If you ever question whether CrossFit is for you (am I too old for it? Am I too fat for it? Am I in too much pain to exercise this way? …) drop it and give CrossFit Be Someone a try! Josh (the owner) runs a great gym. His coaches (Tony, Luis, Curtis and David) are patient, accommodating, friendly, educated and knowledgeable. They also know how to challenge and push you (without the painful consequences). Neema and Megan can help you clean up your diet. The sense of camaraderie and their focus on your success are a lethal combination for my - and your - fat cells, Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and overall feeling of blah. Thank you for all you do!

I love CFBS! Josh (owner) and his wife Jocelyn are fully committed to the gym and their clients. I love the community and my coaches (Josh, Tony, Luis, and David)! Even though it’s a group class setting, I truly feel like I’m being coached individually. Thanks guys!

I can’t say enough good things about this gym! The coaches are super knowledgeable and are always continuing their education in all things CrossFit. They care about you as a whole person - mentally, physically, and emotionally. They help you scale if you can’t do a movement and/or if you’re injured. You also can’t find a better community of people. CFBS is one of my favorite places to go 🩵💪🏼

CFBS has been a welcoming and supportive environment since the first day I walked it. I never felt any judgment, felt as if me and my goals are a priority to all of the coaches, and made friends along the way. The coaches are all very knowledgeable and great at catering to each athletes specific needs.

My wife & I recently moved to the area and were looking for a new CrossFit box. Josh & his team have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome, & strongly encourage support & community at the gym. Seeing that we were new, other members have been quick to introduce themselves too. It makes it much easier to wake early & get to CrossFit knowing you’re going to be working out with friends. The coaches spend the time learning each person’s CrossFit goals and movement weaknesses and move around each participant in the workout to observe and offer advice and guidance. Regular ‘check ins’ help keep you on track. This makes it a great environment in which to develop & improve. Finally, I spend a lot of time on the road for work. Josh has no hesitation designing ‘hotel gym workouts’ so I don’t miss a workout. I greatly value this. We’ll be members at CrossFit Be Someone as long as they’ll have us! Easy 5 Stars.

I found myself looking for a new gym earlier this summer and reached out to Be Someone. Owner/Head Coach Josh responded to my DM nearly instantly and welcomed me to a class the same day. Coach Luis led us through one of the most fun, effective, and organized classes I've ever attended. The athletes were warm and welcoming; community is a priority here! After class, not only did Luis solicit my feedback on his class, but Client Success Manager Jocelyn did the same. Everything about this process was smooth; they have operations down to a science. In addition, this is a gym with a growth mindset for both its members and staff. After one class, I knew I had found my new home!

Love this gym! Accountability is important for me because I tend to slack off. Jocelyn texts me every week for some motivation and encourages me to go to the gym. Even though it’s group classes, the trainers spend their time giving individual positive feedback. Everyone is super friendly.

I can't say enough good things about Crossfit Be Someone. The CFBS staff are one of a kind. They not only greet you with a welcoming smile, but they also want to successfully help you reach your goals as an athlete. They also care about your home / personal life and help you better yourself in and out of the gym. The community is like no other. One word to describe the CFBS community is FAMILY. You walk in and immediately feel comfortable and welcomed. Crossfit is not easy, so when you have those rough, tough days - you have members and coaches there to motivate you. 10/10 would recommend!

When I entered the gym, Josh, Jocelyn, and Tony were very welcoming and friendly. The team is professional, highly motivated, and attentive to everyone. English is not my first language, and the staff is always patient and repeatedly explains everything to me. It’s been almost nine months since I started CrossFit; never been so far before cause I was a person who had never done sport for more than three months. I love their weekly inspirational text messages, monthly letters, healthy lifestyle tips, and food recipes. So don’t be afraid to join Crossfit Be Someone; you won’t regret it. :)

I walked by this gym one night after moving to the neighborhood and decided to sign up for the free assessment. I immediately was contacted by Josh the owner and within days I signed up and started classes. I was nervous due to never joining a gym but the first day I started I felt extremely comfortable and welcome as soon as I stepped in. It feels like family there and I am so happy I joined. Thanks CFBS staff/members!

There’s only one word to describe this gym - AMAZING! I’ve lived close to the gym for a while and needed something new to start getting back into shape after our daughter was born. Having never done CrossFit before, I was intimidated by the idea in my head of what CrossFit workouts were, but I stopped in to talk to the owner Josh anyway. I could tell this place was different just by that conversation so I decided to give it a try. I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. The coaches are awesome, truly care about you as an athlete, give great individual feedback during workouts, focus on the proper technique, and meet you where you are at fitness wise. The programming is great - each class is challenging and different but also fun. But most of all the community is awesome and what makes me come back. I’ve never felt so welcomed in a gym before. I recruited my wife into joining and now it’s something we do together and love it. I’d give it 10 stars if I could - my only regret is that I didn’t join sooner!

CrossFit Be Someone is unlike any other gym I’ve been a part of, in the best possible way. Josh (the owner) and the coaches approach is to meet people where they’re at in their fitness journey — it’s highly encouraged to find the right scaling of each workout so you meet the intended stimulus, rather than put on a bunch of weight unnecessarily. They also take a holistic approach & emphasize healthy habits outside of the gym: nutrition, sleep, and mental health. Finally, this is a gym that I joined for the workouts and stayed for the community — the gym hosts lots of events, from in-house competitions, to group volunteer outings, to simple happy hours/get togethers. I’ve both gotten fitter and made new friends in the time I’ve been at CFBS — if I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would!

