My boyfriend and i did a free saturday class to see if we i wanted to make this my box and for him to try a crossfit class for the first time. As my boyfriend had never done crossfit i called before we went to confirm it would be okay for him to attend the class. I was told it would be no problem and the coach would help him with the movements. We arrived and it was instantly super cliquey. No one said hi or introduced themselves. The coach seemed more interested in chatting with the regulars instead of coaching. Didn't really explain the movements of the warm up. Didn't show any modifications which would have been helpful for someone who has never done it before. Didn't direct us to any of the needed equipment. I had to ask people in the class and search it out myself. Gave no modifications for the work out. Luckily I have done crossfit before so i knew some but overall i was underwhelmed. What I have loved about past boxes is that everyone is there together to defeat the work out and how welcoming it usually is. Did not feel that here. Which is a big disappointment because of all the 5 star reviews.

I started doing CrossFit at Vintage about 3 years ago. I was not athletic and I was very uncoordinated. I couldn’t even do single jump rope. The staff is extremely friendly and no one ever made me feel like I didn’t belong. The coaches are very knowledgeable and take the time to answer all your questions. Since I couldn’t do most of the workouts, they helped me scale the movements appropriately without compromising the intensity. The best thing about Vintage is the community. The most experienced people are very supportive and willing to help you. I have made amazing friends and going to the gym doesn’t feel like something I have to do anymore, it feels like something I want to do.

I was a first timer to Vintage Crossfit. The gym is clean and everyone is very friendly willing to help you learn. The coaches and owner take their time and show each move before the start of the session and makes sure that your form is perfect. I've been corrected multiple times on my form and did not feel intimidated or embarrassed. I have to find a new gym to go to because I moved, but I hope the next gym I go to is exactly like Vintage. If I had not moved I would still be going to Vintage. Thank you Dennis for welcoming into your gym!!

Great coaching staff who is well organized and stays on top of posting the workouts. I was a former college athlete and vintage helped me continue to compete and work towards MY goals. GREAT community! Everyone is there to get better and push one another to achieve their goals. When I moved to Houston about 8 months ago, I dropped into 9 different gyms and none of them in my opinion, were as well rounded as Vintage. If you’re looking for a change or want to try something new, you should give vintage a try. Coaches and members and very welcoming. If you are looking to join, feel free to drop in to try it out and at the very least get a great workout in!

I had my doubts about CrossFit until I came to Vintage. I've been coming to Vintage for almost 2.5 years. Vintage has great balance between female and male athletes and coaches. Vintage also offers yoga, running, fundamentals, Olympic lifting, quick fit (30min workout) and summer swimming classes in addition to very challenging CrossFit classes. The coaches are very knowledgeable, fun and encouraging. There are plenty of parking spots available both at the box and on the street. I made great friends and workout buddies through Vintage. I highly recommend Vintage if you are looking for variety of challenging workouts and to meet new friends.

First and only gym I needed to try out when I moved to Houston! Vintage stays involved in the community by putting on competitions, with free workouts, and with volunteer efforts. The coaching staff and members make everyone feel welcome, but will push you to make you better.

A friend recommended CrossFit and thought id give it a shot. This gym was a good first experience. Partnered with a regular, he guided me through the first workout. Coach Taylor was attentive and notices if you are unsure about a process or technique 👍. If you want to challenge your self this is a great spot, lots of motivation.

Vintage was my introduction to CrossFit and I fell in love. The community is awesome and the coaches really want to watch you succeed. I only left because I moved out of town. Wish I could take it with me!

Great place with coaches and owner who cares. I have been to three boxes in the past and this is the best one so far. The owner really takes care of the place and there is even community outreach. The workouts are great, lots of stretching before a WOD which I love.

Vintage is hands down the best CrossFit gym in Houston. After relocating from Austin I was looking for my long term gym home. I was actually brand new to CrossFit but must have been to 10+ boxes in the area trying to find the best trainers and the best early morning crew - when you are training before the sun comes up, the people you are sweating it out with matters. Dennis, the owner of the gym has an incredible attention for detail and he works really hard on creating a good culture and it shows. With the addition of separate classes focusing on Olympic training and gymnastics - this is an incredible value. Dennis also is consistently working on making changes and giving opportunities for feedback on how to improve. If you want to truly learn CrossFit, get strong, have fun, and meet some great people. This is your spot!

Amazing place, I was coming here for the past 2 Years and I loved the place (Even better now with some new additions) but also the people. Coaches were extremely helpful and very nice and charismatic. The people overall made the experience better, I will definitely come back when I come back to Houston.

My favorite Crossfit gym and I have been in multiple ones in different cities and countries. Great space, location, equipment, workouts, competition, activities, and people. The owner is very involved with his GYM and takes care of it and his athletes (customers). Have regular "fun" activities outside of the gym. It has a nice shower, ice tubes, and even a separate workout room with AC. I had a great experience and will be dropping in when visit Houston

After our gym closed, we visited several Crossfits to find a new community. We (my wife and I…47 and 46 years) decided to join Vintage for a few reasons: 1. The coaching and programming is great. It’s challenging, but it can easily be modified to make it doable by beginners. 2. The people are friendly. Hey, this matters when you talk about investing dollars, time, and sweat multiple times a week. 3. The gym is conveniently located and has plenty of equipment. And, there is every variety of needed equipment to accommodate CrossFits philosophy of “varied” movements. 4. There are plenty of options for class times. And, the open gym is a nice bonus option. 5. Dennis is a solid gym owner. The programming and supporting information is always on time and presented in a way that eliminates questions or unnecessary concerns.
