We took my husband here on Father’s Day for brunch. The atmosphere was very nice. Decor was sophisticated chic and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were seated promptly and met by a server very quickly, which I absolutely appreciated. Many big chain restaurants actually fail horribly in this area, so I was pleased by the prompt attention. The server was nice, patient, and responsive. His smile actually was genuine and made us feel very welcome in the establishment. Ok, so on to the food. Fruit was fresh, cheesy grits creamy, blackened fish flavorful, waffles delicious, and the strawberry mimosa was the best that I’ve had so far. Now, I will say that the Mac n Cheese was not the best that I’ve had. It was sweet and the cheese didn’t seem melted all the way. Some may like it like that, we didn’t. Overall, we enjoyed our brunch at Trez, will definitely make a return visit, and recommend it to those we know.

We really wanted to love this place, but to say the least we are underwhelmed. I’ll start with the pros…. Ambience is quaint & romantic. We went on a Saturday night & really enjoyed the live music, as well as being able to watch the game. Parking is free & easy. But On the other hand…. The hostess didn’t set the tone & the service lacked warmth, slow paced, and unwelcoming. I ordered an old fashioned & it was simply whiskey & bitters, returned for whiskey neat. Resembled a shot (see pic). Moscow mule was lightly poured but decent. Sweet/spicy wings were ok, pasta bland, spinach dip lacked flavor & chips were broken. We wouldn’t return or recommend Trez, and that’s unfortunate for such a beautiful establishment.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME or $$$ Wow I don’t know where to begin but I will not minimize or filter remarks after seeing that there’s so many 1 star reviews this was the worst experience I ever had. The hostess was rude basically told us we’d have to be finished & leave the restaurant by eight because they had supper club reservation. After a mix up due to uncertainty which tables are reserved they seated us@6:45pm. I’ve never been seated at a table for dining & asked to provide a credit card to secure the tab!? The food quality was horrible as if honestly everything came from Sam’s Club, additionally it came out at 7:30pm (45 mins for processed packaged microwave meals,I was referred by someone who is an advocate of supporting black owned businesses I myself have had numerous experiences with black businesses trying to retire off of the first customer versus cultivating relationships for repeat patrons everything on this menus is overpriced and the quality of food service was terrible! Save your $$$. I’ll never return EVER! Note to owner you should be ashamed of the service your providing!

Vibe- This is a super cute black owned wine bar in Montrose! It’s perfect for date night, happy hour (Tues.-Fri. 4-7 pm), or brunch on Sundays (11am-3pm). There’s soft music playing that’s an entire vibe. Customer service- Great! From the time I walked in everyone working there was kind. Food/drinks- I had the hummus that came with pita bread, veggie tacos (I’d get without feta next time), and some truffle fries from the happy hour menu. Everything was delicious. Parking- Plenty of spots in the lot.

The $20 mimosa pitchers are my favorite part about this place. I ordered the chicken & crème brûlée french toast. Chicken was cooked perfectly but absolutely nothing crème brûlée about the french toast which was disappointing. Would recommend this place for groups.

If you dine on the weekends, please ask for the best waitress, Stacy M.!!! she did an amazing job with welcoming us as first time guest, being very knowledgeable of the menu, and letting us know what was the favorite items and the signature drinks to order. The ambience was very astonishing and elegant for a small venue, but it has everything to make a great time with friends and family to celebrate, or just having fun chatting and chewing while eating some fantastic food. The DJ played the right music according to the audience. Overall, the hostesses, waitresses and employees were very welcoming, smiling and making sure all the guests were handled accordingly. The food came out within 20 minutes very hot and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in Htown or if you are a resident. Please remember to ask for Stacy M. Very friendly and great customer service!😊

I absolutely loved the ambiance of this venue. The warm welcome as I entered and greeted at the door. The waitstaff and bar service were professional and friendly. I enjoyed the beautiful views of the artwork and decor. Now let's discuss the food! Delicious!! Tasty! Variety! Did I mention ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! The variety of flavored mimosas were on point. I will be coming back for future event planning and look forward to working with a great group of staff very soon. Excellence!

Beautiful space, great atmosphere, live music on Saturdays in June for black music Month (free entry), black owned liquors in the cocktails. It’s definitely a vibe. Check it out! Great spot to go with gfs or on a date night. I had the oyster plate, it was pretty good, nothing to call home about, but the cocktails were very good. Try the French 75, it hits!

We came for brunch on our anniversary and the vibes are immaculate! First off, the place is beautiful and the ambience was absolutely perfect! We had the lavender mimosas which were so unique and delicious! We could drink them all day! We also had the Belgian waffle sandwich and every part of it was delicious! Would definitely order again! Overall we had an amazing time and will for sure be back for brunch and would love to try the rest of their menu as well!! Also service was incredible and we were well taken care of!

I had the pleasure of hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch for my birthday with 20 other beautiful ladies. I planned the event in advance and this venue did not disappoint. My guests and I had the luxury of a personalized brunch experience, with a fixed menu that included the best menu options available. The live DJ was great and the food was delicious! My guests could not stop talking about how good the food and drinks were! From the ambiance of the restaurant to the vibes, food, and service; I could not have chosen a better place to celebrate my special occasion. Thank you Trez staff for an unforgettable experience!