This is a great CrossFit gym. The coaches are very attentive and they will also modify your workouts if you have injuries. The atmosphere is very friendly and everyone makes you feel welcome.

I’ve been a member for about a year now. This is the longest time I’ve spent at a CrossFit gym. The others I have tried, lost my engagement after a couple months. Josh, Taylor, and Tony do an amazing job of coaching and making sure you are performing the lifts safely and progressing you through the movement whether it’s your first time or your 500th time. You can tell they put in a lot of time learning and coaching the movements. Josh has built an awesome community here and the members are very engaging and welcoming. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Started at CFBS after a 6 month break from CrossFit and have loved every second of it! The coaches do a great job at creating workouts that are challenging but attainable at any skill level. Josh and the coaching staff in the gym have created a positive environment where each person is able to grow and work towards their individual goals. I would recommend this gym to anyone, new to CrossFit or not!

I just started less than a month ago but everyone is so friendly and welcoming even if they don’t know you. I think community is a big part of what makes a gym worth going to and there’s definitely one at Crossfit Be Someone.

Thanks to Crossfit be someone I like who I am becoming. Amazing coaches and community , you are always greeted with loads of smiles and happy vibes . Coaches take extra efforts to watch your movement and ensure right form is maintained along with WOD’s that are designed for all levels and to improve overall fitness of athlete - I have seen huge improvement during last one year with CFBS The last thing I want to share about CFBS is the concept of Accountability. Unlike traditional gyms, where your presence or lack of will not be noticed, here you will be missed and contacted . Even on your vacation or travel days you will be given home workouts to stay committed to your fitness goals !

I’m a first time CrossFitter and sold on the Be Someone gym!! Honestly I was a little intimidated by my perception of what CrossFit was…lots of very in shape people doing Herculean feats and living in the gym. There are definitely VERY in shape and committed athletes at this gym, but the whole atmosphere and culture is the farthest thing from intimidating. I’m not in terrible shape but also not in great shape, my first week was a trial session to see if I could muster the motivation to join…muscles hurt I didn’t even know I had! But it was a good hurt. Every time I come to the gym I’m greeted by fellow participants and by the coaches. Everyone really wants to see everyone else succeed where they are…and of course improve! Everything is scalable to where I am in my fitness journey and there’s always cheers at the end when I finish up…I really do love this gym. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for excellent work outs, great coaching, and a welcoming environment without judgment.

I absolutely love this place! I had never done CrossFit before or never done weights and so was a bit apprehensive. However, from day 1 the coaches have been extremely encouraging super attentive to ensure that all the exercises are being done in the right way. Apart from the fact that the coaches are super knowledgeable, the atmosphere in this place is extremely warm and non-intimidating which just pushes you to be regular and do better each day. The daily motivating mails and messages are helpful, especially when uv just started. Totally would recommend this place for your overall health and well-being 😌

Hands down the best gym in Houston. Don't be intimated by "CrossFit" - this gym focuses heavily on safety and won't push you past your limits like other gyms do. They have small classes, filled with great people, at a variety of times that will surely fit into anyone's schedule. The trainers really give you the 1-on-1 attention you need, even in a class setting. CrossFit Be Someone is a family - they take care of you, they motivate and encourage you, they guide you to be the best you that you can be! Don't hesitate to call and meet up with Josh, the owner. He and his team of Trainers and Nutrition coaches, as well as all the other gym members, will welcome you with open arms. See you there soon!

Joined this gym having just moved to Houston from Australia. I left a really friendly CrossFit gym in Perth and I found an amazing place here in Houston! Josh and his coaches are very professional and welcoming. Members are very friendly and hospitable. I have been doing CrossFit for over ten years and I find I am learning new stuff and getting better at the movements through the coaches here. I like how they start each class with a values moment and also how they encourage scaling to find the correct stimulus for the workout. I’m very glad to have found CrossFit Be Someone and would highly recommend it to newbies and also experienced cross fitters. Steve C

Best gym ever! I usually don’t feel comfortable going to a new gym without knowing anyone, this experience was totally different. The coaches and all the members will make you feel at home. It’s such a good vibe and it’s a bunch of people enjoying working out together! I love this gym. Just do it, you won’t regret it.

😠 This place is a disgrace. The two lat pull-down cables have been broken for over three weeks and they look at me like I’m crazy for thinking they should be repaired. Most of the other equipment is either broken or missing. Even at $15 per month, it’s too much.

👍👍 I have been coming to Fitness Connection since April and I'm glad to say that I lost 30 lbs. It's a really big and nice gym. The perk is that they have a sauna. This gym also have many machines and cool classes. The workers there are really nice and knowledgeable. This gym is a keeper.

😠 By far the worst maintained LA Fitness Gym I’ve ever been to. Most of the Leg workout machines been out of order for almost 3 months. They just stopped caring about fixing because the gym is always packed and they’re getting their monthly dues. Literally there’s just one machine for leg rise Workout...
