Before I lost my car in the flood I used to spend a lot of time at Mc Faddin Beach...usually had my camera. It is so unusual to find undeveloped areas of shoreline so accessible from urban areas. This is a rare and special beach. I pray they never fix the road!!

Great beach for chilling out, bbqing, swimming and fishing. Water was a little warm and brownish, however, it wasn't dirty. One of our guys waded out a little and caught a baby shark. Others caught fish. Everyone had a great time. No entrante fee. No restroom or places to buy anything on the beach, so bring everything you need. Quite a few Visitor's got stuck in the sand when they were leaving the beach.

My favorite beach to go to! If you need anything like gas, food or anything for the beach however, get it before you come to the beach as it is far out and you may not have signal! The beach has always been clean for the most part when I go and I go all the time! It's peaceful at night when camping and not as many people there so it's great. We go during the day as well as night and honestly I have no complaints. Also on the state side in which has a small entrance fee, there's also really clean bathrooms and showers in another area! There are also boardwalks you can walk on and check out the wildlife!

Decent beach. Access can occasionally be a problem as dry sand can get deep at the entrance. And, as all of SETX, the water is really silt-laden from the Mississippi River and Gulf Stream. But, it’s not usually crowded, and fishing and shell collecting is good, as is birdwatching.

This place is family friendly. Bring your tent, grill, music and plenty of entertainment for the kids to play with in the water. I have not seen any life guards while I was there, but you can go out a distance from shore and still be able to stand. This place is pet friendly but you are encouraged to clean up after your pet! And it's a great place to go fishing . Oh and I love that you can drive straight up to the beach

I wish people weren't so gross and would clean up after themselves, that beach was dirty! There was glass in some areas. The beach overall is fine, got some waves but they're not too strong.

Very primitive Beach. People leave trash everywhere and I pick up trash every time I go. Its sad people leave all their junk behind on the beach when there are 2 trash dumpsters just as you pull off the road to enter the beach access. The winds are usually strong there. Every time I go there are pull up canopies that are completely destroyed left on the beach or by the dumpsters. Today there were 3 left. All mangled by the wind. Umbrellas and pop canopies are great for lakes and parks, but NOT here! Rough water that isn't good for swimming every time I come here either, but it's beautiful regardless.

Apparently it's a nude beach according to locals. Good vibes!

My kids and I drove in from NE Houston TX to see the bioluminescent algae a couple of weeks ago. It was absolutely breathtaking and such a nice little secluded area. We will be back to check out the nature sanctuary.

Great placefor kids to play in the ocean. Only drawback is the entrance to access the beach has deep sand so vehicles have a tendency to get stuck & have to be pulled or pushed out, which isn't an ideal situation with kids around.

Very beautiful spot to enjoy a day or even just an evening at. Very peaceful and relaxing. Definitely a great place to get away and take in the scenery. If you plan on visiting, make sure to stop and get drinks, snack, etc. that you might need, as there are no stores nor restrooms nearby close. Other than that, it is a wonderful and breathtaking place!

Beach was clean and not overly populated. Plenty of space to set up a tent and fishing poles. And not being in another person's space.

McFaddin Beach in Port Arthur, Texas, is an absolute gem that offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. During my recent visit, I was captivated by the tranquil beauty and peaceful atmosphere that enveloped this stunning coastal destination. One of the highlights of McFaddin Beach is its pristine sandy shoreline. Stretching for miles, the beach offers ample space for relaxation, leisurely walks, or building sandcastles. The soft sand beneath my feet and the gentle sound of the waves crashing against the shore created a soothing ambiance that instantly put me at ease. The beach serves as a haven for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers, making it an excellent destination for those seeking a closer connection with the natural world. Another aspect that impressed me was the cleanliness and maintenance of McFaddin Beach. This is the perfect beach to spend the day. Clean. Not stinky. No seaweed when we were there. You can drive on the beach if your vehicle is 4x4. Otherwise don't. There is a lot of heavy sand at the area where you would have to go in.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Simply put, this is an amazing beach. I camped overnight on the beach 6/1/2021 and enjoyed some great milky way views with the waves crashing just a few hundred feet from me. The sound of the ocean at night is truly serene and relaxing! The hike down to the beach is not bad, just about 1.3 miles...
