My first time here. A little different than you'd expect a restaurant to be more like a bar and grill. QR codes on the table for the menus. You order everything at the bar, ex. drinks and food. They bring your food to the table. To order more drinks you get up and go to the bar every time. Sodas are in a can. I do like that you can get buckets of beer here. Nice spacious patio although we sat inside. The Margaritas were bomb!! Pizzas were huge and delicious. I would definitely go again

Nice very chill spot that has some very delicious drinks, I ordered It's Not Easy Being Green and it was freaking delicious! That's all I ordered all night. They have a ton of space inside and outside to sit and relax. They provide food as well, I really enjoyed this place!

Has some reasonable priced food items and inexpensive drink menu. Really surprised me to find out the sale whole pizzas too. Great atmosphere for before the game or after work fare. Also I'll be back soon.

Monkey’s Tail is just all around great. The food, drinks, environment, and price are all top tier. I would have to search hard to find a complaint. Definitely worth a stop in.

Came here to celebrate my cousins birthday and really enjoyed ourselves. They have amazing drinks, great food and a fun atmosphere. They let us store the birthday girls cake and gave us everything needed to serve it. Friendly staff and overall gest place for groups!

This is a very nice restaurant/ bar. Cool place to hangout with friends and have a great time listening to music. Very busy environment. They have outside space,,very nice out and with heaters now that is getting cold. Food is delicious and good price. If you like to drink hard liquor,,this place is your to go place. I visited this bar with my partner a few days ago to watch the Super-Bowl. We liked the drinks a lot, they’re really good! But the attention wasn’t the best just because one of the times I went to the bar to get another drink, I was standing there while the bartender was helping a customer, once she was done with them, she was coming towards me but decided to help a couple who got there after me. Then when I told her, she said: I’m sorry I didn’t see because I work my way down this way so she doesn’t know who’s next?. Well let me make a suggestion: If you’re working customer service, the customers satisfaction is very important for many reasons you already know so, if possible, be more careful with your clients turns. “Here are some pics of what we ate and drank at this bar that night”

Great drinks, great food, AND great service?! What more could you want?! They have a brunch menu, plenty of patio space, and it’s dog-friendly. There are plenty of spots for cute photo ops and IG worthy content. The staff is bilingual and speaks Spanish. The drinks and food reflect the Mexican theme and cuisine of the bar/restaurant. It’s super chill here. No one rushes you to leave or upsells you on food and drinks. The corn tortilla for the birria taco was a little stale (you could tell because the edges of the tortilla were hard) but I really had no complaints and ate it all anyway because it was so good. They give you a hefty size of carne on top of scrambled eggs and refried beans. I would have never thought of this combo myself so I was happy to try something new. We also ordered chips and queso. They were really delicious. It came with bell peppers and onions in it which I appreciated because it gave the queso flavor. My friend and I had Cactus Coolers to drink — prickly pear soda with tequila. It was light and refreshing. We also had some shots of Mexican Candy that tasted exactly like the name. They have a fully stocked bar, plenty of cocktails, and beer if that’s more your thing. I think this may be my new fave brunch spot in Houston!

All the thumbs up for this place. Not only was the food great. The staff was awesome and they even had amongst all the regular booze and specialty cocktails a killer non-alcoholic German beer that was fantastic. We will definitely be going back.

Atmosphere, music, comfortable sitting. Pet friendly, easy to order drinks. The drinks are very tasty and not too strong. Pastor pizza was 🤤 Restrooms are spacious and clean. Couldn't go to a better place to meet with friends and have a delicious drink! Loved the Mexican Fire Squad

This place is definitely a vibe. It’s in the Northline area which has changed so much over the years. This bar has tons of outdoor patio space and parking. I got there right before they opened so I was able to get a parking spot in the free lot. One of my friends parked on the side street. Because Houston has had consecutive 100 degree days, my friends and I did not sit on the patio, but we did comment that once it cools off, we’d come back to utilize the large patio space. Monkey’s Tail has a variety of great drinks for happy hour and the food selection for happy hour is pretty expansive. The happy hour food is perfect for sharing. My friends and I started the evening with shots and then we ordered cocktails. All of the cocktails were mixed very well and did not skimp on the alcohol. There wasn’t one drink I tasted that wasn’t good. My friends said the same. To order food or drinks, you do have to go to the bar. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. The music in this place was the best. If you like Houston rap music and R&B, you’ll like the selection here. My friends and I were vibing to songs we hadn’t heard in years. One word of caution, if your bring children here, the music is not the clean version. Not sure if it’s normally the case, but there were lots of younger children in the establishment when we were there. Monkey’s Tail is on our list to repeat very soon.

This is our go too spot, love the attention they pay to their customers, they are under remodeling and their kitchen is closed. You can uber eats or bring your own food for the time being. Only complaint/concern is the rookie security guard they have walking around with bullet proof vest taking his job way too serious. A drop leg holster come on man, in a life or death situation you won't be able to reach for your gun in time.