This place is absolutely awesome! The vibe is like no other. The happy hour food is elegant as well as tasty. This is the new spot after a hard days work for me. Our server Melanie was freaking awesome. She was fast and professional. You would have thought she had on skates the way she was sliding through! Awesome atmosphere!

If you are looking for an establishment to host your event or just a spot to go for good food and drinks this is the place. Hosted a witch themed baby shower here over the weekend it was amazing. I live in nyc however I contacted the manager Monique and she was heaven sent. Monique helped me every step of the way from the planning, recommending vendors, also helping with menu and drink choices. Monique stayed in constant contact to make sure our vision came to life. Once we got to the place we were blown away by the ambiance, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and of course Monique was there to make sure everything went smoothly. Kudos to the chef the food was delicious I had the jerk lamb chops, Mac and cheese, and collard greens when I tell you delicious!! Please try the lavender lemonade mimosa not only is it delicious it’s pretty as well comes to with a pretty flower in it. I could go on and on don’t take my word for it make sure if you visit Houston or if you are already there that you do not miss this spot. Your taste buds won’t regret it. Thanks Trez Bistro and Wine Bar but a special thanks to the star of the show Monique. We will be back.

First time for us here and we will definitely come back. From her greeting to seating us and being very knowledgeable of the menu it was all a plus. I’m sorrry I didn’t catch the name but she was so sweet. And when he told her surprise me on which whiskey to use for his old fashion he loved his drink. Our food well let’s just say we cleaned out the plate. We ordered the chicken and sub waffle for French toast and the jerk Lamb. So kisss to the entire staffs. Live DJ music started around noon on Saturday while we were enjoying our food. Thank you to all :-)

This is a cool little spot. The kitchen is under renovation for a few more days so while I was there the menu was limited. But I recommended the salad with grilled chicken. It was tasty. My cousin enjoyed the lamb and beef meatballs. A DJ was keeping it neo soul real as well. Check it out.

Go to this place!!! Everything was perfect from the parking to the nicely poured drinks. I visited Trez last weekend with a nice group of ladies for a perfume party. The hosts greeted us so kindly. They had a great sense of urgency and checked on us as much as possible! The customer service is top tier. The food was so delicious and the atmosphere was like being home; safe, welcoming and warm! One of the owners, Shawntell even had some gumbo prepared special for me! I cannot wait to visit again!! Thank you, Trez!!

Me and bestfriend went for dinner and the food and music was amazing. The fried chicken was bussin, the ambiance was great and the music had us jamming all night. Lee was our server and he was really nice and professional! 10/10 would highly recommend.

Decided to check out Trez's extended happy hour on Friday. I made reservations, but it wasn't that crowded, so it didn't seem necessary. Nevertheless, we ordered an appetizer Trez tacos and signature cocktails Aquamarine and Pink Sapphire from the Happy Hour menu. I must say Trez's cocktails and apps are always spectacular. I was mad the meatballs weren't on the happy hour menu anymore, but the tacos were a good substitution. Those chicken tinga tacos were so flavorful and delicious! The cocktails were spot on with the unique flavors, and the liquor was on point, I highly recommend them. The only issue was we arrived at 615pm, so music was just a random mix of songs that didn't seem to compliment the atmosphere. Additionally, there were a lot of kids with other guests, so I didn't give me the wine bar vibe I'm used to. The Dj arrives at 7p, so you may want to arrive after that to get that real adult wine bar vibe. Nevertheless, I will definitely be back for another extended happy hour for cocktails and apps!

The environment here is very laid back! I love it here. Ask for Monique as your server if you want the best service. The salmon is seared perfectly

My girls took me here to celebrate my birthday!!! Glows: Free parking and easy to find. Customer service was good! Food came out fast and hot. The mimosas (strawberry peach) and the Lavender drinks were really good. We received a visit from the owner who was super sweet and gorgeous! We ordered French Toast ( the best in my life), The Southern (Chicken, greens and Mac n cheese) very flavorful and tasted like auntie was in the kitchen who learned from granny, Shrimp and grits ( pretty standard) crab cakes (that's a yes for me). The beautiful Dj played a variety of tunes appropriate for a grown and sexy brunch. The decor was on point and they have screens for sports fans. Grow: This was only during this experience and I dare not speak for overall. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the gumbo. I am quite sure it would have been great had it not been scorched. It happens to the best of cooks. Once it's scorched you must start over. The way the other food tasted I'm quite sure this is not the norm. Overall it was an amazing experience and I will be back.

This is a really amazing place if you’re looking for great food and a laid back atmosphere. The artwork is simply divine. My server Jordan was very attentive, answering any questions I had and provided efficient service. Though I did not have a reservation, the staff was able to accommodate me at the bar. I love that it was full but not crowded and the staff was incredible. I would highly recommend this place and if you do go, ask for Jordan! He’s the best!

I have been here a couple times and each time the food was delicious! Very good atmosphere and vibe as well! Nice spot for lunch or dinner. And they have live music on Saturdays!

This is a nice, cozy black owner restaurant. Great for date nights, relax and chill or to just catch up with family/friends. Great service, delicious food, craft cocktails and wine. I can here on a Saturday night which to my surprise was live music night. I enjoyed myself thoroughly. It’s a small place so I would recommend making reservations to ensure you I’ll be seated. Staff was pleasant and atmosphere was inviting.
