby’s. (Reading at 110 which is LOW for a baby) I sat in the waiting room with an IV hooked up for fluids as I was dehydrated. I was then moved to a room I believe that said “results waiting” which was very close quarters for all in that room. There was no privacy, you could hear what everyone was there for. I sat in that room for almost 2 hours even though all my results were back. My bf finally spoke up for me as I was freezing, my temp was rising again and I was just ready to be home since nothing was really being done for me. I wouldn’t be back to this location. I worried all night about my Fever I could barely control myself with Tylenol for my unborn. Hopefully my experience with Labor and delivery will be different when the time comes.

I appreciate the triage staff that got me in immediately. I went in with chest pains, nausea, and numbness in my hands. They ran test and sat me in the results. Within a hour of sitting I was discharged. The doctor never returned explained results to me or even tried to figure out the problem. I’m very disappointed with the lack of care or compassion. Even if you don’t know you still could have explained that. I work in the medical field and understand the daily pressure. I also understand patients needing a peace of mind when they are sick. Now I’m here at another Doctor in hopes to figure out what’s wrong.

You are on hold for greater than 15 minutes just to be transferred to a patients room..Nurses don't know their patients respond to questions by referring you to the physician for any simple question regarding the patients care, medications, any other Specialists name. OMG!

Since the moment I came people have been amazing to me, busy of course but what do you expect it’s a emergency facility a lot of people need help, been here since Friday and still here at the moment and I don’t have not one bad thing to say about no staff or anything even the cleaning lady from the room that’s coming are amazing and caring as well and make you feel comfortable, thank you to all the staff memeber that’s been helping me through these tough times.

Unfortunately I had a bowel blockage and hernia that needed emergency attention. The surgery was successful and the care that followed was great. Doctors, nurses, the entire staff made my stay there comfortable, there were even a few smiles and jokes shared between us. Surgery can be a frightening experience , but the staff put me at ease. Great job by all.

My experience at this Emergency Room was very good. After visiting other another emergency room that was overwhelmed with patients in this city unable to get in to see a doctor. I was in excruciating pain it wasn't looking good. I thank God in Jesus Christ for the hands of Mercy on the Earth at Memorial Hermann. Dr J.C Crowling was available and I got the Emergency surgery that I needed. Thankful and grateful.

Ambulance brought mom on Sunday and since was brought in there has been nothing but GREAT attention to my mother. Nurses are all excellent and have patience with my 95yo mother in which I would say I've been to other hospitals and don't get this treatment. Thank you Doctors and Nurses need more like you.

😠 My experience at this ER was horrible. I brought my elderly, disabled mother in. There was no one else waiting, so we were brought to triage right away. We then spent 9 hours waiting. Waiting for what? Who knows. They put her on a bed in a back hallway. There were a dozen nurses just hanging around,...
