Normally I’d give this place four stars but for the price it’s only getting three. Stayed here over a week and ran out of soap and toilet paper. The rooms have balconies with lights that never turn off and shine in through the curtains which had been damaged from misuse. Rooms are small, although packed with luxurious materials and design and the bed is comfortable but the pillows are way too large and they didn’t have any alternatives. The shower pressure is lacking and the bath faucet doesn’t work entirely. Getting in to the tower is annoying as you have to walk through the entire hotel, up and down stairs, and the keycard doesn’t work on half of the doors. The amenities are amazing, but they’re shared with all of the residents in the tower and are almost always busy, plus the pool isn’t heated and there’s no jacuzzi. The breakfast and resteraunt in the hotel are useless, you can read my review of it. Overall the hotel is pretty nice and the service decent, but it just too expensive for what you get.

I’ve stayed in a “hotel” that’s not a hotel last night. Nobody on the website talks about remodeled 2 story apartment complex that is a walking distance from the hotel. The valet parking is in the front hotel/ restaurant and you have to walk to the your room while is almost a hundred degrees outside carrying your bags. The apartment is remodeled but it still smells like the old one. They called it a bungalow. Definitely, that’s not a 5 star property and not wort your money. I had to leave the property the same night because I wasn’t feeling safe at the place. Also, there is entrance door which slams super hard when they open or close it. It made me jump out of a bed a few times. So, I’ve packed my bags, walked all over to the other side where valet parking was located and left. It’s super sad that you have to find another hotel at 9pm. What a waste of my time and money! Hope this review will help people avoid this “hotel” scam.

My review stems from the treatment of ride share drivers who are forced to deliver to this establishment. The concierge who worked the evening of April 07, 2020 at approx 9:30pm looked a ride share driver up and down. After determining that she wasn’t fit to enter the establishment based solely on the way she appeared, he had determined she was not allowed to enter. This resulted in her not being able to deliver hot food in a timely manner. Both her hands were full of items containing the food of which was previously ordered. The concierge proceeded to terrorize the young lady with her arms and hands full of items by smirking, laughing and taunting her. The young lady pleaded with the concierge to allow her to proceed with her delivery and he told she could only park on the outside and wait, despite the instructions given by the ride share app from the customer to have the items delivered to her door. For approximately 15 minutes, this went on. The food was well below the recommended 140 degree temp. She was forced to cancel the order as she was not able to satisfy her delivery. The young man continue to taught her despite her following his every degrading instruction from behind the thick glass doors. This type of behavior displayed shows an implicit bias that should be addressed to both that employee as well as all members of the staff at this establishment. Management should be made aware and address all matters such as this with diligence and grace.

The menu at La Colombe d'Or changes seasonally, but you can always expect to find classic Provençal dishes such as ratatouille, bouillabaisse, and lamb shank. The wine list is extensive, and the service is impeccable. I had the pleasure of dining at La Colombe d'Or a few years ago, and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. The food was simply delicious, and the atmosphere was absolutely magical. I would highly recommend La Colombe d'Or to anyone looking for a truly special dining experience. Here are some pros and cons of La Colombe d'Or hotel restaurant: Pros: Excellent food Beautiful setting Impeccable service Rich history Cons: Expensive Reservations can be difficult to get Can be crowded in the summer Overall, La Colombe d'Or is a truly special place. If you're looking for a luxurious and unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend it. Here are some tips for dining at La Colombe d'Or: Make reservations well in advance, especially if you're visiting during the peak season. Dress smartly. Be prepared to spend a bit of money. Order the tasting menu. It's the best way to try a variety of the restaurant's signature dishes. Enjoy the atmosphere. La Colombe d'Or is a truly special place, and the experience is all about more than just the food.

We loved our brunch at Tonight and Tomorrow. The service, from the valet parking to wait staff, was superb. The food was fresh and elegantly prepared, and delicious! The coffee was outstanding too. The restaurant is gorgeous.

review about tonight & tmrw: Really enjoyed my lunch here. With the renovation I knew I wanted to check out this spot. I absolutely love the classic vibes in the dining hall and their art pieces. It's feels like you are in the 1920s mansion. The staffs were all polite and friendly and their food was so good. I guess the only downside is the menu is quite limited and same goes for dinner menu. Parking is complimentary valet. I really liked the dark green velvet sofa and the pillows, they were super soft. I would prob check out the hotel too!

