Walked in, staff didn't have masks on. After about a minute, one of the volunteers walked up, adjusting his mask as he put it on, and said "Please put on a mask." I said "No, thank you" and left. If there was no need for masks before I walked in then there was no need for masks after I walked in. Mask Kabuki theater at its finest!

This was worth the small price to get in! You have the working farm, museum and where the Texas flag was started. 3 places for on price. We were impressed by the staff and workers on the farm. We got there late, so we had to hurry to get done by 5pm. But we saw most of it. Fun for the whole family. Even saw baby piglets on 3 days old.

Montgomery County has a rich and fascinating history, and this museum gives any visitor willing to go... a timeline of some of the important events that occurred ...(with supported historical documents) all the way back to the 1700s...they also have another heritage building / museum beside it discussing the history of oil exploration and development... Lastly, if you have the time, I would highly encourage you to ask for a guided tour.. The young girl providing it is a wealth of knowledge and definitely enriched the overall experience!

Love this. The staff was so amazing and they walked with my kids telling them about whatever they asked about.

NOT a family-friendly museum. A gentleman passive aggressively deterred my wife and sister from entering with their children. He said, "This is a History museum, not a children's play place. They will not have fun." On their website it says, "If there are young ones in your family, the children's room will take them, and you, way back to a simpler time." If children are not allowed, clearly refuse your guests and don't advertise it on your website. If they are allowed, which it seems they are, it is inappropriate to guilt trip visitors and discourage them from receiving an education. What an incredible display of social ineptitude.

Small and Qwaint museum with a number of historical artifacts. Check before you go because they’re only open a limited number of days and hours during the week and weekend. There is no entry fee, but donations are welcomed.