This is the staple for boutique hotels, the rooms are luxurious and personalized, you can tell the care that went into them. The staff at the hotel is wonderful and the food is pretty good. Additionally the bar is just so pretty to sit at and has amazing drinks

This is related to the restaurant not the hotel. A beautiful setting, very good food and the rest well below par for such a fine establishment.

The manager there who was overseeing the bar was great. Young lady there had us waiting for no reason, he stepped in and got us seated in a timely manner.

The standout of our stay was commitment to service and customers satisfaction that is beyond what you would expect in a four seasons hotel. Every step of the way the staff was by our side and making our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. From check in to check out everyone was beyond helpful and nice. The suites are gorgeous and very spacious in the tower. I love the muted color scheme throughout. The furniture and facilities provided in the rooms are excellent. I urge you to call the hotel and speak to them about what you expect from a hotel room in terms of view. The hotel staff would be able to guide you better so you stay in a room that you will like. The mansion has several guest rooms/suites but I haven’t been in them. The residence tower behind the mansion reserved the two ground floors to the hotel. The most beautiful light and better views are on the Montrose and Harold street corner and along Harold street. The other areas also should satisfy most others as well. Hotel guests have access to the pool on the 10th floor — gorgeous! And a fitness center. The hotel is located in the heart of Montrose district but the tower rooms are dead quiet and provide a wonderful away from the bustle of the city. The restaurant in house is no ordinary hotel lobby restaurant. I thought their food was excellent. The hotel mansion as well as the tower hallways are full of original art work that is a delight to the eyes. If only the very best will do and you want to do a boutique hotel and you don’t want to do the hotels downtown or galleria, this hotel may be the one for you. Talk to them, invest the time to tell them what you need and this hotel and it’s staff will not disappoint.

We spent our wedding night here 30 years ago in 1992- we came back to celebrate and very glad we did :) We stayed in Zimmerman suite then in the Cezanne room - sunbathed and swam, absolutely charming - staff went above and beyond Grace really made sure our stay was exceptional. We may make this an anniversary ritual!

I'll be staying here from now on anytime I'm in Houston. This boutique hotel won me over with it's friendly staff, amazing bar and restaurant, and impeccable attention to detail.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel! My husband & I went for dinner and had a spectacular experience. The food was divine, the ambiance was beautiful and elegant, and the service was unparalleled. I look forward to visiting again!

No elevator in the rooms above the bar. Valet does not greet people and the front desk people seems angry at something. Bar is extremely loud and front desk does not care. Don't understand why the front desk team are on their cellphones. I also noticed the front desk agents shopping online and on YouTube on the hotel computer.

The overnight lady at the front desk and the security guy is rude. I did not feel welcome. They both don't seem happy at all.

This is by far the best hotel in Houston. Many fake one-star reviews have popped up lately—they are totally false. You cannot get this high a level of hospitality anywhere in this region. We are so lucky to have La Colombe d’Or.

We spent our wedding night here in 1992 - we came back after 30 years for our anniversary- while it is very different now :) staff was awesome, everyone so very nice - our original room the cezanne wasnt available and Grace offered us the Zimmerman suite until it was - spent time at pool, the rooms have been redone and are lovely. We may make this our yearly anniversary tradition and trek down from Chicago. Thank you!!

Such a cool spot. Got to sit with the owner for a bit and he genuinely wants everyone to enjoy their stay, makes you feel like family. Rooms in the mansion are very nicely done.

Decent but far from exceptional. Wife booked the room and based on the rates I was expecting something much better.

Booked this hotel and restaurant for a surprise proposal to my girlfriend and it went BEAUTIFULLY. The hotel and restaurant staff went above and beyond to make our special day and stay at the hotel unforgettable. We stayed in the bungalow suites behind the main hotel and loved them! For dinner at the restaurant we did a pre-fixed menu and our waitress Erin was so attentive and nice. Highly recommend this hotel and restaurant!

Came here about a week ago and sat in the bar area one evening and my waiter Dean was THE best! He actually recommended we come back for brunch and I brought my mom and sister with me and he waited on us again! My mother and sister can be indecisive sometimes so Dean actually offered to just place the order for us and have it show up to the table (never had this done before). EVERYTHING he chose for us we all absolutely loved from the drinks to the food. Food and drinks were great, but the service was top notch!! The atmosphere was amazing and we even took a self guided tour of the mansion rooms upstairs! Highly recommend and will be returning with friends of mine in the near future.
